I got my start many years ago when I was living back home in Chicago, at a cute little bakery, that I still visit to this day! I went back and forth between working in graphic design to cooking and baking. I started working in the bakery at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center as a part-time line cook in 2013 and in 2015 a became their in-house cake designer. In 2018, my husband and I made the move from Chicago to Green Bay in the middle of the year. Being a teacher, meant that I had to leave my classroom and students behind in January and had more time on my hands than I knew what to do with. I had seen cookies on Pinterest, and being a DIY gal, decided to take a local class and fell in love with the process of baking and decorating with royal icing.
