Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.8

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Williamsburg, MI

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

My daughter’s wedding was last Friday and it was absolutely perfect. We ordered flowers a few weeks before the wedding and got our first box no problem. The second box with the rest of the order was coming from a different location and UPS made a mistake with our address. If made me so nervous and I thought we are not going to have time to put flowers together but luis stepped in and resolved this situation very professionally. We got our flowers the same day and I can’t thank him enough for acting quickly and being incredibly helpful all they way. All of the flowers that came in looked great. My friend getting married in a few month and I would highly recommend Moxie Flowers to him and everyone who is having a wedding or any other event. A!!!

Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! Everything came out so beautifully and was perfect for our day. Thank you Jen!

We used Bunny as our florist and wedding coordinator - it couldn't have gone better! Our interaction first with Bunny began with a lovely and in depth meeting about our hopes for flowers at our wedding. After walking through some questions, we ended our meeting and then Bunny sent a Flower Preview entailing all we had discussed with other options as well. This preview was set up like a power point with photos from the bride's bouquet to the flowers for the arch, boutonnières, and more! After finalizing every detail and being in constant communication, she sent over a Google Doc in order to fill out information about our wedding, vendors, rehearsals, etc. When the day of my wedding came, all I had to do was set out any decor I wanted to use and as my bridal party, mom, and I all got ready with snacks and drinks she provided, Bunny was furiously decorating the ceremony and reception space. By the time we were done getting ready, the space was complete and BEAUTIFUL! The day could not have gone smoother - as a bride, I was actually relaxed! As the ceremony continued, Bunny worked with my DJ, photographer, and videographer to make sure everything was as it should be. When my food arrived, the caterers had not brought the chicken (one of two main courses). Bunny took care of it by calling the vendor, letting me know it's getting taken care of, and even made an announcement to guests that the chicken was late. Even when something wrong, Bunny made everything feel right. I am incredibly thankful for her help, calm demeanor, and advice she offered along the way. You couldn't choose a better florist or coordinator for your wedding or event! 100 out of 5 stars 3

Bloom Culture: Do-it-Yourself Wedding Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first inquiry, their communication was prompt, kind, and professional. They answered all of my specific questions with personal responses, making the DIY flower process so easy and stress-free. The quality of their work was consistent, thorough, and truly showed how much they cared about making our day special. We saved so much money going the DIY route with Bloom Culture, and it allowed us to create so many wonderful memories putting the arrangements together with our wedding party. I highly recommend Bloom Culture to any couples looking for a reliable, affordable, and caring florist for their wedding. I wanted to do my own flowers to honor my grandmother who was a florist. Stephanie was great to work with from beginning to end. The flowers were beautiful! We would definitely recommend Keepsake Designs. We received many compliments. She did a wonderful job on the arrangements using inspiration photos from my daughter including making pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen. She also provided glass vases for the bridesmaids to display their bouquets at the bridal table. I was kept up to date via text with delivery as well as clean up. We received quotes from 3 other florists and Stephanie was by far the most reasonably priced. I wish I had better pictures to share since we don't have the photographers' photos as yet, but we had a 26' garland for the chapel, flowers attached to every other row, bouquets for 7 bridesmaids and the bride, 7 pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen and the groom, 2 regular boutonnieres for the fathers, 2 corsages for the mothers and then 12 centerpieces.

Studio Wilde Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Williamsburg, MI

Hi, I'm Sarah! Welcome :) Studio Wilde is bases out of my home studio in Fenton, MI. I like to focus my work on unique and artful design with a bit of funk. My favorite client to work with is someone who wants something unique and personalized to them!

We met Sarah through our wedding planner, and she was an absolute perfect fit. The first two florist we reached out to were booked, and the third said they would hold out date; but never sent us a contract or anything to sign. We started getting nervous we were going to be floral-less, which at the time I wasn’t really that upset about. I thought I would be okay with having the bare minimum decoration because I didn’t want traditional wedding flowers. But as soon as we had our consultation with Sarah (~3 months until the reception) I wanted everything she could possibly make is. Our personal style is a little more “alternative” and Sarah’s creative ability matched us so well. Her attention to detail was immaculate (she even glued sparkles on to a few of the Lilies in my bouquet for an extra va-va-voom) and every piece she created was an absolute work of art. From my bouquet, to the mirrorball table decorations, to the standing floral structures: Sarah really tied everything together and gave the space the ambience we wanted. Rather you are alternative like us, or want something more traditional, I will guarantee you Sarah, and Studio Wilde Florals, would be the best fit for your event. You will not be disappointed.

Vormittag Farm & Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Williamsburg, MI for additional fees

With a background in Color, Trend, and Design - Personalizing florals with a customized palette is my niche! As an exclusive Wedding & Event Florist, I specialize in curating a specific palette for you that thoughtfully considers all the layers of your wedding. My job is to help create a cohesive vision! A wedding has a lot of moving pieces, and I ask the intentional questions to give you the piece of mind for your big day. Congrats to you!

Rachel was a treat to work with! Throughout the planning process she was always responsive, informative, and helpful. She had a very detailed intake meeting with us to make sure she understood what we were looking for. She always had suggestions when asked; but it was clear her goal was to bring our vision to life. She succeeded in doing just that and then some. Leading up to the wedding she actually came out with us to plan the floral set up during one of our venue visits, this was such a personal touch and really made us feel like her priority. The day of our wedding she personally dropped off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières at the hotel my wife was getting ready at. Afterwards she ensured that all the florals, center pieces, and a multitude of other floral related decorations were beautifully set up and ready on time for us. She and her team also did the takedown so we didn’t need to worry about anything in that regard, which was wonderful. As long as Rachel is in this line of business I will ALWAYS go to her for any of my floral needs. She’s earned a customer for life, I cannot recommend her enough.

Kay is AMAZING! I was a little nervous to meet at her house, but she is professional and the outcome was worth my hour drive for each meeting. I had a lot of pictures from Pinterest as "visions" but nothing of what I REALLY wanted--Kay made it come to life. She was quick to answer emails and texts and really put me at ease for the setup on the day of my wedding. My bouquet was gorgeous and my husband even commented on how the boutonnieres complimented our theme for the day. Beautiful arrangements by a wonderful designer!
