The Buchanan House Mansion built in 1883 is now placed on the rolling his of the Buchanan House Winery and Vineyard. In 2009, the mansion was scheduled to be demolished. The Weaver Family of Tipton, sad to see it go, purchased the mansion and later moved it 7 miles to its new location. Now the mansion is the perfect place to host a small event for up to 40 guests. The 19-acre vineyard and garden make a beautiful place to host an outdoor ceremony and reception. All of our wine is made in the basement of the mansion and tasting room. Grace Lutheran Church was organized on February 2, 1888, with 18 charter members. It was notable for being the first “English” church, with services in English rather than Swedish, in the Augustana Synod. Proudly serving the Quad Cities since 2009, we are family-owned & operated, women-owned, & LGBT-owned. We opened the Crane & Pelican Cafe in 2009. Our vision was to make real handcrafted food, with a full-service top-shelf bar, in this beautiful location. Any changes we have made to the property have been to restore it to its original glory. We added live Jazz in 2021 and we look forward to making some amazing new memories here at the Dawley house.

At the Barn at Brophy Creek, we are a family run business on a fourth generation farm. Running along the edge of Brophy Creek, the farm was purchased in the 1950's by my grandfather who immigrated from Germany and worked the farm as a hired man when he was 18 years old. The next generation took over and my dad began farming the land. My husband and I moved into the farmhouse where we raised our 4 beautiful children. I’ve stayed on this acreage my entire life. It is my history. Eventually, my dad retired and the buildings began to deteriorate. I knew we had to save these historic buildings and share them with the community, so we got creative and dreamed up the wedding and event venue that Brophy Creek is today. Luckily, my husband is able to take the dreams and visions I have in my head and make them reality. In 2015 we began dreaming it up, tearing it apart, and rebuilding - we've put our lives into this space.
