About this venue

Cedar River Ranch Resort & Events Center is owned by Freda & Jim Sojka, along with daughter & son-in-law Nikki & Lee Salek, plus family & friends. Freda, creator of Bug Soother, sold the company in 2021 to open Cedar River Ranch. The family also founded Cedar River Haven, a sober living community for women, and The Box Lunch food truck, supporting women in recovery. With rolling hills, lush forests, and stunning Cedar River views, the ranch showcases SE Iowa’s beauty. It’s the perfect venue for weddings, reunions, or a guys' trip!

Our idyllic setting next to the Cedar River in SE Iowa is the perfect place to say “I Do.”

This space features a nearly 3,000 square-foot indoor room with stage and 500 square-foot covered patio with ceiling fans. Indoor space is heated & air conditioned. We also have 16 cabins available to rent so all your guests can safely stay here.

Weekday - $800, Fri-$1000, Sat-$1500, Sun-$1000; 2 Day-$2000, 3 day-$3000, $500 damage deposit you get back after your event and that there is no damage. Optional clean up fee $150

Our idyllic setting next to the Cedar River in SE Iowa is the perfect place to say “I Do.”

This space features a nearly 2500 square-foot indoor room. Has a buffet line convenient for feeding your guests. Also has a covered patio out the side door. We also have 16 cabins available to rent so all your guests can safely stay here.

This cute little lodge is great for any small gathering, conference, workshop, or retreat. Great space outside to enjoy as well.

This cute little lodge is great for any small gathering, conference, or workshop. The space provides a full kitchen and communal area as well as a private bathroom. You can also book the sleeping cabins along with the lodge for a perfect retreat. We have 16 total cabins available to rent.
