Cate Barry Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,900
  • Serves Waterbury, CT

I am a Connecticut-based wedding and portrait photographer obsessed with candid moments, real emotion, and the connections between human beings. I strive to capture life as we actually live it: full of beauty and roughness, joy and struggle, extravagance and simplicity. When I photograph you, I’m not thinking about getting likes on social media. I’m thinking about what will make your heart grow three times its size. I’m thinking about what will make you ugly-cry, looking back. I’m thinking about you seeing how awesome and truly loved you are.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband I decided to elope, planning the whole event in a week. It was important to me to get great photos to share with the friends and family who wouldn't be with us on the day. As soon as I saw Cate Barry's portfolio, especially with the candid photos, I knew that she was the right person to capture the true spirit of the day. Luckily, she was able to squeeze us into her calendar, and our preliminary meetings with Cate were fantastic: she made sure she understood our priorities—super open to who we are and what we care about—and she acted as friend, therapist, and wedding expert in a very frantic time. She even recommended a fantastic officiant who was exactly our speed. On the day, the three of us met up for some outdoor photos before the ceremony, and while I was afraid my husband and I might be awkward or stiff, Cate put us at ease immediately, and we were smiling with natural poses in no time. Then at the venue, Cate both contributed to and captured the joyful, relaxed atmosphere of the day.  We got our photos in record time, and even when we first flicked through the images on my phone over pizza, we could immediately tell Cate had memorialized the magic of the day, from happy tears to spontaneous jumping up and down with our witnesses. It means a lot to have wonderful pictures to share with our loved ones, and we would work with Cate again in a heartbeat.

Keane Eye Photography

I am animated, honest and fun! I am a mom, wife, teacher, avid runner and overall a very passionate person. I love my family, anything nautical and really enjoy a great glass of bubbly at the end of a long day! I'd love to meet you!

Erica came highly recommended by our wedding planners, Consilium Events, and she nailed it! Her energy and humorous approach were very well received by everyone, especially the bridal party. Erica was flexible and highly communicative and helped us stay organized and on task all weekend so that we could strike the right balance between having fun and capturing important moments. We would 100% without reservation recommend Erica to anyone with photography needs, regardless of the occasion. One thing that we really liked was that Erica is a teacher and a mom... she knows how to multi-task especially when people have low attention spans!! Great job Erica and the Keane Eye team!!!!

Wedding photography is not just a job, it’s a true passion that I do because I love it. The long wedding days, the planning - I cherish every moment of it!

Ephe was the best photographer ever. I was one of the last people in my friend group to get married and I’ve seen some photography disasters happen the day of. Ephe had none of that and all of my friends loved her and her work ethic. She is very punctual and organized. She understood the vibe that I was going for and she had my sneak peeks and all of my wedding pictures edited super quick! I wish I lived closer to Ephe so I could hire her for all of my photography needs.

RS Moments

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Waterbury, CT

Our style is artistic and documentary, and can be described in three words; Sincere, Scenic, and Inspirational. Sincere, we will never ask you to act unnaturally in front of our camera; we will adjust to your personalities and photograph you as you are. Scenic, because we love beautiful landscapes and love to incorporate everyone in such environments. Inspirational, because there is always a new way or a new idea to capture a photo but in the end it's capturing that special moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
RS Moments were the perfect wedding photographers for our special day. From the moment we first spoke with them, their communication style was considerate, kind, and unique. They truly understood the importance of capturing our day in a way that felt personal and special to us. Throughout the process, they were caring, understanding, and respectful, guiding us through different poses and angles to get the perfect shots. We loved how they incorporated unique elements like mirrors, umbrellas, and the beach to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind photos that perfectly complement our love. The results were absolutely stunning, and we are so grateful to have these memories preserved. We couldn't recommend RS Moments more highly!

Stephanie Anestis Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style

Hi, I'm Stephanie! I specialize in backyard weddings and small celebrations. I connect best with couples who might include their dog in the ceremony, make their day uniquely theirs, and don't sweat the small stuff. A jar of wildflowers is as interesting to me as a perfectly crafted orchid bouquet. I love documenting the small moments and details, and I see beauty everywhere on a wedding day. My face always hurts from smiling so much on my drive home! I know how to take charge for posed portraits (and always do some!) but I prefer to capture moments as they happen. I've been a photographer full-time for over fifteen years.

Awarded Best of Zola
Stephanie was absolutely AMAZING! If we could give 10 stars we would. During our consultation she was so reassuring and did not mind my many questions (and trust me there were a lot). Our day was so full of love it was overwhelming after the wedding to remember everything. With her artistic eye and ninja like movement she caught it ALL. From the natural blending moments of our families to the personality of both my husband and I together. Five years later we look at pictures or scroll through our wedding book and every happy moment comes flowing back. Thank you Stephanee, you are truly talented.

Kel C Photography LLC

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,700
  • Serves Waterbury, CT

I’m a full-time wedding photographer currently based in Central Connecticut. I love traveling, Thai food, all dogs, almost every type of music, and pretty much anything related to astronomy. Talking about myself has always been a little weird for me because I love hearing about you. My couples become my friends instantly, no really – as soon as we have our first chat together it’s DONE. BFFs for life. Be prepared for creating secret handshakes, inside jokes, and a ton of memories together!

Kelsey was a dream to work with - like having a friend with you on your wedding day. It's clear her goal is to please her clients - I did not feel nickel and dimed whatsoever. In fact I felt the opposite - she showed up early to all our events with a smile and true excitement. She took creative direction with ease and appreciation and is just so talented. Don't hesitate to book with her, you'll be so glad you did.

We are Jasmine Tianna Photography, a wedding photography business located in Connecticut. We believe a couple's love story deserves to be captured in the most beautiful way possible. Recognizing that a wedding is a singular moment in time, we'll capture it in away that envelopes intimacy and romance. Trying to capture every detail with a stylish, journalistic approach so the pictures can be enjoyed for many years to come.

The pictures came out amazing and it’s now hard to choose which ones we want to use for various things because we love them all. She was so great to work with and made us feel super comfortable. She really understood who we were as a couple and made sure that it was captured in the pictures she took. I would recommend her 10x over to any couple needing engagement photos

David Apuzzo, Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Waterbury, CT

David's career began when he switched majors from graphic design to photography in college. His style of photography is unique, taking advantage of natural light, insisting on quality, and bringing out the best in his subjects. Many years of experience have given him the ability to make the best of his surroundings and create a comfortable environment while managing a shoot.

We recently had the incredible opportunity to work with David as our wedding photographer, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From our initial meeting, David demonstrated a deep understanding of our vision and was genuinely enthusiastic about capturing our special day. His helpfulness and guidance throughout the entire process were invaluable. David also did our engagement shoot, and the photos turned out stunning. He has a remarkable ability to capture the essence of the moment, and those initial photos only heightened our excitement for the wedding day. On the day of our wedding, David’s presence was a true blessing. He kept everyone calm and composed, which is no small feat on such an emotional day. His approach was patient and unhurried, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment without feeling rushed. David’s skill in directing group shots was impressive, ensuring everyone knew where to be and what to do, which made for smooth and efficient photo sessions. One of the things we appreciated most was David’s consideration for our comfort. He allowed us to take breaks when needed, maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. This thoughtful approach helped us stay refreshed and present, making the entire experience more memorable. The pictures David took were nothing short of breathtaking. Each photo beautifully captured the joy, love, and magic of our wedding day. Rachel, who assisted David, was equally fantastic. Her attention to detail and support throughout the day enhanced the overall experience and ensured everything went smoothly. In conclusion, we cannot recommend David highly enough. His and Rachel’s professionalism, talent, and warm personalities made our wedding day truly unforgettable. We are forever grateful for the incredible photos and the wonderful memories they captured for us. Thank you, David and Rachel, for your exceptional work and dedication.

Tyler Jordan Soucy Photography

Beautifully posed and produced images are great, but for me—especially when it comes to weddings—manufactured moments don’t carry the emotional heft that the occasion deserves. When I look back at photos from my life, it’s the candid moments—captured by and with close friends and family—that bring the memories and emotions flooding back, the ones that truly stick. That’s how I want your wedding photos to feel for the rest of your life. Starting out in street photography and behind-the-scenes work on film sets, I’ve always believed that the most significant moments a wedding photographer can capture are those untouched by their own influence.

I highly recommend this company to take photos at your wedding! We loved our photographer Percy. He was incredible, and so helpful. He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.

More than a decade ago, two sisters - knew there had to be a better way to allow talented photographers and videographers to focus on what they do best -- create gorgeous art -- while providing couples with better support in the planning process. Together, they created an all-inclusive, stress-free environment where couples can choose from talented local photographers and videographers and work with a small team of planning experts equipped and eager to make everything a success. With the pressure gone, you can truly enjoy your big day. Relax and rest assured that all the emotional and moments will be documented with unmatched quality.

We absolutely loved working with OLAS! Our team (photo & video) was so adaptable to the venue and had great ideas for shots and making the most of the location. I loved all of the candids taken of the guests which is something I wanted during the ceremony and reception. We were able to see parts of the night that we would have missed. The planning team was also great- Hannah was very helpful in giving me an example timeline ahead of our call. We’re so pleased with our choice to select OLAS!

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

PictureMeThisByLacie

I have been a wedding photographer for over for over a decade. A few years ago my husband quit his job to work with me full time so we come as a photo team! Just like you, we have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving and laughing. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone. Like, please don’t take a photo of me from below! Hello double chin! What I’m saying is, We Got You!

Awarded Best of Zola
Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?

I have made it my goal to become proficient across a wide range of photographic/editing styles, in order to better serve the needs and preferences of each individual client.

We hired Johnny for our wedding, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From our first meeting for our engagement photos, he made us feel comfortable and understood our vision perfectly. On our big day, Johnny was a true professional—he and his assistant blended in with our guests while capturing every precious moment. The candid shots were genuinely heartwarming, showcasing emotions that we didn't even realize were being captured. He is truly a master at capturing the "moment before the moment". The posed photos were equally impressive, with a beautiful balance of creativity and elegance. The editing was fantastic; the colors were vibrant, and every image felt timeless. We received our photos promptly, and the quality was outstanding. Overall, we can't recommend So Behold This/Johnny enough. He not only delivered stunning images but also is a joy to work with! Kaitlin Toto Photography

I’m a storyteller. That’s what I’m here to do - document the story of one of your greatest celebrations. My work is heavily focused on the authentic, unplanned moments. My approach is observational and real, creating images that are genuine representations of you, those you love, and the space and moments you share. I create true-to-life images that will bring you back to some of your sweetest, most treasured moments for years to come. These images aren't just for you, after all - they're for the branches of your family tree that have yet to grow. For the generations to come.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. Kaitlin immediately stood out to me as someone with the ability to capture the essence of a couple. As I browsed her galleries I felt like I knew the couples and their stories by the time I was done. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. After consulting with Kaitlin it was even more clear that she was the perfect photographer for us. Kaitlin listened to our requests, asked us questions to get a better understanding of what sort of coverage we’d like, and checked in multiple times leading up to the wedding day to go over plans. On the day of, Kaitlin was incredible. She set her flash units up perfectly to give a beautiful sense of lighting to our indoor pictures. Kaitlin was quick and professional with our family formals without feeling like she was rushing anyone. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us. If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple. At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. Working with her is like having a best friend there take your wedding photos.

If you're the kind of couple that would prefer their photographer feel like one of the guests as opposed to a paparazzi, and if when the neighbors complain about the noise, you just invite them to the party, keep reading. I take a documentary-style approach to my weddings. Roaming with a camera, I capture the candid moments and small details that make your wedding unique to you, while making sure to set aside time for a few special portraits.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!
