We were one of the first couples to book at Tall Oaks. We took a chance when at the time the venue was just a construction site. So happy we took that leap of faith. As a new venue, of course there were hurdles throughout our journey but the destination far exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was perfect and the venue is stunning beautiful, Taylor and Sarah were wonderful and the entire service staff not only did their job well but made the night FUN. I can only imagine how incredible it will be for couples once the carriage house is complete, lovers lane, etc. Tall Oaks offers so many great additional amenities. I would call it a “one stop shop” for venue, on site accommodations, beautiful scenery for pictures, etc. If I could do it over again, I would definitely book with Tall Oaks again.

We could not recommend our experience with the Doubletree enough. Our coordinators were fantastic, the food was delicious and we got to know many of the hotel staff by name over the course of our weekend (the front desk, the chef, custodian, etc.). They were also super professional and communicative regarding both our two postponements due to COVID19 and a coordinator staffing change over our time working with the venue. (Both our first and second coordinators were great!) You will be hard-pressed to find a venue of this quality for a better price. Do yourself the favor and book here!

The Stables at Connoquenessing was originally built in 1928 as part of the Spang Estate. What was once a working barn home to Belgian draft horses and Guernsey cows, has now been renovated into a rustic, yet elegant two-story event facility. During the 1950s, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and geese could be found roaming the portion of the property that is now occupied by a covered patio, well-kept landscaping, and ample green space that creates a beautiful natural setting for all of your future events. The two-story barn was renovated and reopened as a rustic, yet elegant event facility in 2017. Complete with modern-day amenities, such as a fully-equipped catering kitchen, cozy bar and cocktail space, intimate downstairs dining area, covered patio, spacious second-floor banquet hall, this unique venue is the perfect setting for any gathering.

This was the easiest decision to make when planning our wedding. We originally planned on going through Allegheny County Parks and renting a shelter but we had issues as we wanted to rent Veteran’s Day Weekend and the Parks Department wasn’t open. So my husband found The Stables, and after 10 minutes of touring and talking to Jaclyn, we were sold. The space is gorgeous, very accommodating, and Jaclyn is now one of my favorite people. She made sure everything was perfect, even standing up for me when I was too afraid to ask for specific things with a vendor. She takes care of the event, the coordination day-of, and the people, which is rare. Looking back, I get the wedding-bell blues for the fact that my time at The Stables and with Jaclyn is over, but I will hold other events there in the future, without a doubt! Super close to a lot of shops and amenities, can’t go wrong. The Stables will have a special place in my heart for years to come.

The circular waterfront Pagoda hosts romantic ceremonies with the lake as the backdrop. Personal and attentive to detail. Easy to work with, had a lot of dietary restrictions to work within and they were more than accommodating. Communication was responsive. The setting itself was beautiful and peaceful for a Sunday morning brunch, which everyone enjoyed. Very grateful for how easy they made the event to plan.

Brides love this freedom because it means they have time to come decorate before the day of the wedding, and they don't have to end the party by a certain time! This also allows you to host your rehearsal dinner at the barn if you wish. And feel free to bring your furry friends - pets are welcome!

Five Pines Barn is a fun and beautiful setting for a wedding. Michelle and her husband are very easy going and let you set up the venue however you want. They are willing to help with any changes you need to make your day a great one. They allow you to use whatever other vendor you want for food, music, etc. We would definitely recommend for other weddings!

I want to send a huge thank you to Perky Kettle. I had my daughter in law's shower there today. Everything was perfect from the moment we got there until the moment we left. We got the total experience of an authentic British Tea. The owner Jeff was very gracious. The wait staff was over the top excellent. The food was absolutely amazing. Now that I have found this hidden local gem, I will be coming back again soon. Thank you, Jeff, Hallie and staff, at Perky Kettle for making our day so memorable!

    My husband and I had the blessing of finding the B&O for our wedding in May 2024. I couldn’t sing enough praises for the amazing people, the beautiful venue, and the fantastic food this place has to offer. Not only are they affordable, but they will work with you on payments. Shannon was an absolute godsend in helping us plan for our big day. I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is, but I would probably run out of writing space. If you were looking for the perfect spot with a wonderfully historic and rustic atmosphere, do yourself a favor and give them a call!

      My new husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the Peter Allen Inn & Event Center. We were very pleased with both their communication and the final outcome. Email responses from their event coordinator were always fast, allowing us to quickly make decisions during the planning process. On the big day, the venue truly captured the romantic yet rustic vibe I had envisioned. From the string lights to the floral arrangements, all our decor came together beautifully. The staff provided quality service, attending to guests' needs. While a couple trays of cookies didn't make it out in time, it was a tiny hiccup during an otherwise flawless event. The chef prepared delicious entrees that had our guests raving. We highly recommend the Peter Allen Inn to other couples planning their dream wedding.

        I cannot recommend this venue enough! It is modern, clean, beautiful grounds, and indoor/outdoor space. Tables, chairs, linens are included (which is huge!). The owners, Kris & Dean, were an absolute delight to work with. They always answered our emails right away. They were responsive during the entire process, very kind, flexible, and generous with all of the decor items they already have and allow you to use with no additional charge. I am thrilled I found this place and it was an honor to have my wedding here.
