We had the best experience with Matt for during our wedding. Not only are our photos stunning, but he was just a joy to work with. I've already recommended his services to a couple of engaged friends, and I'll keep doing so for as long as I can! We couldn't be happier with our photos and how easy he was to work with. A Charleston Wedding Photographer with a fierce love for storytelling, fostering memories and capturing those moments that you will want to treasure forever. I get to tell your story. And, I think that’s pretty cool. I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.

  • Starts at $3,500

Hi there, my name is Jen El-Haddad! I am the lead photographer and owner of "Jennifer Mary Photography". I specialize in lifestyle photography and portraits! I started this business almost a decade ago, as a Photography/Computer Digital Imagery student at Shepherd University (Go Rams!) with a dream to share the artistic joy with others. However, life seemed to have a different plan. I slowly moved into the corporate world and lost touch with my creative side. After lots of soul searching and a 7-year hiatus, I found my love for photography (again.

Jen was amazing! Prior to our wedding we booked our engagement photos with Jen, so we could practice poses. I had a very particular lighting style, and Jen listened to my wishes and used the most amazing light angles and edited the photos in the was I had asked for. Prior to the wedding we had phone calls and meetings to make sure we had a set list of the photos I wanted, so that the day of nothing would be missed and it was stress free. Wedding day Jen captured every moment from getting ready, to the ceremony, family portraits, couples photos and even dances at the reception. Jen is kind, caring, respectful and professional. She was truly a joy to work with and I am in love with my wedding photos! I highly recommend booking your wedding, engagement or any pictures with this lovely photographer!

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mary was with us through our proposal, engagement, and wedding journey. She captured all of our special moments so perfectly. She is professional and always communicated with us to deliver us her best work!! We couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture our most perfect memories.

Hi there! I’m Emma CotéEwers, your East Coast & Destination Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer! My work is a seamless blend of traditional heirloom portraiture, lively artistic shots, and a little photojournalism if the day calls for it. With a true-to-color, film-inspired approach, I strive to craft visuals that capture love, laughter, and those beautifully authentic moments that weave together the story of your wedding! I feel like these should include fun facts? Patsy Cline’s Walkin’ After Midnight is my favorite song and I am currently on my 8th nostalgic binge of Gilmore Girls (which might just be fueling my banter lately).

Emma is literally the kindest soul you’ll ever meet and my pictures came out so well! I’m plus size girls, so I felt very nervous about getting my pictures taken. She made me feel so confident and so loved in such a small amount of time. The photos are breathtaking and she is willing to do anything to get the perfect shot! You need her if you want the best photos!!

He was able to capture a lot of laughs and love through the photos. My husband hates posing for photos, but Ney was able to guide both of us for the perfect picture. Unfortunately our wedding day got rained out by a tropical storm so we weren’t able to take many of the planned photos outside. Ney was super kind and offered to meet up with us after our honeymoon to take those shots that we couldn’t the day of. Forever grateful for that. Thank you so much! Megan Pitts Photography

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,100
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

My philosophy is simple... I am here to tell the story of the day you married the love of your life. I want to document the excitement of you getting ready with your best friends, the look on your mother's face when she sees you in your dress for the first time, and the tears your father cries during the father - daughter dance, and that "Oh my God, we are really married?!" look of joy on your faces as you walk down the aisle as a married couple for the first time. I will pose you and guide you when necessary, but I believe when you are focusing on each other and really soaking in those moments --- that's when the magic happens.

Megan's photography skills are simply unmatched. From our engagement session to our wedding day, she effortlessly captured the essence of our love story, creating timeless memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. During our engagement shoot, Megan made us feel comfortable and relaxed, allowing our personalities to shine through in every photograph. When it came to our wedding day, Megan exceeded our expectations once again. She effortlessly blended into the background, capturing candid moments and genuine emotions with an artistry that is truly remarkable. Megan's photographs tell the story of our day with authenticity and grace. She went above and beyond to ensure that every shot was perfect. Megan's passion for her photograph is evident, and it shines through in every photograph she takes. She has a gift for capturing the beauty and creating images that are both breathtaking and full of meaning. We are beyond grateful for her talent, dedication, and professionalism, and we recommend her to anyone in search of a photographer who will capture their most precious moments. Thank you, Megan, for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

For as long as I can remember I have always loved to create. My passion for photography started when I was a teen. As I honed in on my craft I began to photograph on a more professional level right out of high school, but stepped away for academic pursuits. After completing both a bachelors and master's degree in Anthropology, I came full circle, determining that a career in doing something creative was where my heart lies. Whether it is your wedding, or any other special moment in your life, I cherish the opportunity to document it in a way that highlights the artistic elements, while still capturing an authenticness that is uniquely you.

We had an amazing experience working with Alyssa Marie Photography for our wedding! Alyssa and her husband were an efficient, friendly, and reliable team who captured all the special moments from our big day. Their communication style made planning easy, and they worked seamlessly in the background on our wedding day to get fantastic shots without ever being intrusive. The quality of Alyssa's work is excellent - the photos are timeless, classic, and thorough in documenting our wedding from start to finish. We absolutely loved having Alyssa there and can't recommend her highly enough! Her photography style results in gorgeous, meaningful images that we will treasure forever. We're so grateful we chose Alyssa Marie Photography to document our special day.

Jenna Therese Photography

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,800
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

Hello! My name is Jenna and I am a Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer based out of Cleveland, OH & Tampa, FL. I got married to my best friend on July 9th, 2020 down in Hilton Head Island. I am a proud dog mom to my two golden retrievers, Atticus & Willow. My favorite parts of a wedding day is capturing bridal details, sunset portraits, and the first dance as husband & wife! I'm so glad you're here!

Awarded Best of Zola
Just like the title says - look no further, Jenna is THE BEST wedding photographer! I’m a “retired” bridal model and have worked with plenty of wedding photographers in the past. You’d think it would be a difficult decision for who I hired for my own wedding, but truly the decision was so easy - Jenna! She puts couples at ease from the moment you meet her and truly values all of your wishes for your wedding day. Not only will she create beautiful memories of your big day, but she will help you make your timeline, fix your dress straps, be mindful of awkward family members who don’t get along, get onto the dance floor for the perfect shot, and honor all your ideas. I had Jenna taking pictures of Taco Bell sauce packets, making my divorced parents look like they loved each other again, and she didn’t even bat an eyelash when she picked up my dog’s crusty and slobbery stuffy to get her to look at the camera. By the way - if you’re hoping to include your dogs in your photos, you HAVE to work with Jenna! She’s a dog lover and got my two dogs to sit still, look, and even SMILE for pictures! I know a ton of photographers dread working with pets because they’re not as easy to photograph as humans, but Jenna was a pro. The photos from my wedding with my dogs are some of my favorites!! Jenna is also great at posing her couples and bridal parties without looking cheesy. When we look at our wedding photos, they all look so genuine, candid, romantic, and sweet - not stiff and stuffy like prom photos. My husband hates pictures, but you’d never know - Jenna made it so easy and the results were incredible. We even hired her to do our maternity photos and have remained friends to this day. I can’t say enough great things about her!

Planning my wedding was definitely exciting, but had a lot of stressful moments because I can be a perfectionist and very indecisive. I think I was mostly nervous about booking a photographer because eventually people will forget the details maybe even the dress I chose, but the pictures are forever. So that was what I wanted to be absolutely perfect. Let me tell you… my prayers were answered when I found Rabab!!! I was immediately drawn by her absolutely stunning work, and I knew that was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. When I met Rabab in person, to discuss my needs for a photographer and get a quote, I was instantly put at ease when I met her. She has a way of making anyone feel very comfortable with her charismatic personality. She is also funny and made me feel like we were friends instantly! She was able to customize what I was looking for which was really nice because other photographers that I reached out before had a very rigid package that they offered. Rabab genuinely cares and always aims to please. When I first saw our engagement photos, I literally cried tears of joy. There’s only been a couple of other times in my life when that has happened. I just genuinely felt so overjoyed and completely ecstatic with Rabab‘s PERFECT work!!! I am not comfortable taking pictures because I don’t feel that I’m photogenic and again I am super picky and a perfectionist, but Rabab captured my very best features and angles, and made me look better than I ever have! I was instantly ecstatic to see what our wedding pictures would look like, and she did not disappoint me once. She is super professional, kind, genuine, and offered to help me the day of my wedding with little things that she didn’t have to do with her role as my photographer. looking back on my wedding day there are certain things I would do differently… but I am the most grateful for Rabab! I will forever be more than satisfied and overjoyed that I chose her to be our wedding photographer. Her stunning work speaks for itself!!! she is crazy talented, and absolutely brilliant! She is also a brilliant artist, it’s so inspiring to meet someone that talented in so many ways! She is someone that I consider an honor to know, and have worked with. Trust me… The best decision you can make is hiring Rabab. She is everything a wedding photographer should be and so much more, she exceeded my already perfect expectations!!

I'm Erin. I'm a photographer, traveler, and wide-eyed wonderer. I split my time between the Midwest and my bungalow near the beach in Oceanside, CA. My favorite pastimes include exploring Disneyland, watching Schitts Creek & Ted Lasso, and cuddling my dog. I have a loud laugh. I love cabernet franc, chocolate chip cookies, and I'm on a constant search for the best tacos in the world.

Erin is an incredibly warm person and immediately made us feel comfortable during our engagement shoot. We had never done a shoot like this and were nervous and worried about feeling awkward, but her easygoing demeanor and natural instructions took all the stress off of us and we really enjoyed the experience. Erin has a detailed eye and a talent for capturing the natural beauty of the outdoors which was important to us. After our first great experience, we asked her to shoot our wedding as well on a cliff overlooking Sedona, AZ. She captured the scenery and golden hour lighting in breathtaking shots that were flattering of us and perfectly captured the grandeur of the red rocks around us. We will treasure the photos forever. Originally from South Carolina, I've spent over a decade embracing the vibrant spirit of Los Angeles, which has become my cherished home. Photography isn't just a passion for me—it's a means to connect deeply with my surroundings and to immortalize precious moments for others. I find immense joy in preserving the essence of life's most treasured memories through my lens, while forging meaningful connections with everyone I photograph.

Emily shot our wedding back under the pier at Manhattan Beach. She was great in every way. We live out of state so we had a preliminary zoom call to meet and go over expectations. Loved her personality and work immediately. Keep in mind, I’m a photographer myself and I loved that on the day of the event, she arrived early, she jumped right in, she was great at getting sneaky shots from afar as well as wrangling people into shots (I’ve found a lot of photographers are pretty passive and quiet and don’t really get too involved, which I’m not a big fan of. Emily gets it done!) The photos turned out beautifully and came back in a super reasonable timeframe. I would hire her again and again, but I’m really hoping this is my last marriage and I won’t need her for any more wedding photography! -D

If you're considering booking Nathan and his team, DO IT! We could not have asked for a better photography team for our wedding day. Nathan created both amazing standard shots and some of the most beautiful creative shots I've ever seen. We got our first sneak peek the day after the wedding and were floored! We can't wait for our full reveal on Wednesday. Thank you Nathan for sharing your phenomenal skill with us!!

I found my way behind the camera after years of art directing in the fashion industry in NYC. I always loved photography as it captures a moment in time, frozen forever. Taking my knowledge & experience from my fashion days, mixing it with my love for romance, love & art I made the leap to weddings. I photograph film in which I believe that is has a romantic dreamy elegance that only film can capture. I’m based in Honolulu,Hawaii, and I love to travel. Exploring the world to learn about new cultures, meet new people, get lost in a museum and drive the countrysides taking in the sublime sceneries around brings me joy.

The photos we have previewed so far, have turned out perfect. For our wedding day, it was stress free and flowed seamlessly, which if you have a big family (or party) is significant especially since you need to corral them for photos. She met with us beforehand to make sure we were able to get everything we wanted from our special day. The day of, she helped us move our pictures along (while still taking breathtaking photos by the way, one of them is going to be life sized on our wall) so that we could really enjoy our wedding. We still cannot believe how perfect our wedding was and cannot thank her enough for capturing it. Mahalo nui loa!! (Thank you very much)

With a focus on telling your story authentically by guiding you through the moments of your day, my biggest goal is to capture how it felt. Come as you are and let me show you for years to come what your love looks like from your loved one's point of view. It's just a normal Monday. You're thumbing through your wedding album, and as your eye catches each photo, you remember. More than that, you feel it. Everything about the day: the anticipation, the joy, the emotion, the exhilaration of that exact moment it all began, surrounded by the very best. You can feel it because it's there, captured forever. That's why you work with Alexis.

Alexis is amazing to work with! We felt super comfortable the entire session and always laughing like we were old friends. Her images captured us to a T and were bbeeaaauuutttiifffuuulll!! I can not recommend Alexis enough!!!

Moments by Danielle Nicole is a light and airy photographer and videographer, serving brides in South Dakota, Minnesota, and open to travel to beautiful destination locations. MBDN leans towards a luxury wedding photographer and fine art type of editing style.

We hired Danielle for our wedding after our original photo/video team cancelled on us 6 months out. As stressful as it was, I’m so glad that happened because Danielle is AMAZING. She is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met and her light and airy photos are stunning. She is very professional and organized. She loves what she does and it shows through her work. We all know posing for pictures is awkward sometimes, but Danielle made us and our bridal party feel comfortable on the wedding day and it shows in the photos just how much fun we had with her. Danielle actually lives in SD about 45 minutes from my husband and I and we have already discussed that she will be our go to photographer for all our future photo needs. Her prices are beyond reasonable for everything included in her packages. We actually got the same amount of coverage as the original team we hired, but for about 1500 less which is huge when planning a wedding! If you’re looking for a photo/video team reach out to Danielle, you won’t be disappointed!

From her high school darkroom days, to full time wedding and family photography, Kelsie leaned into her passion of capturing couples’ stories as they unfold. As a student of the Art Institute of Boston and Maine Photographic Workshops, art has always been an outlet for Kelsie. In addition, her Culinary Arts and Hospitality degree and extensive experience in catering and event management, gives her an advantageous eye for the details. Enjoying colors, fabrics, and florals, she is able to capture both the celebratory love shared at a wedding as well as the design and beauty surrounding the couple and their guests.

Having Kelsie as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding! Kelsie is fun, thoughtful, organized, flexible, and such a talented photographer. Her previous experience as an event planner shone through as she kept in touch and asked careful questions to get to know us and think through our vision. Covid got in the way of many of our plans and we had to reorganize our whole wedding just days out, but Kelsie’s eye for balancing big moments and small details really captured all the special parts of our day. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how our photos and wedding album turned out!
