“We have mixed feelings about our experience with Instant Request. Our experience working with the company, overall, was positive, but in retrospect, we wish we would have paid the additional cost to upgrade to a VIP DJ. That way, we could have requested our preferred DJ based on their reviews from other couples. A little over 2 weeks prior to our wedding, we were assigned our DJ and had our phone consultation with him. Our DJ was very kind, friendly, and asked us thoughtful questions about us and our wedding day, but we had multiple concerns, one of which being that he had never been to our wedding venue, especially since we were using the DJ services during the ceremony and reception, and also, we would be transitioning to a silent disco at the end of the night (as required by the venue). We could tell that our DJ really cared about our vision and logistics of the wedding day, however, our impression was that he had a reserved personality, and we requested an outgoing and energetic DJ on our preference form. Due to these concerns, I reached out to Instant Request and spoke with one of the staff, who reassured me that they would reach out to our DJ to discuss the layout and logistics of our venue with him. On the wedding day, our DJ was professional and everything went according to plan. We appreciated that he was intentional about asking each person that was giving a speech and bridal party member how to pronounce their name and facilitated the shoe game during our reception. Overall, we thought our DJ was very friendly and skilled, but would have preferred a DJ with more of an outgoing and upbeat personality. We would still hire Instant Request, but would have paid the additional cost to upgrade to a VIP DJ.”

“We had not one, but TWO other DJs cancel on us. We were getting deflated, frustrated, and losing money on DJs that would take our deposits and run. We even tried a "popular" service to find, it was a horrible match. The other, took outlr deposit and never spoke to us again. So for the 3rd try, (sadly shoulda went with them first) we called back these guys. We did check them out at first, but we're convinced cheaper was better. Nope. We learnt a lesson, a hard lesson. DJ Sound and Luke took us in battered, beaten, feeling defeated, and turned it all around. The planning with then made us feel at ease, and comfortable, and safe. They got our ides onto the forms, and the DJ was outstanding. It's like he knew our families and had the perfect songs picked and played. I'm not sure how they do it....but every time I reied to get off the dance floor, I had to turn around and gat back on because another awesome song was starting to play. Because I was on the dance floor all night with my friends, I missed some family connections, but I don't care, I'll see them at the holidays......it was MY night! DJ Sound taught me a few things. Patients, that great isn't cheap, and cheap isn't great, and that actually, they they were able to show my and my fiance love when we were beat down, hopeless, and discouraged. No jusgement from them, not even any talk about the other guys, they just hit the ground running. This company and all their employees are a blessing and we couldn't be more thank full. Highly recommend, but most of all, thank you for everything, it was an epic day.....just like you guaranteed!”

“Cole absolutely delighted and exceeded our wildest expectations at our wedding. He embraced the costume theme of our reception, performed significantly more music than we had expected (in a good way), and was the absolute heart and soul of our party. He improvised and adapted to every unique situation on the night with a musical and social sense of awareness that we continue to be grateful for. He even graciously agreed to play alongside Andrea's 94 year old grandmother on her accordion. Grandma is still beaming from this experience, and trust me, she's a hard woman to please. Seriously. “This as an excellent Jazz band. We had an outdoor wedding in August with a theme of a summer garden party. We wanted a live Jazz band to play 3 x 45 min sets and after finding Reception Jazz on line they seemed to be perfect. I had a couple of conversations with Scott in advance to discuss the details and became immediately aware that this band was going to be professional and easy to work with. We booked a 3 piece (Keys, Bass and Drums) and the week before the wedding we called and asked if they could also bring a Sax player (Which they did). Even that late change was no problem. We live streamed our wedding to several other countries as people couldn't travel with COVID-19 and some technical difficulties meant that the timing of the musical sets was disrupted. Scott and the guys were amazing and simply went with the flow. There is a lot to manage in a wedding but we didn't need to manage this band. They were perfect.”
