At 17, I thought I was the 2nd second coming of Jimi Hendrix. What I had was the personality and attributes to be the lead guitarist in a rock band and the ability to learn and memorize the music and play with conviction. What I lacked was the God-given gift of music. As a short biography, I took a few college courses and went to work in a warehouse after high school. In a kind of wayward state, I answered a classified ad for a photography assistant for Lawrence-James Studios.

Hey! I'm Katie- lover of cats, all things spooky, and unable to burp. (Yeah, you read that right, carry on.) ​When I was younger, my dad used to follow me around with an old camcorder (you know, one of those big ones with the VHS tapes in it) and narrate my little life. It’s so much fun to hook the camera up to the TV now and watch all those clips again. I’ve seen them so many times I can quote some of the things little me is saying in the videos.

I am a Pennsylvania native. My grandmother gave me my first camera for my 8th birthday. I grew up in Malvern and received my BA in Advertising from Penn State University (and briefly minored in Photography). After graduating I moved to Philadelphia and worked in advertising. My advertising career took me to sales and then into the logistics field. During this time I continued to enjoy photography as a hobby and as my skills improved I began freelancing for The Town Dish, Chester County Hospital, West Chester University, Weber Gallagher, and the West Chester Parks and Recreation Department.

I'm a wife, believer, teacher, and gardener, and I would say I'm crunchy(ish). You can often find me with a Starbucks refresher in hand or stuffing my face with pizza. Most days, I don't even bother wearing makeup and love to be outdoors getting my hands dirty or basking in the sun with a good book. Speaking of good books, one of my favorite spots to go is the library and when I'm not there, I love to roam around Terrain or a greenhouse.
