The Cheat Lake Fire Hall has proven to be the perfect reception location for many brides. The spacious hall can be set up to accommodate as many as 300 people. There is a full industrial kitchen, plenty of parking, several hotels near by for out of town guests, and we do not require you to use a specific caterer, bank, DJ, etc. Cheat Lake Event Hall is a great location for a wedding reception. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 135 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 260 guests.
