The Cheat Lake Fire Hall has proven to be the perfect reception location for many brides. The spacious hall can be set up to accommodate as many as 300 people. There is a full industrial kitchen, plenty of parking, several hotels near by for out of town guests, and we do not require you to use a specific caterer, bank, DJ, etc. Cheat Lake Event Hall is a great location for a wedding reception. At The Morris, you and up to 350 guests can celebrate together for an evening of fun and fine dining. When arriving at the venue, you will be greeted by the renovated first-floor foyer that has vintage and industrial decor details. Guests can make their way up to the third floor of the building on the restored 1955 Otis freight elevator. As the doors open, they are sure to be in awe at the property's interior as it boats original hemlock beams, maple hardwood floors and exposed brick.

The upper floor of the barn offers 3,500 square feet of event space that when combined with our patio tent, can accommodate up to 350 seated guests. For larger celebrations, parties can be split across the two-story barn and the patio can be converted to accommodate additional seating.
