A premier rustic venue space for your event. Originally the home of a functioning farm, the barn social has undergone a full renovation while maintaining the original rustic features. The barn features a chandelier in the main room that is constructed using old farming equipment, and the shiplap walls as well as the fireplace downstairs were both built using extra pieces of the original barn. These are just a few ways we have kept the original aesthetic of the space.

The Ellis House is a reimagined boutique Venue and Event space located in Fairmont, WV. Brides love this freedom because it means they have time to come decorate before the day of the wedding, and they don't have to end the party by a certain time! We make it simple, pick your date, pick your room, work with us on developing your menu and decide if you want to offer your guests items from the bar area. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 135 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 260 guests.
