Welcome. The Portofino Inn, as it was originally named, was opened in 1962 by racecar enthusiast Mary Davis. The inn drew thousands of visitors for a three-day welcome celebration for the King Harbor opening and soon became a hangout for racers including Peter Revson, an F1 Grand Prix Winner. The Cannonball Run, a car race from New York to Los Angeles turned feature film, was first run in 1971 with The Portofino Inn as the final destination.

Made by Meg is proud to continue the legacy of the historic La Venta Inn nestled in the hills of Palos Verdes Estates. La Venta Inn has enjoyed a full, rich history on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Nationally recognized as a California Point of Historical Interest, the Inn dates back to the early 1920’s, when a group of international businessmen set out to develop the ‘ideal residential community.’ The landmark ocean view estate is a beautifully restored 1920’s Spanish villa and used to entertain guests from the world over through exceptional weddings and events. Built in 1989, this unique design was a replication of a large ship. For years this was known as Paradise Restaurant, which had a huge following and known for its delicious food. After the original owner left, the restaurant changed many hands and was severely neglected. Taking over the huge task of restoring this building to its former glory took over a year and now will be the South Bay's newest premiere Wedding and Special Event Venue.
