South Coast Botanic Garden

Hand-crafted, wrought iron fence-work depicts rose emblems, rounded staircases gently welcome guests in, rich warm wood tones envelop architectural structures, a large fountain features an exquisite glass mosaic, and of course, colorful roses drip from every crevice. A grand guest entrance provides a magnificent overview of the formally planted space, allowing guests to catch a glimpse of the beautiful symmetrical design created by renown landscape architect, Deborah Richie-Bray, who is known for her work at the Getty Villa. This venue is perfect for afternoon tea, ceremonies, evening receptions, celebrations of life, birthdays and anniversary parties.

Situated at the highest elevation point on our 87-acre property, the Upper Meadow features sweeping views of the Garden’s mature forest tree line and a lush green carpet of grass underfoot. A lacy fairytale gazebo offers a sweet focal point for ceremonies, photo opportunities or even as a signature beverage bar. Two pergolas offer light shade for daytime activities. A white barn fence wraps the north portion of the lawn, providing a visual hint of the adjacent Rolling Hills Estates neighborhood and its signature equestrian charm.

Nooked alongside the quaint Children’s Discovery Garden, you will find the charming Lower Meadow. The intimate space provides lush green grass that is just begging for lawn games and mason jars filled with libations and shady trees that blossom with color during springtime. A rustic wooden gazebo offers an opportunity for event focal points, whether for a ceremony or as the center of a lavish buffet.
