The Cheat Lake Fire Hall has proven to be the perfect reception location for many brides. The spacious hall can be set up to accommodate as many as 300 people. There is a full industrial kitchen, plenty of parking, several hotels near by for out of town guests, and we do not require you to use a specific caterer, bank, DJ, etc. Cheat Lake Event Hall is a great location for a wedding reception. Winery owner Sharon Klay and her husband Dr. John Klay first developed an interest in winemaking while living in New York City in the 1970s. This interest led them to research and select the nearly 100 varieties of grapes that would be suitable for cool climate growing conditions.
