“I looked forward to every Tuesday night when my friends and I would gather at Brother Jimmy’s Murray Hill to watch The Barnstorm and dance until we couldn’t feel our feet. I knew in 2017 that one day I would get married and I wanted to recreate this wonderful feeling that I would get every Tuesday night. WELL, joke’s on me because I got that feeling and more. I do not even have words for the atmosphere that The Barnstorm created on our wedding day. Leading up to that day, Brooks was INCREDIBLY attentive to the hundreds of questions that I bombarded him with on a daily basis. He walked me through pricing, how the first dances would go, what kind of music gets played during dinner – every question came with an immediate follow up and a “how are you doing?” – completely above and beyond what a typical wedding band would provide. And that was before our wedding day even happened! The day of was indescribable. The atmosphere provided by The Barnstorm was absolutely electric and had every single person on the dance floor from 8 pm to 1130 pm. I genuinely feel like our wedding was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The band is absolutely magnetic. To top it off about one week after our wedding, as we were reliving the day, I get a text message from a friend saying “we booked your wedding band!”. They are THAT freaking good. His band Wild Faith played for my wedding reception just last weekend and they sounded great. When I first started talking with Leo about his availability he was prompt in his communication and also offered to learn new song material beyond his already extensive set list. This was what really made Leo an exceptional value to us. His offer of learning special songs for us, attention to detail, timeliness in communication as well as showing up on time at our cold and rainy outdoor ceremony site were what he delivered. His band sounded great and he also nailed everyone of our requested songs. In my opinion Leo and his band were ultimately a great fit for us. His value in comparison to other bands I spoke with was unsurpassed. It's a shame that far to often when the term wedding comes up in the hiring process, bands and other vendors seem to charge more for no other reason than the simple fact that they chose to do so.
