He made himself available for our new date and didn’t even change his rate (even though he very well could have and all our other vendors did). “We booked Collins Entertainment for our October wedding at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, CT. We had an unbelievably amazing experience with this company from the top to the bottom. Our DJ, Jared, was exceptional with music selection, a master emcee, was accommodating and seemed to be everywhere at once. My guests left saying he was the best DJ they've ever seen at a wedding for how many hits he put out. He was able to read the crowd really well, and knew how to get everyone on the dance floor. Jared had battery-powered setups for both the ceremony and reception, so we didn't have to worry about outlets in a remote area outdoors, which was very nice. Our planning sessions with Jim, Mitch, and Jared were comprehensive and they gave us all the tools we needed to succeed. The package price was very reasonable too, and was a leading factor for why we chose them as well. We used their mirror photo booth as well, which was very fun. “Justin was lovely to work with from the start. He was booked for another wedding, but he paired us up with Rob, an associate DJ of his. Both Rob and Justin were so so fun to work with. Rob took the time to text or set up whatever zoom calls we felt we needed. For the actual day, Rob was amazing. We had dinner service, reception, and "after party". Robs killed it with his flow between songs, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible if we had any requests in the moment, and was able to dodge or handle any "questionable" song requests that came his way. We were looking for a DJ who would be fun, roll with some interesting requests, and get the party going without *becoming* the party and he did all that and more. Brandon was really easy to plan with, had no problem splicing songs for our Mother-Son dance where my husband suddenly switched from a traditional waltz to the twist with his mom, and also deftly handled a table round-robin photo shoot that took far too long, a community Contra dance which included a 15 min instruction from a caller in advance, and so much more. Finally, I will say that he was also a consummate professional. He somehow managed to keep a smile on his face the entire evening despite the fact that we were late getting to the venue due to pictures and the onsite coordinator for the location asked him to have people seated and then 20 minutes later very rudely yelled at him for having our guests sit down after cocktail hour. I honestly think I was more incredulous at her behavior than he was, and I can’t thank him enough for approaching the situation with all the grace in the world. “Kelton was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He stuck with us even when we had to postpone our wedding for two years due to the pandemic, so we really appreciated his commitment to working with us.
