My Old Kentucky Barn is a new venue in an old tobacco barn. The 1800’s barn is situated on over 50 acres on Main Street in Williamstown, Kentucky. Our owner John grew up in Williamstown and, along with his brother Mike, spent a lot of time painting the white board fence and planting Canna bulbs in the spring. John is only the fourth owner of the property in 180 years. The Webb Family were the longest running owners. In fact, they donated land from the property to form Webb Park to the south. John and Edna Risen purchased the property in 1976 and sold it to John over 15 years ago. There is so much history here and we are excited that others can now enjoy the barn. Even though the outside of the barn looks new, all of the old detail is still there on the inside. We know that brides and grooms will make great memories here with their families. It will also be the perfect venue for milestone birthday parties, reunions and other memorable events.

Creating happiness runs in our family. Our ancestors established this property in 1826. We named our venue this because we treasure the history of this space, and know there were many long, happy marriages on this land. There are several natural backdrops from which to choose for your ceremony; a log barn built in the 1820s, under an oak tree that is almost 200 years old, next to the pond on the dock, or by the large barn with a few curious horses behind you. Then walk across the green grass to your celebration under a tent, with or without a dance floor, lighting, tables, chairs and linens of your choosing.

They made time to answer all of our questions and were incredibly accommodating by allowing us to take tours and re-visit as we started planning for our wedding. One of the biggest perks was having the venue for the entire weekend, which made setting up and enjoying our day that much easier. Everyone we've spoken to after the wedding have continued to say how beautiful the venue was and how it made for the absolute perfect wedding. Drumore Mill is a different world. It is nestled in a corner of the most rustic township in Amish Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1752 as a sawmill and a grist mill. It sits in a hollow with 30 acres of tall cliffs and old trees to provide privacy, warmth, and natural beauties. There is a pristine creek that meanders through the property. The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. The combination of rustic setting, natural beauties, and historical features makes Drumore Mill amazingly beautiful. One has to see it to believe it.

This National Register Historic Property was developed in 1856 offers a 1/2 mile frontage on the Hudson River with panoramic views of the Catskills. Imagine dancing the night away on the banks of the Hudson as the sun sets behind the Catskills. There is no other venue like this! Not only does our Summer and Fall rate include use of these riverside grounds but also the barn complex that the Livingston family erected. Spend your wedding day down by the river and use the barn complex for a welcome party. Our property can accommodate multiple events. We offer a discounted Spring Season the first Two weekends in May and a Regular season of Summer and Fall. Tours are given most days of the week and are by appointment only. For couples that live far away virtual tours via Facetime are offered, weather permitting. Virtual tours last as long a regular tour and therefore are also by appointment only. We spent 3 years on the road, living out of our car and exploring North America’s public lands and communities, stumbling upon spaces, places, and people who inspired us and ultimately sharpened the pencil that created Salted Roots. Seward won our hearts, with mountains, the ocean, and a national park right in our backyard. Alaska is wild - wild enough for us vagabonds to settle down roots… and then naturally the idea for Salted Roots sprouted. We bought the land in 2017, were married there shortly after, and began throwing together our future plans for the project with close friends. Our community helped us clear the land, build our website and make our vision a reality.

We are an upscale wedding venue with both inside and outside seating located directly on picturesque Lake Ontario with our 1600 square foot dock over it. The Barrack’s Inn stone center building was the first building built in the War of 1812 to be the bakery. It is on the historic national register. Inside we can seat 150 people, while outside we can seat an additional 100 people.
