He really wants to help you create a wedding that is special and meaningful to you - not a cookie-cutter wedding with package after package he's trying to upsell you on. We were delighted when Doug told us that his partner, Andrew, was moving back to the area and would be working with him at our wedding. Doug talked with us several times throughout our planning process to help us think through the reception - specifically the flow and the feeling of each moment. At our final detail meeting, Doug and Andrew helped us finalize and ramp up some ideas we had been working on (rating speeches using giant numbers that the bridal party held up, us-themed bar trivia during dinner, kiss cam instead of traditional glass-clinking kisses) and also gave us options to add on his Freedom Sticks (party lighting to help make the room/dance floor fun) and several Polaroid cameras and a book to store the pictures in. We took advantage of both and were so happy we did! On the day of the event, Doug took the role of MC and walking around the room to get pictures of people/get everyone involved and Andrew took on the role of primary DJ. Together, they were such a fun team that really brought the party to life! We had SO MANY compliments on how fun they were and I have recommended them to all of my friends with upcoming weddings!! They perfectly matched our vibe to the music and worked hard to make sure that everyone had a great time. “Overall music selection and sound was great, maybe a little too loud a some points but that may also be due to speaker placement. There was an issue with the DJ going to the wrong site initially. Our venue had 3 ceremony/reception sites, and he set up across the street at one of the other sites. This caused a delay in set up, but our coordinator and site manger were able to help him. I don’t think he verified with anyone when he arrived that he was at the correct wedding before setting up. Ceremony music sound was great. Microphones were provided which was great so everyone could hear us and our officiant”

“My wife and I were so fortunate to have picked DJ Torpedo & Co. for our May 2024 wedding in Georgetown. I feel music and the emcee often makes or breaks a great wedding, so I spent considerable time reviewing possible DJs to work with. We ended up going to DJ Addison, who at the time was considered a "first-year DJ." He exceeded all expectations. Addison was simply a treat to work with in the planning stages and was exceptionally on point and professional during the wedding day. He's funny but classy, professional but not uptight, willing to make on-the-fly changes, and kept the dance floor hopping during the reception. From his bridal party introductions to saying goodbye at the end of the night, he was simply great. Our wedding was moved inside at the last minute due to rain and he somehow relocated his setup on the fly and didn't complain or seem stressed during the chaos. DJ Torpedo offers a really wonderful music planning app that is easy to understand and pick your songs from ceremony to reception. The app has YouTube integration that allows you to easily assemble your playlists. He announced everything well, communicated with our wedding coordinator and the other vendors, played our requested song list, and consistently checked in on my (new!) husband and I throughout the evening to see if there was anything that he could help us with. On our song list, we noted that we didn't want any country music played (unless it was a specifically requested song), and when one of our guests asked him to play 'Cotton Eye Joe', Terrell even came up to me and asked me if it was okay because he wasn't sure if I considered that country music!
