Brick Farm Tavern

5.0

Hopewell, NJ
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive

The Brick Farm Tavern creates pasture-to-table dining in a way few have experienced before. Whether you’re coming for cocktails at our bar or a special dinner in the dining room, you will appreciate the importance we place on our farming and artisan community. The relationship with our partner farmers at Double Brook Farm in Hopewell is the cornerstone of our menu development. Additional proteins, vegetables and grains come from local area farms and specialty growers. Once here, guests will dine in the thoughtfully renovated original 1800’s farmhouse of the Double Brook land, which sits adjacent to the fields on which many of the animals have pastured. Events at Brick Farm Tavern are meant to highlight the best ingredients of our region with unique themes and experiences.

Why you'll love this venue

  • All-inclusive venue packages
  • Provides catering services
  • Rustic charm with elegance

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
Brick Farm Tavern wasn't the first venue we booked; we had a deposit on a vineyard barn in Vermont with promises of local farm-to-table fare & an indoor-outdoor experience. It all fell apart due to scheduling issues, but I can say with certainty that was for the absolute best. Brick Farm Tavern delivered on all the things we had hoped to find in Vermont, and then some. Most importantly, it was all-inclusive; we no longer had to pay per fork, per chair, per napkin for a luxe experience. If you have never been, go there for dinner, and you will see what I mean! We wanted guests to feel like they were being hosted at a high-end house party, and judging by the fact that we couldn't get anyone to leave, even hours after the bar went to cash (and then closed), I know it was a success. On Experience: Bolstered by lovely weather, we had full use of Brick Farm's grounds: patio seating, outdoor games, and later on, the firepit. Most of our guests chose to spend their time outside, but that didn't stop the dance floor from picking up steam! While finding space for a band might be difficult at the Tavern, we supplemented our DJ with two acoustical performers (see Justin Jones music!) that were even able to follow us outside during cocktail hour. They kept pace with the vibe of the evening, transitioning between acoustic guitar and dance music; the cozy size of the dance floor made it always feel full! The firepit outside allowed less rhythmically inclined guests to experience a different vibe, without being stuck staring at the dancers from their tables. Brick Farm even made s'mores kits for guests to enjoy! On Food: We knew the food was going to be good (it always is), but it was spectacular, personalized, and served with care. We chose not to assign seats because there were more guests than seats. No one seemed to mind, and unlike with a bad seating chart, no one complained either! Guests could wander up to food stations when they pleased, be served a meal of their choice (we even had vegan options!), and eat wherever they wished, either inside at the tables or outside on the patio. Plus, the servers were so attentive; they walked around, checking on us and our guests constantly! People often joke they don't get to eat at their own weddings; well I ate! The staff brought me hors d'oeuvres in between photographs, made me a plate from all the stations & set it with a paired wine from their reserve. The highlight of the reception for me was absconding the immaculately set wine cellar for dinner with my closest friends and family. It was so lovely I could cry. On Drink: Speaking of wine, the Tavern did not hold back on our open bar. For many of our friends and family, this was the highlight - the quality of the alcohol served was the same they would serve patrons of their restaurant. My uncle could not stop talking about being served Troon beer, and my bridesmaids loved the Lemon and Bees cocktail. I am underselling this, I think because I am not a drinker, but just trust me that no corners were cut by their bar staff. As an aside, I should mention that they also included a free valet service, so I had some peace of mind as the night came to a close. Brick Farm Tavern made our reception unique by tailoring the experience to us, and our guests as individuals, simultaneously. Everyone enjoyed themselves: introverts, extroverts, old and young - it sounds too good to be true, but I guess you just have to see it to believe it!

The Silo was a dream wedding venue! The high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, and amazing backlighting led to wonderful pictures. We had several guests comment on how beautiful the venue was. We utilized floating candles for our centerpieces which played amazingly with the added candles provided by the Farmhouse. The staff was attentive, helpful, and communicative. They paid attention to detail and were always available to put our minds at ease. We also rented the bridal suite and groom’s suite. Both suites were spacious, filled with entertainment, and included private bathrooms and mini fridges. There was plenty of space for my hair and makeup team.. We all had a wonderful time getting ready for the wedding. The food and chef were absolutely incredible. We were able to completely customize the menu by adding things like garlic mashed potatoes and chicken francese. What really stood out is that it felt like we were giving our guests a high end restaurant meal, rather than cookie cutter wedding food.

None of this could have been accomplished without them working together in the same manner. It was seamless. The wedding was an absolute dream! Everything was fantastic, everyone was really great to work with. They made everything so wonderful and so easy. At no point that day did I feel stressed or worried about anything going wrong, my husband and I felt we were in good hands the entire day. Everything flowed so smoothly, and the staff went above and beyond what we expected. For all his bristling, my dad had an amazing time and could not stop gushing about how professional and classy everyone was. Back when I booked, they told me, "Welcome to the Crystal Plaza family!" I used to think that was just a cutesy line, but after the way everyone treated us and handled that day, I get it. We felt they really did treat us like family, and it felt like everyone was not just happy to help but excited to celebrate with us, too. Due to some unforeseen global events (not the pandemic), our guest count ended up being notably below the minimum. The team worked with us to come up with a solution, and on the day of the wedding, they surprised us by upgrading the dessert: they made the whole cocktail room into huge Viennese dessert stations. Everyone was completely floored; it was like nothing anyone had ever seen before. My goal was to have a wedding no one would ever forget, and we met that goal 100%. I wish weddings were the type of event one could do multiple times because we would absolutely come back again and again.

We got married at The Mansion on Aug 10th and there are insufficient characters in this review box to capture our gratitude for what an impeccable place this was to get married. We initially chose the venue for ease of the location (we live a few blocks away). I hoped the food would be good, since we couldn't do a tasting, and just trusted it would all work out. THESE PEOPLE BLEW ME AWAY. The staff is awesome, from the Matre D, to the Bridal Attendant, to all the ways Jim and Nancy helped us tend to ever detail of the event, it was the most perfect day. The food was so delicious. Our guests are still talking to us about it weeks later. The cocktail hour was incredible. The main course was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my life. Everything was so fresh, and so delicious. My only regret of my wedding was that I didn't eat more than just a few bites of everything. I woke up the next morning craving the rest of my filet mignon, lol. We went with the "minimum" of everything included because we were on a budget, but it was all so abundant, generous and tasty. Even the dessert platters that came with the meal were amazingly delicious. The space itself is luxurious and beautiful. We had the whole venue to ourselves and the whole thing was just magical.

The Logan Inn is the perfect venue for a bride who likes tradition, glam, and a little bit of modern. I walked into the Logan the summer of 2022 on my venue search. I met Maggie Smith, the general manager, who walked my mom, MOH, and me through the space. I loved the buzz of the restaurant, the cozy spaces, and the mix of the old and new. The space truly speaks for itself and I dove headfirst in the old Hollywood glam aesthetic if gave off. The space was 50% of reason I chose the Logan Inn. The other half was Maggie. She is knowledgeable, energetic, and a calming spirit. The perfect person to have on your wedding day. The Logan staff is full of rockstars. From the fun tasting event to the last song, they give their all to make the day so special. Its a whirlwind of a day but I felt the staff wanted to make me happy the whole day and their amazing energy certainly was bouncing off the walls in the reception. Other Notables: Amazing photo locations: Main Street New Hope, the canal, the inn itself (old entry ways, wine cellar, balconies, whiskey bar) - With the open restaurant it was fun having patrons cheer us on for our first look (took a bit of the nerves away) - Rock Room Cellar - Amazing Cocktail Hour Location - Great Rehearsal Dinner locations in the area. - Plenty for out of towners to do as well as hotels and air bnbs to stay in - Easy to get to (we had a lot of family and friend from New England and New York and found it a breeze to get to) - After Party fun and Havana’s down the street.

We loved our wedding at Snug Harbor. Josephine & Jessica were thorough and very professional taking away a lot of the stress and anxiety that comes with a wedding day. We had two in person meetings, one in the beginning and one shortly before the wedding, and constant email contact. They made sure to have every single detail that was needed for the big day. We ran into 0 problems the day of the wedding (not that we know of at least, which is even nicer) thanks to them. Our bridal attendant the day of, Alva, was an angel. She helped me cheer up about the rain “ruining” the day. She was incredibly helpful when we were getting our pictures done making sure to have umbrellas for us and helping me hold my dress to make sure it didn’t get wet or dirty. The day went smoothly with little worry on our end thanks to the team at Snug Harbor. I would talk more on the grounds but I feel like that beauty speaks for itself.

Megan, the director, is an absolutely dream to work with. quick responses, explains everything clearly, a sweetheart. Hotel is super clean, the food is amazing and the staff were lovely. The Maitre De went missing a lot throughout the day, to the point where my uncle had to find her whenever i needed. They set up & cleaned everything up for us which was lovely. the hotel bar stayed open late (sunday wedding) but you couldn’t make it private. so you had people at the bar trying to add to an open tab. you get a room block, the director of rooms Rebecca is very easy to work with as well. the outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous!!! My husband and I got married at the CKE this October 2024. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to their entire team for all of their hard work to make our visions and dreams come to life. Each and every staff member was kind, and helpful. If you had a question you’d get a response promptly and always with a “let’s see what we can do attitude”. Katherine (the owner) made you feel a part of the CKE family and always was looking to make the planning process seamless and easy for us and our family. The CKE floral and design team made our big ideas all come to life- we had a visions of big branching centerpieces with florals tucked in, that Jess and her team absolutely delivered on. On top of that, we asked for an installation over our sweetheart table. Jess and her team have many suggestions and shared they visited Home Depot at least 3 times to see how it would hang, and the final installation beyond exceeded our expectations. The talent and grace their team exudes is what ever bride and groom look for in a team. The planning process was also so seamless due to their amazing coordinator team. We worked with Katrina, the kindest, most professional coordinator we have ever met. Katrina was available at every step of the planning process, providing thoughtful recommendations due to her very obvious experience. Katrina also was there for our wedding day of helping to manage the schedule, set up, constantly checking in, and making sure it all went according to plan (which it did). In addition during the reception Katrina was checking with us throughout the night to see if we wanted to pivot anything or if we needed anything. We are extremely grateful for her support! In addition, Kyle was our maitre d’ for the evening and he did an absolutely wonderful job. He made sure to check in with my husband and I as well as our immediate family members. He was so kind and professional! Lastly but very importantly- the food and drinks! Most of all of our guests shared that this was the best wedding food they have ever had. It is no small feat cooking for large groups and every aspect of the food from the cocktail hour to the dinner course was absolutely fantastic. These are a few quotes from guests: - “The food was gourmet.” - “This is the real deal.” - “The sushi… Oh, the sushi! So fresh!” In addition, the bartenders crushed it! Everyone was impressed by the quality of the drinks and we never had a line at the bar- they were fast and catered to our guests. I would highly recommend the CKE to future couples getting married. The aspect of the family business really shows and ensures you have a tailored experience for your wedding. The entire staff is kind and down to earth- always willing to help. We wish them nothing but the best for their future wedding seasons!

The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. A big thank you to Elena and the rest of the Purslane team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

One if By Land, Two if By Sea is a venue which is near and dear to my heart, not only is it rich in history and well respected as one of the most elegant, romantic venues in NYC it is also now owned and operated by my favorite Catering company, Masterpiece Catering. As a wedding photographer, I have worked with Masterpiece on countless events over the past 10 years, all of which have been amazing experiences. We have been fortunate to capture a beautiful wedding in One if By Land, Two if By Sea and also photographed their menu and interior shots. We look forward to many more beautiful shoots and experiences at this iconic NYC landmark.

  • Combines timeless elegance with history

Venue considerations

  • Requires outside catering services
  • Does not provide event staff
  • Lighting and sound are not included
We got married at the Picnic House in April 2024 and had a great experience! It's a beautiful space that you can do a lot with. We really appreciated both having both the flexibility of choosing amongst a variety of vendors, as well as the assurance that given their experience with the venue that they'd be easy to work with day of (which was true- we had a very smooth wedding day!). We really appreciated working with Caity, who was very responsive over email and quick to pick up the phone. Our only struggle was in acquiring our parking passes (that was really the mail's fault) and in getting some answers early on regarding external alcohol policies. And I would say be very careful in selecting your caterer, since they'll make or break your experience. But overall I would absolutely recommend the Picnic House to anyone! The price really can't be beat for what you're getting.

I always love working with the crew at Sterling Ballroom at Double Tree. As a photographer, getting to see how the staff interacts with each other and vendors like me when the client isn’t looking speaks volumes about their management team and the overall vibe they bring to the table. You can tell they really care about the client’s experience and want to do their part to make everyone’s day special. That’s a rare quality.

My husband and I had a wonderful intimate wedding at Maison May. Their staff throughout our booking process was super communicative and easy to work with. They have food and drink on site and packages to suit a variety of occasions. Both the food and the drinks were DELICIOUS. We had a very minimal DIY wedding; the space at Maison May is beautiful and blank to allow your imagination and dreams to come to life. There is a French kitchen aesthetic downstairs and a modern upstairs. We wouldn't change anything about our day and had a fantastic experience with Maison May, I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couples looking for an intimate space with AMAZING food.

Last month we hosted our 125 person wedding at the Wythe Hotel in our local Brooklyn. We could not have asked for a more beautiful city venue or a more helpful team. Our sales director JD and our event coordinator Cassie are such pros-- both veterans of the NYC wedding industry-- and they helped make the day a real breeze. At the Wythe you really get what you pay for. We had a Saturday "off-season" wedding so the F&B minimums were high but easily met with our guest count. Our 395 a head included a premium open bar, multiple signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a market station, a plated family style meal, coffee service, a wedding cake, all hospitality staff, coat check, A/V team, and hotel discounts. If we hadn't wanted to add extra florals and decor, the space truly would've been gorgeous bare. The Wythe team helped us manage the rest of our vendors and recommended some if we needed. We stayed onsite in one of their giant suites, which was perfect for getting ready and for first look photos. Cannot recommend this vendor enough!!

I'm going to start by saying we are floral designers who have been in the industry for 13 years combined. We have worked alongside some of the best industry professionals in the area and Avery and the Johnson's Locust Hall Team are by far the best! Our wedding was perfect. But more importantly, the attention and care leading up to the day from Avery is what truly made the experience special and quite frankly emotional. We just went back to the venue to pick pumpkins and are still reveling in the emotions of the day. Such a sweet family and location. Our guests had such a wonderful time each space we entered. I could go on and on about how perfect every detail was but instead i'll just say book this venue for your wedding or event, you will have such heart filled memories the rest of your life. Thank you Avery, Allie and the entire staff for giving us the best day of our lives!
