We started the Chestnut Grove Event and Wedding Center in pastoral Brownsville California with the goal of providing premium service. We want to help happy couples begin their lives together in a beautiful outdoor setting, rich with the history of Northern California’s gold rush. The site here was first peopled by the Maidu. Evidence of their presence can be viewed near the seasonal stream, where grinding rocks tell of food preparation. Our goal is to provide the best event we can to each client. In 1994, Just Dance Ballroom began its operation near Downtown Oakland with the vision to spread the love of dance to many and all. Over the decade, the Just Dance Ballroom family grew bigger, and thus, the dream to relocate to a grand space came to fruition on September 16, 2006. Our 3000 square foot space is located in the historic Cotton Mill district of Oakland. Just off the 880 freeway, Flowhouse is located just east of Brooklyn Basin and directly opposite the Embarcadero Cove pier. We have two beautiful dance studios that can be used for dancing as well as dinner set up. One studio can also be used as dressing room area. We also have a beautiful living room and lobby area that can be used for a buffet set up, receiving area, and cocktail area.

Hi, my name is Iso, one of the founders of Forage Kitchen. Since 2017, our mission has been to support Oakland entrepreneurs by providing kitchen space, promotional help, and event organization. To support that mission, we rent our space throughout the year for weddings, corporate events, and parties of all kinds. Our space offers a full commercial kitchen, great outdoor space with overhead lighting, and most importantly, a fully stocked bar! With seating capacity for 160 and standing room for 230, it’s great for events of all kinds, and live music is always welcome!
