Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. “We first met Steven touring a different venue than what we booked and quickly got to talking about what we envisioned for our big day. We chatted about his DJ services and he never once pressured us to book him, he was giving us ideas as a genuine human being. A few months passed and Steven reached out seeing if we were still in need of a DJ for our wedding. Once we got our venue booked, we couldn’t say no to Steven. He was awesome from the day we met. He sent us a detailed planner to fill out for song choices, must play list, do not play list, etc. The whole process working with Steven was a breeze. He was SO patient with us as we changed our minds on songs, even after the planner was due. He is very reasonably priced compared to other DJ companies in the Milwaukee area. We only booked him for ceremony and reception music, but he has a TON of different things you can add on which is awesome (photobooth, uplighting, and so much more). The day of our wedding he was on time and extremely professional. Our ceremony music was perfectly timed. He kept our guests on the dance floor and played music on our must play list. He had fun transitions from song to song. He was dancing behind the DJ booth which every single guest enjoyed. He even danced with me for a song which was so fun! My guests commented on him throughout the whole night how awesome and fun he was (two weeks later and they’re still talking about how amazing he was)! I didn’t hire a day of coordinator and he took on the responsibility of releasing tables and so much more. I wanted multiple group photos of us with all our guests by family and friend group and Steven was great at announcing each group to make that happen. 10/10 would recommend Carter Events and Entertainment with Steven for your wedding day! By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.

“Soundfire DJ did an exceptional job with our wedding on July 11, 2020 in Door County. The detail and hard work that was put into our ceremony and reception was really what put SFDJ above any other wedding DJ I have experienced. Shawn was excellent with talking to our guests and staying open to schedule changes throughout the night. He kept in contact with me throughout the entire wedding and was super fun and brought a great energy! Tyler’s music was amazing. I loved that he fused a bunch of songs that we requested together to make it more fun. He read the room and would play slow songs or fast songs at perfect times. Requests were always granted and they had an awesome selection of songs available. I loved that we were able to make playlists beforehand with their easy-to-use website. I also appreciated that we would get monthly emails with general wedding reminders of what is typically done that month during wedding planning. That was super helpful for myself who did not hire a wedding planner and had zero experience with planning events. SFDJ truly helped make our special day absolutely perfect, regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
