This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. Initially built in the 1900s as a double storefront, it transformed throughout the century into a department store, political office, coffee shop, and now an event space. 223 Main is owned and operated by a local Lemont couple, Hector and Lauren Tamayo. Hector grew up in Lemont and always loved the downtown area. At the beginning of 2020, the coffee shop leasing the space decided to close down. While brainstorming what the building could be next, the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. Lauren and Hector decided to cancel their destination wedding and remodel 223 Main. After having their intimate wedding at the building, they decided to officially launch 223 Main and open the space up to the community to enjoy.

We are the The Fraternal Order of Eagles #1047, also known as the Eagles Club. We are located very close to the I90 expressway at the Randall Rd. exit and we are close to hotels that can accommodate your out of town guests. We have 2 rooms available. Our smaller “Aerie” room is located in our lower level and can accommodate 54-60 guests. This is perfect for smaller gatherings, birthdays, bridal and baby showers. Our larger room is upstairs. Both are handicapped accessible and have an elevator available. We have a perfect spot not only for weddings but for other events that like to put their special touch into our space with some DIY.
