“Having Funk Almighty at our wedding last year was both the cake and icing on top! It’s not just the usual band experience because on top of the great music some of the band stepped onto the dance floor with us, and that just blew our guests away! They danced and sang with us and our guests, bringing an amazing energy that was both intimate and exhilarating for us!! They even did a dance routine that all our guests caught on too and before we knew it everyone was doing the same dance. “We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. He was available for questions at any point in time and was always prompt in responding! He is VERY knowledgeable and was able to assist in creating our reception timeline as well. He was so easy to work with and always made us feel like we had nothing to worry about. The day of he was very professional with all guests and people never left the dance floor. He was very good at reading a crowd. He even listened to my Maid of honor's speech and played a song she mentioned that we didn't even originally request which we thought was a great touch! “Collin and his team at Sound Love were excellent to work with! Collin incorporates helpful tools to guide the planning of the music and schedule for the reception. We were able to use his app easily to think through what we wanted the night to feel and sound like. The app included useful spotify playlists to help us decide what types of songs we might want to consider for the big moments throughout the evening (entrance song, first dance, parent dance, etc.) We were able to work with him to customize how long we wanted certain songs to be as well. We could tell from the start that Collin wanted to make sure to do everything possible to make our night what we wanted it to be and he succeeded! He got people up and dancing and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to Collin and his team for everything! We highly recommend them.”

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
