Woodland Floral Design Co.

5.0

Biglerville, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

We had a blast working with Misha. Her florals that she executed were phenomenal and even beyond our own expectations. She is very down to earth and was the easiest and my favorite vendor to work with. Echoing what others have mentioned, her signature look is lush, full florals and I feel that her florals are exceptionally full compared to other florists we had initially looked at. If you want florals to be the centerpiece of your event, Misha is your florist! She was always accessible, dependable and great to bounce ideas off of. We provided a color palette to her and the overall vibes and trusted in her creativity and it turned out amazing. It was a very non-stressful experience leaving the florals up to her. We would highly recommend her without any hesitations. A dependable, responsive, artistic vendor but most importantly, a kind, genuine and warm individual!

    Something Borrowed Blooms

    4.9

    Lafayette, LA
    • Starts at $250

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

The process of using something borrowed blooms was so easy. I loved that the flowers could be reused and that I wasn't going to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would just be thrown away! They included the return label in the box with the flowers they shipped out, which was great because we did not have a printer at our destination wedding. All of our flowers were fake because I was also worried about the heat wilting our flowers. I only rented bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and a dog collar- but I wish I had rented my centerpieces as well! Amazing experience with SBB all around!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    4.8

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!

    Fountainhead Floral Design

    5.0

    Milford, CT
    • Starts at $3,000
    • Offer

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

    Awarded Best of Zola
When I first saw my wedding bouquet I was speechless! It was nothing like any other bouquet I had seen in the absolute best way! The flowers were gorgeous, vibrant, and truly unique, just like I wanted! Kate has such a keen ability to take inspiration photos, run with them, and create something incredibly gorgeous and in line with my vision. The florals she designed brought a lovely pop of color to our reception and pulled the natural look from the landscape into the space exactly like I envisioned. From little details like "snap-bracelet" corsages for the moms to a color-coordinating ribbon on the boutonnieres, Kate totally knocked it out of the park!

Brittany did an amazing job with our wedding flowers! During our first phonecall, I told her I was aiming for a fairy garden vibe, and I described the color palette. And as soon as she sent me her proposal a few days later, I knew she was the right fit for us! She really understood exactly what I was envisioning, and she came up with a few different options. Communication was also easy. Brittany is responsive and I felt confident that we had all our bases covered and every detail was well planned. On our wedding day, the flowers were simply stunning! Brittany delivered and set everything up, and everything was just like in the proposal we had discussed. She was even able to repurpose the floral arch after the ceremony, and move it to the reception hall. I had spoken to a few other florists, and none of them were prepared to do that, so the fact that Brittany made it possible was a huge deal to me! The entire experience was just perfect. If your wedding flowers are a priority for you, she will make the magic happen!

Nicole is a creative floral mastermind! I had been following Averi K Designs on Instagram for a long time and was obsessed with her moody, romantic, beautiful one of a kind arrangements.  I knew that I wanted her to be my florist, and she was the first vendor I booked for my wedding! I fell in love with her photos from styled shoots, weddings and just because posts so I knew that my flowers would be incredible but I was left speechless in awe of their beauty!  She was so flexible with additions, table number changes and special requests such as cake flowers during the final week.   My flowers were so romantic, elegant with rich colors that we had spoken about on a zoom call over a year prior while I was stuck in Guam.  She kept in constant communication if I had any concerns or if there were alternates to flowers available.  She took some of the cutest videos making my flower arrangements at my venue.  I really loved seeing the process, I knew it was an art but WOW. Its now six days later and I have several arrangements still displayed in my home that are radiant.  My favorite of all is my bouquet and the florals she decorated the 500 year oak that we were married under at Circle Oak Ranch.  I loved my experience working with Averi K Designs and would love to have her creations again in the future at my events! If you want the most beautiful, romantic, colorful flowers that will make your day/event memorable forever - look no further!!! Her talent is endless, let her make your dreams come true!

      Merkels Floral Studio

      5.0

      Mentor, OH
      • Starts at $10,000

Founded in 1940, when we say we have decades of experience, we really mean it. Since then our love for flowers and our team has only grown. Day to day you can catch us designing floral arrangements and delivering them by the truck full. We source locally whenever possible (of course). We especially love weddings and just adore our brides. Aside from that, we are probably spending any other spare time cheering on fellow entrepreneurs and our favorite vendors of this industry. We love to pour back into our city by supporting local events, schools, and the animal shelter. And we could go on of course, but there is a word limit :)

      Awarded Best of Zola
When I first got engaged I knew immediately that I wanted Kristin and her team at Merkels to be our florist. Kristin's attention to detail, willingness to try anything, and overall easy-going personality made the entire planning process with her so smooth. When we sat down to discuss the vision I had for my wedding I told her I was thinking blues, purples, whites, and I wanted the entire place to give off a coastal Italian vibe - which I was positive made no sense, but Kristin was the biggest yes-woman. She immediately understood what I wanted and was so helpful when sitting down to discuss what I was thinking for the wedding. On top of this, she was incredibly conscious of our budget and worked with me to make sure I got everything I wanted within my price range! Another thing I never got to compliment on was her memory & attention to details; I had asked for Dahlias and Peonies in my bouquet if possible - knowing it was probably not going to happen as they weren't in season ... BUT SHE GOT THEM which I did not expect at all. From our altar and signage, to the centerpieces and bouquets, Kristin and her team exceeded my expectations by 1000%. I would not change a single thing. Kristin, we love you so much, and cannot thank you enough!

From the initial phone conversation, she made sure to listen to what we wanted and came back with recommendations that really brought it to life. She ensured that we stayed within the budget parameters we set by providing various options of things we could do but, making sure everything was still of the highest quality. She even worked with our schedule to come meet us at the venue with samples to finalize all the details. A few days before the wedding we ran into a small issue around the Chuppah structure we chose and she made sure to call us right away to explain the situation, and came up with alternative solutions that did not require any additional charge. The finished product was beautiful. I’m still getting compliments on my flower arrangements a month later!! If you work with Sonya and her team, you won’t be sorry!

We were so excited when we entered the reception area to beautiful bud vases and cozy light from candles along the tables. It set a lovely atmosphere for our dinner. Emily was very responsive throughout the process which helped us feel really confident leading up the wedding. She also brought such quality florals/greenery and had the best pricing we found through a thorough vendor search. We can’t say enough good things about working with her and would definitely recommend to other couples!

Jess made my absolute dream wedding florals come true! After our initial consult, she sent me a beautifully pieced together PDF of her ideas/vision for the florals which must have taken her so much time. We discussed any changes, and then signed the contract. She was extremely responsive, flexible, and understanding throughout the entire wedding process which made my life as a bride so much easier. On the day of the wedding, she was there early and had her set-up process down to a schedule. I have to say, the florals were absolutely stunning and had my guests asking for the name of my florist. I feel that her work was truly worth more than what I paid for and I appreciate everything that she did so much. I don't know how to give more than 5 stars but I would if I could!

Danielle was so easy to chat with along our planning journey and took the time to create the perfect floral game plan for our special day. She was patient and flexible as our plans evolved, took our floral inspiration and put an even more gorgeous spin on it, and brought so much life and magic to our wedding space. It truly felt like we were planning with our best friend who was honest about what would work/what wouldn't look so great while helping us stay within budget and maximize the look and feel of our florals. We hired DB Creativity to be our full planner and to do the floral for our wedding. My wife and I were extremely pleased by the level of professionalism, service, and accessibility. Dana and her team were ALWAYS available to answer questions by phone and by email. We did a backyard wedding at our home - Dana really made my wife's vision into a reality. The day of the wedding we both agreed we could not have imagined our backyard looking the way it did. It was truly amazing. And on the day of - Dana took care of everything. Amanda and I were able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our special day without worrying. The day went off without a hitch. We could not recommend Dana and her team more highly.

Rita's Roses was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding flowers. From our first conversation, Cassidy and her team were incredibly kind, helpful and suggestive in designing the perfect floral arrangements for our special day. The centerpieces were truly a highlight of our reception - Cassidy's creative suggestion to mix different styles of compote and other arrangements brought an incredible dimension to the ballroom. The neutral colors with touches of blue perfectly captured our vision and added a romantic ambiance. Even though we hadn't initially planned to prioritize flowers, Rita's Roses made it easy for us to see how essential they are in creating the atmosphere we wanted. First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.

I texted Laura the day of my wedding because I felt like she needed to know my first tears were shed when I saw my bouquet. Words cannot describe how perfect it was. Laura took everything me and my partner asked for and ran with it. Florals were a very big piece of our wedding and I really feel like we asked the perfect person to bring them to life. Not only were the florals perfect but my mom stopped me the day after my wedding just to tell me she ran into Laura and she was "just so kind". 100/10 would recommend hiring her for your wedding.

Julian FAR exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, they hit the proposal out of the park, perfectly nailing our vision for the big day in a clean and clear format. Julian was super responsive to our emails, which was reassuring living on the west coast and traveling to RI for the wedding. The price was super reasonable, and Julian lined up a rental for the floral stands we needed for the ceremony, which was so helpful not being local. And on the big day. Holy smokes, my bridal bouquet was everything I dreamed of and more!! Our wedding day was super hot, and Julian did everything in their power to keep the flowers looking fresh, even tweaking the bouquet and boutonnière as the day went on to remove some of the pieces that wilted. The ceremony flowers ended up a little wilted, but that was out of Julian’s control. If you’re looking for a florist, look no further. Julian was made for this job!

Loved working with Isabel. She had great suggestions for us when we came in with a vague vision, and stayed super-flexible and kind through every stage of the planning and execution, even helping fashion a last-minute unplanned corsage just before the aisle walk. She helped connect us with a flower recycling service as well, in response to my wish for a sustainable event. The end result was lovely. Couldn't have asked for better than Isabel!

          About wedding florists

How much do wedding bouquets cost?

Wedding bouquets vary in cost by bouquet size, quantity and density of blooms, season, and flower type. Your wedding location and cost of living will also have an impact. In general, you can expect to pay $200–$400 for a larger main bouquet, and $100–$250 for smaller wedding party bouquets. Communicate openly with your florist about your budget and vision—colors and inspirational photos are often more helpful to your florist than specific types of flowers.

How can we save money on our wedding flowers?

Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. Talk openly with your florist about the look you want to achieve, rather than specific flowers you want. They can suggest flower species and options to make your vision happen in a way that fits your budget.
