Chassey was awesome!! She was very kind and sweet. My husband and I booked the venue/pavilion 21 months prior to wedding date sight unseen based off her personality, customer service, pictures, cost and the fact that I wanted a beach wedding in Ohio. The months and days before the wedding, if we had any questions, comments or concerns, she responded in a reasonable amount of time. We went to visit the venue a year before the actual wedding (5/27/2024) so that we could get a visual of the area. The day of the wedding, Chassey and her team were very helpful, kind and courteous to myself, family, and friends. They helped us decorate the venue although we brought our own decorations. Everything was beautiful and ready before the start of the wedding. They made us feel very comfortable. They went above and beyond our expectations. We (family and friends included) will definitely be back to visit for vacation.

I cannot think of a nicer and more private venue I had visited before deciding to do my reception here. So big a place for guests to roam. Neat buildings with interesting history. Really diverse property that just makes it an intriguing place to be.

Our wedding turned out to be everything we dreamed of and more! Mary and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond to help us make our day special. The hall and outdoor space were perfect. The park is lovely and offers so many possibilities for ceremonies. Our gazebo ceremony though was really the fairytale wedding that I have always dreamed of. The food was also fantastic, our guests went on and on about it even after the wedding. We can not thank Mary and the staff enough for everything they did to make our dreams come true.

The Hotel at Oberlin ended up being the perfect place for our wedding. The location is close to pretty much anything you'll need for a wedding weekend. It's within a 1 minute walk to a variety of potential photograph locations (e.g. Hall Auditorium, Tappan Square...) as well as business (e.g. salons, restaurants, cafes) that can help your wedding day go smoothly. There are also a variety of potential ceremony locations within walking distance. We chose the Apollo Theater across the street. The team at the hotel, especially Lauren, was responsive and helpful every step of the way. The chef and Lauren worked together to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and requests (e.g. extra entree option, catered lunch and snacks...). They were also helpful with managing the linen rentals, room design, and room block reservations. Guests were charmed by Oberlin and gave us feedback that they enjoyed being able to slow and down and enjoy small town life during the weekend. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on June 24, 2023. We were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating all of the staff was during our wedding day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the food was delicious and how they loved talking to our bartenders. The venue also accommodated some of our guest's dietary restrictions and our bar menu. We planned our event with Debbie. She was helpful and organized. She couldn't make it on our special day, so Nancy filled in during our rehearsal and wedding day. Nancy was also very helpful, accommodating, and kind. The ceremony space was beautiful! It included an arch with white flowers and greenery draped over it. Our only complaint was how hot the reception hall was. Some of the guests said they were comfortable with the temperature. It was a very hot and humid day outside. The building is a little bit older so it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Overall, the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our package included two entrees at the buffet, a wedding cake, table linens, and bar. The price was perfect for everything included in our package. The location is close to the airport and great for having a ceremony/reception at the same venue. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

The Boltes, who own and operate Arlington Acres, are phenomenal to work with. We can’t say enough good about our experience. Not only is their venue STUNNING, but it boasts an exceptional rain plan that allows you to leave your reception space untouched and still have plenty of room for guests to mingle for cocktail hour. Arlington Acres has two beautiful suites for the bridal party to get ready in, two equally gorgeous areas to host reception events, and a naturally beautiful outdoor ceremony space. Not to mention, there are so many great locations for photos that your photographer will love! Arlington Acres provides monthly open houses for booked couples so that you can do walk throughs with family, friends, and vendors, test decor, practice walk throughs, ask questions, and even do photo sessions. Sarah even went as far as to help us schedule a private time to do our engagement shoot on their property. We also booked majority of our vendors through the recommendations made by Arlington Acres. They have built an incredibly helpful website with all kinds of tips, suggestions, and measurement info. for their spaces. We booked Arlington Acres for both the Friday before our wedding and the full day of our wedding, Saturday. This gave us an additional day for set-up and we held our rehearsal dinner at the venue Friday evening. We looked at 5 venues with Arlington Acres being the first and nothing compared to the venue itself, or the hospitality and kindness shown by the Boltes. They are as invested in making sure your special day is flawless, as you are. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful their space and property are, and they loved the photo opportunities their sunflower patch (seasonal) brought to our day. If you’re questioning booking with Arlington Acres, just do it. You won’t regret it and you’ll love working with Sarah and her husband! If we had to do it over again, we would without a doubt still choose Arlington Acres!

Our wedding was on March 23,2024. Waterview Loft was the perfect setting with beautiful view of sunset then night lights of the river and Windsor. Our guests were very impressed with the venue, service and food. Lizzie and her team were easy to work with and kept us organized. Kristen and Jed our day of coordinators were invaluable! Our wine glasses were always full, we were on time for our evening agenda and we also got a take home bag with dinner, cake and lovely card. You won’t be disappointed with the team and location. Highly recommend!!

We had the most perfect day and the venue was gorgeous. But there were a few hiccups. Be mindful that in the pictures you see there is up-lighting and chairs from an outside company. I did bring both of these things in. The guest rooms are beautiful and the staff at the hotel is very accommodating, friendly and easy to work with. As far as planning goes. If you are not organized, I would recommend a wedding planner. The coordinator is a nice woman but communication is lacking. I was suppose to have a conference room set up the morning of the wedding and no one at the hotel new what was going on, so we were calling staff and the coordinator at 7 am in the morning for the hair and makeup arrival. Make sure you have a list of all the things you want to see if they are available to you. I've never planned a large party so I didn't know what I didn't know until it was too late. I did not experience, but some of my guests waited over 45 minutes for valet and were told they could wait, drive around or park themselves "it wasn't the valet problem." They did not want to miss the ceremony so were forced to park at a higher cost in an off lot. ((I found this embarrassing to myself and the venue because I only told guests to valet)). The coordinator spoke to the Valet manager and I felt the response was very cold. This is a costly venue and the guests should be treated with more respect. I did also sign a contract for my Marriot Bonvoy numbers and the points are suppose to accumulate 10 days after your event, I have not received anything and had to reach out to the billing department for a final bill. These issues are minor compared to the fun we had, amazing food and great day overall. Just be on top of your game when you are planning.

The Whiskey Factory’s partnership with Two Unique makes catering and rentals so easy and not at all overwhelming. We worked extensively with Amelia throughout the planning process who was always so sweet, professional, and happy to answer my countless questions in the months leading up to our wedding day. Their checklists leading up to the wedding took off a lot of stress and put me at ease that I was not forgetting anything. The cocktail tasting was SO fun, and one of our favorite parts of the planning process! Fast forward to wedding day–our wedding could not have gone more perfectly! We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue, and their room flip process was so seamless for our guests! The Whiskey Factory’s bar tenders are quick and personable, and our guests loved that they never had to wait for a drink. We also purchased an empty barrel for our guests to sign, which has become an awesome addition to our basement bar! Our guests raved about how good the specialty cocktails, beer, and other drinks were, and how cool and unique the venue was. We knew we were going to need a large space with our guest count but there was zero compromise on intimacy along with attention to detail at the Masonic. They offer several customizable options for bridal/ groom suites, catering, cocktail hour, and reception. The main ballroom looked stunning especially the two main chandeliers. Although the packages/ guidelines seemed rigid, we were eventually able to get most of the results we were looking for through some tinkering and back and forth correspondence. We were very impressed by the catering and waitstaff as the food received several compliments throughout the night. The only complaints on our end would be the temperature regulation of the main ballroom, which I'm sure comes with the building being older, and some areas of “hospitality”. There were a lot of things that were agreed upon in person but when it came time to be put into writing, those conversations were either misunderstood or backtracked. As I mentioned before, we eventually got to the result we were looking for but often received some resistance upfront.

My husband and I did an elopement but still wanted to have a big reception to celebrate; not many venues were willing or able to accommodate our non-traditional wishes however this did not stop the staff at the Roostertail. Their team worked with us, at all hours of the day, to put together the “happily ever after party” we dreamed of having. The view in and of itself is jaw dropping and the photos can’t even do it justice, you have to see in person to truly appreciate the beauty of the detroit skyline, waterfront, boats, etc. Nearly every guest came up to my husband and I and said that this was the most stunning reception venue they have ever been to. Even our DJ and one of my close friends told me they were going to look into the Roostertail for their future weddings! Aside from the Roostertail’s flexibility and stunning views their staff truly showed each of my guest such hospitality—even the owner stopped by for a while to chat with us and our guest! It was amazing to see my favorite music venue transformed for our wedding, we loved everything about it. Working with event coordinator Mellisa was a great experience, she was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole process. We had rave reviews on the food from our guests, especially the elephant ears for dessert. The chef even made separate dishes for myself and a bridesmaid who are vegetarians. The bar service was also awesome and super friendly. Our guests were very pleased with the variety. The overall flow of the wedding went great, and the team made sure everyone was in their places when needed. We also got to take some pretty awesome photos throughout the venue complex, including the Garden Bowl. The band we hired sounded and looked great with the house lights and sound. I cannot say enough good things, I would do it all over again! It was everything I could have wanted and more. Thank you soooooo much, Majestic Team!!!
