I have the fondest of memories of sorting through my grandparents old photographs and carefully leather bound albums, from the black and white staged portraits of generations past, to the faded color snapshots and candids of my childhood. My history is in fine art and black and white film. I started taking photographs in high school with my Mom's 1980's camera and haven't stopped for the past 20 years. I earned a BFA in Photography + Design, studying in Massachusetts and Florence, Italy. After graduation I found my passion in photographing people and documenting the candid moments of life. I've been photographing weddings and portraits ever since, crazy to think it's been over 10 years now!

My introduction to photography came when I was five years old, and my parents bought me a plastic Fischer-Price 110 camera. I dragged it everywhere. I moved on from taking pictures of the family dog to photojournalism for the school newspaper. In high school, I learned classical darkroom technique. I have earned a Bachelor's of the Arts from the George Washington University, a Master's of the Arts from the University of East Anglia in the UK, and I further studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. My current approach to wedding photography builds upon my background in fashion photography and photojournalism.
