Our names are Khalid & Lakmali! We are a husband & wife wedding photographer duo based in Raleigh, NC. We started taking photography seriously about 4 years ago after shooting our first wedding for a high school friend and absolutely fell in love with the whole process! I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. I've been in business for over 10 years. What started out as a hobby in fashion, photographing my daughters fashions shows and an unfortunate work injury led me to wedding photography. I heard lots of horror stories about photographers. What I feel was missing is the relationship between the couples and the photographer.
