Big R Orchards - Wedding and Event Venue is located on top of Brushy Mountain in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Wilkesboro, NC. Enjoy the beauty and romance of 150 acres of family owned & working apple & peach orchards with a 6 acre lake and golf green peninsula with amazing mountain views. The pavilion was uniquely designed and hand-crafted by friends & neighbors. The elegant bridal suite is spacious with over 1000 sf of space, private bathroom, & hair and makeup stations. There is a full commercial caterer's kitchen, public bathrooms, and grooms suite. The open but covered grand hall is 6000 sf with 2 huge chandeliers, Edison string lights, post lights, and a huge rock fireplace. There are also motorized curtains on the west side that can be closed or opened with a touch of a button. Beautifully situated at the top of a hill overlooking a lake on approximately 450 acres tree farm and wildlife preserve. The Longhouse building has a large hall that can be used in a variety of ways. It's cathedral ceiling and large stone hearth make it both beautifully spacious and warm and inviting.
