While learning the art of floral design at a local Cincinnati florist many years ago, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed working on wedding florals! I love the fact that there's nothing but happiness and joy on wedding days. So, for several years, I learned and appreciated different techniques taught to me by my co-workers. As a mom of two though, the time came for me to work from home to accommodate my kids schedules. Fortunately, I was blessed with a few people who gave me a chance on their weddings, and after a few things were figured out, A Little Bit of Green by Lisa was created!

Established in 2021, Back Porch Petals is located in the Cincinnati suburb of Liberty Township, Ohio. Specializing in wedding and event flowers, fresh from the garden blooms, hand crafted arrangements and seasonal creations. Katy incorporates locally and home grown materials into as many of her designs as possible with hopes of providing the freshest flowers to the local community.

I'm Libby, and my flower farm is tucked away in the (sometimes) sunny fields of Ohio. Mornings start with coffee and a moment with Jesus, while the kids and bees are already working hard. I'm hooked on both flowers and farming, and watching them grow side-by-side is pure magic. I love designing bouquets that burst with color and life, just like the blooms I nurture every season. Every person has innate interests and passions, and I recognized from a very young age that creating beauty in my surroundings was something that I wanted to be a part of my life forever. Shortly after I learned to write, I could be found embellishing my letters with little hand-sketched swirls and flowers. Making flower crowns from dandelions I found outside was a staple pastime of my childhood. This inner drive to create has evolved as I grew older and when I was first introduced into the world of floral design in 2016, I quickly realized that I wanted flower arranging to be a part of my life in some way from then on.
