The listing pictures don’t do Secluded Garden Estate justice. It’s absolutely beautiful in person, especially for an afternoon wedding at golden hour. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful the location was several weeks later. Our wedding photos look like they came right out of Lord of the Rings! The venue includes three separate areas for the ceremony, cocktail, and reception, with convenient electrical access, kitchenette, and guest restrooms. The hosts, Emily and Dennis, were incredibly easy to work with and put us at ease right away. They are knowledgeable without being pushy, and professional without making us feel like we were being sold to. Highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful outdoor venue.

CONNER UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!! My husband and I gave him a few "must have" songs and explained the vibe/type of music we like- leaving him pretty much in charge of the playlist. HE NAILED IT. He provided us with a short snippet video to post on social media, a 5-10 minute video, and a long form video with all the major moments of the day. His videos are SPECTACULAR with his editing, music, and EPICness, and these videos will be an amazing capsule to share with our family and family. They were very accessible and easy to reach; I could message my random thoughts and ideas at any hour and Mia would respond almost immediately. They work tirelessly around the clock to get things done so you aren't waiting to get your photos back; mine were sent to me the next day. They are open to suggestions and ideas; I had different visions for my engagement shoot and they were willing to do things out of the norm to make it work. Our photoshoots were fun and unique. I did a boudoir shoot with Mia and she made me feel very comfortable in an intimate setting and it was not awkward at all. Mia is your hype girl! I love their willingness to go with the flow while still getting things done. Mia and Laron complement each other very well. They have different perspective from one another so when they put their heads together, there is more opportunity for creativity, visually stunning work and a unique experience. I got married here at the beginning of June and it was the best day of my life and Forgotten Barrel definitely made it an amazing day. When I first came here to tour the place, Alyssa made me feel like a bride and not just another person looking for a venue. I have to admit, I was a little overwhelmed and Jimmy Really saved the day for us. There were so many little intricate details and things we never thought about leading up to the wedding. He was constantly checking in on emails to make sure we got our little check list done. Last minute my mom had a few more changes the day of the wedding (cringe) bit Jimmy handled it all with ease. He is a cool customer and his dance set was so much fun. Great MC and great voice (can't teach that LOL). Seriously hire him if you want an all star!!

Working with Olivia Johnson, owner of Amore Atelier, was an absolute dream. When we first got engaged and booked our dream venue, L’Auberge Del Mar, it was overwhelming sifting through all of the vendors in San Diego and in stepped Olivia, taking away all of that stress. Olivia not only relieved us of the wedding planning stress but, designed a custom package that was not only within our budget but, that also met our needs. Our first meeting lasted over 2 hours as we chatted as if we were old friends and it was at this point we knew we had found someone we could trust to bring our vision to life. After meeting with us once, she curated a list of vendors that she felt fit our personalities and desires. She hit the nail right on the head with each and every one, making our wedding dream become a reality. Working together over the 9 months leading up to our wedding her passion and attention to detail were evident. When it came to the days leading up to our wedding we knew that everything was taken care of and we could enjoy family time as our guests slowly trickled in to Southern California. Our wedding day was hands down the best day of our lives and a lot of that had to do with Olivia’s hard work. Every little detail was absolutely perfect, from the table settings to the welcome table decor to the passed (sparkly) champagne, it was pure perfection and our guests continue to rave about how it was “the best wedding ever.” Not only did she take care of every little wedding detail, she also took the time to take our dog for a walk during the reception as he was the ring barer earlier in the day. Olivia Johnson is a true gem! We not only had the wedding of our dreams but, acquired a life long friend along the way. I was trying to cut corners on wherever I could as Weddings are just outrageously expensive. My venue required a coordinator, so I looked and reached out to a few. Most never responded to me or were just way too expensive. Finding Jenna was meant to be. She really made me realize how valuable a wedding coordinator is and above all how valuable she was to us. Jenna made all of the difference with how smoothly planning went amd how the day rolled out. I didn't have to worry about a thing because Jenna literally took care of it all - set up, pick up, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, and so much more that I am likely unaware of. She is extremely professional and on top of it all and my husband I highly recommend her. All of our guests commented on how smooth the wedding went and for us was nearly stress free. Let me start by saying that the Secret Garden and the Epic Coordination team made all of my wedding dreams come true! I recently got married at the Secret Garden on April 28th, 2024. It truly was the most magical day of my life not just because I was marrying my soulmate, but because of the amazing coordination team that made our vision come to life. It was the first venue that my husband and I looked at, and we immediately fell in love with it. We loved that it was a beautiful indoor and outdoor garden venue, but we also loved how they offered an all-inclusive wedding package. They have a list of recommended vendors, including DJ, caterer, florist, photography/videography, and so much more. They give you the option to choose a vendor that they don't have on their recommended list, but we did everything through them and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They really offer the best-of-the-best professionals that know exactly what they're doing. A special shoutout to our coordinator, Laura, for being so organized and making sure everything was perfect on our big day! When it came to the day of the wedding, the entire timeline flowed seamlessly. None of the guests were left waiting around or wondering what was going on because the coordination team was so on top of everything! Everyone at our wedding, including myself and my husband, had an amazing time. Another thing to mention was that the communication with the Secret Garden and their team was beyond excellent! Any question I had, they answered promptly and made sure that the planning process was seamless. I had an enjoyable experience planning our wedding thanks to the support from the Secret Garden and Epic team! To conclude, my wedding day at the Secret Garden was literally the happiest day of our lives! It couldn't have been more perfect. If you're envisioning a fairytale garden wedding like I was, choose this venue!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to hire Motel Cinema! As an entertainment marketer, specifically for documentaries, how our wedding would be documented was top of mind for me and I met with quite a few videographers. We cannot recommend Jackie enough! Jackie was essential in our wedding planning and coordination. She was extremely responsive, organized and proactive. If you are planning your first (and hopefully last!) wedding, go with Jackie. She has the experience, knows what she is talking about, has a great vendor list, knows what to expect and most importantly is an excellent problem solver. I felt like we were in good hands the entire time. She guided myself and my partner though logistics for the wedding day and then on the wedding day, she was proactive, did an excellent job wrangling our guests and bridal party. When the weather didn't cooperate, she took charge and helped keep things moving smoothly for us and our guests. Jackie also had excellent vendor recommendations, many of which we ended up going well and we are so happy we did. As a gay couple, it was also really important for us to partner with someone that was excited about planning a gay wedding and Jackie was not only enthusiastic but understood our vision and contributed great ideas. Joanne and Jamie were easily one of my favorite vendors for my wedding. I got married April 7, 2024 and had my hair trial on February 3. I found Joanne’s company through one of my Instagram friends, who also got her hair done with them. I was immediately taken with them for two reasons: 1) They had no minimum person requirement 2) they were so so so quick in their email communications (something I found was super rare when looking for hairstylists). Immediately upon visiting for the trial, I knew I was in good hands. They were both so sweet and really took into consideration my preferences, veil & dress, and venue when making suggestions. I felt so comfortable with them (and they even gave me some tea!). On the day of the wedding, Jamie arrived promptly at our getting ready location and was quite efficient and effective in doing my hair. I never was worried that my hair would fall out during the wedding and the fact that I never once thought about my hair all night is a testament to how well it was done. And as I look back on my photos, I constantly look at my hair, impressed by how well it stayed curled and beautiful all day (even as I danced for 2 hours straight). I could never recommend Joanne and Jamie more for your big day.

If you want to make your wedding planning even a fraction easier, hire Calmerin. We got their Jade package and even though that’s their smallest package it was so so helpful. We talked with Glennie and Amanda to talk over big picture stuff, get recommendations for other vendors, etc. and then the first time I met them was for the venue walkthrough. They’re the professionals and so they brought so many excellent questions for us and for the venue. It really helped us know what we still needed to figure out and prepare for the big day. Then, for the rehearsal/walkthrough and the big day, they were there every step of the way to help get the whole timeline sorted out. Both Amanda and Glennie were so kind and professional; they helped the whole day run so smoothly. The last thing, but really SO important and crucial: they helped with the breakdown and packing everything up. While we were all dancing on the dance floor and having a blast, they were helping to gather up everything and get the venue set back as it needed to be by the end of the night. It was such a weight off our shoulders for them to just handle all of that. They were always on top of everything and it was all so wonderful. Hire Calmerin for your wedding, and breathe a sigh of relief that you have them on your team because now it will surely be a beautiful day. Thanks Glennie and Amanda for everything! I can't say enough great things about Miranda and her team! From our first conversation, we immediately connected with her and she already felt like a friend. She quickly understood our vision for our wedding and what was important to us. She encouraged us to make it very personal and unique--she never shot down any weird ideas we might've had but also brought an experienced perspective, while also keeping us on track with all of the little details and scheduling. She was so well-organized and professional while also keeping things stress-free, light, and fun. There were no questions too big, too small, or too personal with all the drama that can come with such a big event. Miranda was easy to reach via text/email, and took the initiative to reach out and schedule check-ins when needed to make sure we stayed on track with the huge to-do list that comes with a wedding. Her vendor recommendations & other suggestions were awesome, but she also respected a couple of the areas where we found our own vendors with no questions asked. She truly helped us get every detail settled, down to the napkins and our catering order details. She took all the stress off once we got to the month of and leading up to the wedding day, confirming with our vendors so we didn't have to worry about it whatsoever. Our wedding day went seamlessly thanks to her--it sounds cliche but it was the most fun and beautiful day ever and we were able to really enjoy it thanks to Miranda. We couldn't have asked for a better planner and I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the SD area! She also helped us with signage for the day-of and did a beautiful job at a super reasonable price.

Okay, you have to book Ono Grinds for your wedding. You just have to. Our wedding day was perfect and beautiful, but the thing that we keep hearing about from our guests was how amazing dinner was!! We ordered enough food for our guests to have multiple plates — expecting leftovers. There were none. Our guests loved it so much it was completely devoured! The end product of course is so important, but I have to mention the experience we had working with Andrea. She went above and beyond to make our day feel as perfect as it was! We did a tasting with Andrea to determine our perfect menu and she not only brought the delicious food but brought her wealth of knowledge as well! She worked with our venue to make sure everything was taken care of and that we didn’t have a worry in the world. Our day was perfect, and it’s because we worked with the most amazing people, and Andrea was a huge part of it all. Andrea, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did to help make our day as special as it was. Thank you and your team from the bottom of our hearts!!

I provided her with my vision and gave her creative license to make it happen and she delivered! The last month of wedding planning life threw us some curve balls and Stephanie was so kind to us during that challenging time. If you are not sure whether or not you need a wedding planner, you do. Let me tell you not having to worry about set up, clean up, timelines and who knows what else made my day a breeze as a bride. Also Bonus! I was able to use some of her items-I didn’t have to buy them!!
