Sugar Lake Lodge is a 135 acre estate with a seven acre private lake surrounded by Lake County Metro Parks. It features a gorgeous 6,700 square foot lodge & event center with an 1,800 square ft. private suite fully equipped with kitchen, fire place, and elegant bathroom all with a slight rustic feel. There is also a steam room for guests to unwind and enjoy. In addition, there is a lakefront event center with dual inside and outside fireplaces, and accommodations. For a more remote and primitive experience, there are secluded cabins complete with bathrooms and a pavilion with cooking grills sinks and fire pits amidst beautiful hiking and horseback riding trails.

The onsite hotel accommodation allows for planning with ease for out of town guests. When Steve Passov purchased the building in Mentor, he envisioned a place where the community would gather in unique ways: A blank space where any kind of event could happen. Through the perfect sequence of events, he was connected to Meghan and Adam Delange, both with robust experience in the events and hospitality industry.

Daytime Ceremony Only: We offer a ceremony only option at our Butterfly Garden or Rhododendron Garden. An outdoor ceremony only can be scheduled at 10:30am, 1 pm, or 4 pm Tuesday-Saturday, or at 1pm on Sunday. Ceremony only rental includes a two hour rental, an indoor rain location, 45 minute rehearsal, ceremony chairs, time for photos on the grounds, guest parking and admission- as well as staff to assist in the coordination of the ceremony. Evening Reception and Ceremony: Receptions at the Holden Arboretum are held after the arboretum closes to the public and can start as early as 6pm and end as late as 11:00 pm.
