Medina Entertainment Center opened its doors in 1956 with the hope to bring music, dancing and food to the west suburbs. We are a family-owned & operated business, which includes Robert's Restaurant & Bar, 12 bowling lanes, a game room, a concert space, three private event spaces and The Medina Inn. As a big part of our community, Medina is well-known for our delicious food and friendly customer service. All three of our private event spaces as well as other areas of the building have all been remodeled in the last 10 years. Our Images room seats up to 130 guests, our Event Rooms seat up to 200 guests, and our Grand Ballroom is a wonderful space for 180 guests or more, seating up to 600 guests. For centuries, the beauty and natural treasures of the St. Croix Valley have drawn people to the area which is now Stillwater. The first to call this area home were the Sioux and Chippewa Nations. Later, the first traders and trappers in Minnesota Territory settled here. By the mid 1880’s, railroading and river activity helped build the community into a bustling town of 13,000 people. Stillwater became the trade center for miners and trappers to the North, and farmers and lumbermen to the West. The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad eventually saw a need for a freight depot. In 1979, the historical significance of the building was recognized and the Freight House became the first building in Stillwater to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
