As a harpist, vocalist, composer, conductor, and songwriter, Timbre Cierpke is pioneering new sounds in both classical and commercial music, drawing from both worlds to create a truly unique neo-classical romantic minimalism. Timbre has been commissioned to compose string quartets, acapella choral works, and full orchestral compositions, including a yearly commission by the Jackson Symphony in Jackson TN. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.
