We have three huge, connected Nordic Tipis with an elevated hardwood dancefloor, hand-built poplar banquet tables, an indoor stage, and staging areas for buffet, sit down catering, and bar service. On our outdoor ceremonial stage, we have erected a naked tipi covered in fairy lights with aisle seating consisting of long cedar benches for an authentic woodsy wedding experience. Built for the Richard S. Willis family in 1854. Hodge Podge Lodge was originally called "Melrose" in memory of an estate owned by his ancestors in Scotland. The home started as a four room, story and a half house with a detached kitchen. Throughout the house, one can trace the outline of the original footprint by noticing the wide plank flooring in the parlor, formal dining room and library. During the civil war era the massive lawn, with huge oak and pecan trees, quickly became a favorite place for many young people in town for picnics and family gatherings. It is on these same grounds that we invite you and your loved ones to celebrate life’s memorable occasions.
