Angelle’s Floral LLC

5.0

College Station, TX
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Offer

My business began when I was 15 in high school, making prom boutonnières and corsages for my class. God has blessed it since then, as it grew quickly! Over 7 years later, it has been my full time job for 3 years, I now have a team of assistants, and it continues to be my passion. I have been featured in bridal magazines, Brides of Houston, Brides of Austin, Brides of San Antonio, Voyage Austin, completed dozens of weddings, formed an LLC and received my Texas State Floral Association certification. I offer weddings all over Texas, but will travel further with travel costs added. Isaiah 40:8

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves Oakwood, TX

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

My daughter’s wedding was last Friday and it was absolutely perfect. We ordered flowers a few weeks before the wedding and got our first box no problem. The second box with the rest of the order was coming from a different location and UPS made a mistake with our address. If made me so nervous and I thought we are not going to have time to put flowers together but luis stepped in and resolved this situation very professionally. We got our flowers the same day and I can’t thank him enough for acting quickly and being incredibly helpful all they way. All of the flowers that came in looked great. My friend getting married in a few month and I would highly recommend Moxie Flowers to him and everyone who is having a wedding or any other event. A!!!

As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation

5.0

Harrisburg, PA
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Oakwood, TX

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.

Ashley was an absolute dream to work with. I found most of wedding planning to be stressful, but Ashley's professionalism and strong grasp of my aesthetic made working with her FUN. She is incredibly organized and easy to work with, and creative at how to get maximum value (and the most beauty!) for our dollar. She (and our photographer/videographer) were our TOP TWO wedding vendors because they were so easy to work with, very accommodating, responsive, and really understood our vision. If all vendors were as easy and as fun to work with as Ashley, wedding planning would be a lot better. I also appreciate that Ashley sends you a detailed proposal with pictures of flowers (including the shades) that she plans to use, which really helps you make sure that you're on the same page. Ashley was incredibly flexible about using mixed decor—some that I was able to source, and some that she provided. She was even able to find plastic planters at Home Depot so I could spray paint them gold and fake a much more expensive metal alternative! Her aesthetic isn't just limited to flowers either: she can design entire tablescapes and centerpieces that include candles, glassware, crates, lanterns, etc. On the day of, I was so blown away by how beautiful everything was! Ashley is THE best and I cannot recommend her highly enough! I honestly wish I could leave a SIX star review...but then I wouldn't be satisfied and would want to leave more and more and more! There are not stars enough to describe Arlene Rose Designs. :)
