The Hotel at Oberlin ended up being the perfect place for our wedding. The location is close to pretty much anything you'll need for a wedding weekend. It's within a 1 minute walk to a variety of potential photograph locations (e.g. Hall Auditorium, Tappan Square...) as well as business (e.g. salons, restaurants, cafes) that can help your wedding day go smoothly. There are also a variety of potential ceremony locations within walking distance. We chose the Apollo Theater across the street. The team at the hotel, especially Lauren, was responsive and helpful every step of the way. The chef and Lauren worked together to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and requests (e.g. extra entree option, catered lunch and snacks...). They were also helpful with managing the linen rentals, room design, and room block reservations. Guests were charmed by Oberlin and gave us feedback that they enjoyed being able to slow and down and enjoy small town life during the weekend. Chassey was awesome!! She was very kind and sweet. My husband and I booked the venue/pavilion 21 months prior to wedding date sight unseen based off her personality, customer service, pictures, cost and the fact that I wanted a beach wedding in Ohio. The months and days before the wedding, if we had any questions, comments or concerns, she responded in a reasonable amount of time. We went to visit the venue a year before the actual wedding (5/27/2024) so that we could get a visual of the area. The day of the wedding, Chassey and her team were very helpful, kind and courteous to myself, family, and friends. They helped us decorate the venue although we brought our own decorations. Everything was beautiful and ready before the start of the wedding. They made us feel very comfortable. They went above and beyond our expectations. We (family and friends included) will definitely be back to visit for vacation.

Catering off-site events can be difficult, but Jeanne Fleming made it a breeze. We, as caterers, were able to communicate easily with her from when the wedding planning began through the day and evening of the event. We were able to work together in a way that gave the bride and groom nothing to worry about on their special day. I have been recommending The Christy House after discovering how great they are to work with!

I got married here on 9.29.24 and cannot say enough good things about Arlington Acres! From the initial inquiry, tour, all the way until the wedding day, Sarah was so helpful in making my wedding dreams come true. She was always so quick to respond to my million emails and so willing to help give feedback when I was questioning certain decisions. It ended up raining on our wedding day, which wasn’t ideal, but even with the rain, our wedding was PERFECT. The venue is gorgeous, there is so much room to really make the event unique and personable to you, and we loved that we were able to choose all of our own vendors. I can’t even tell you how many of our guests came up and told us how gorgeous the venue was. My husband and I would recommend this venue a million times over. If you are considering it, book your date now!! You absolutely will not regret it. Thanks Sarah and family for everything!! Whitehall Columbia was the perfect venue for our wedding! The communication with their event coordinator, Julia, was always easy, fast, and professional which made the wedding planning and day everything we have always wanted. The venue itself is beautiful, clean, and classy - perfect for a wedding. The chapel has gorgeous chandeliers, massive windows, and great natural light. Their staff was attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly on our big day. I cannot thank Julia enough. Without her, the whole wedding wouldn’t have been exactly what we dreamed of. My husband and I have talked about the day over and over again. Nothing could’ve been better. For the quality of the venue and service, Whitehall Columbia offered insane value. Columbia Hills was the most perfect venue for our wedding, and Jennifer Miller was the most amazing coordinator. The food was amazing, the staff who worked during our wedding were wonderful, and the locations on the golf course for photos are incredible. Jen is so sweet and accommodating, she worked so hard before, during, and after our wedding. We absolutely loved working with her! Due to COVID we decided to downsize our wedding and she worked with us to make the changes we needed to make. We were unsure of how it would go but everything was seamless, and our day was absolutely perfect. Our guests were so impressed with both the venue and Jen, we got so many compliments about them all night. My husband and I highly recommend Columbia Hills (and Jen!!) to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with great food.

Donauschwaben’s was one of our venue choices coming highly recommended by our friends and family already. We reached out through their website and within no time we got an immediate response from the Christine, Event/ Wedding planner to set up a meeting together. She is not only extremely kind, but had everything organized so beautifully to choose from it was a no-brainer to choose this venue. She even recommended our DJ who had played a previous wedding there who was incredible. All communication leading up to our big day was efficient and layed out easily for us to understand. Our checks were deposited in a timely manner by the venue, our tasting was so nice and so delicious. The no pressure wedding planning was worth every penny spent. Our wedding day was so special and so beautiful from start to finish from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to our lovely reception to follow. Not only was Christine present the day of, but the staff was also on their A game all night long. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and kind, we felt like royalty. We both highly recommend this venue and if you do, definitely get the Schnitzel, Prost! The only recommendation to the venue would be to update their beverage packages to include seltzers such as High noons or White claws. Personal and attentive to detail. Easy to work with, had a lot of dietary restrictions to work within and they were more than accommodating. Communication was responsive. Kelly was dream to work with and was so helpful and patient despite me being a bit of an anxious bride who was having trouble making decisions:) The venue itself is classy yet relaxed- everyone I talked to said it was the nicest event space they have ever been to and while I'm biased, I agree! Highly recommend renting a tent if you can swing it just so you don't have the added stress of potential rain. Our day was carefree and perfect:)

We chose Bloom & Bower for our wedding reception and it was the best decision we could have ever made (aside from marrying each other, of course). The venue itself was beautiful and was decorated to match our ideas and beyond. We were able to make use of the indoor and outdoor spaces during the reception. The property is gorgeous and there is plenty of space for picture opportunities and for guests to walk around or play yard games. My bridesmaids and I used the bed and breakfast the night before and got ready there in the morning. It was perfect and made for great getting ready photos. Plus the decorations are so cute inside. The Bloom & Bower staff exceeded all our our expectations and were ready to help with anything and everything. They were also beyond kind. In preparation from the reception, we were able to meet with the owner multiple times to tour the venue and for two planning meetings to make sure she understood exactly what we were hoping for. The owner, Margaret, is the most kind and genuine person. She was so supportive of all of our ideas and was there to make sure our day went smoothly. I will recommend this place to everyone! I couldn't imagine having our special day anywhere else.

The Aviator is a beautiful and modern venue, perfect for our dream wedding of 300 guests. The Aviator staff are highly professional and considerate. We worked with Jen Seidel, operations manager, for an entire year to help our wedding vision come to reality. She was easy to work with, always available, and happy to walk us through any detail, no matter how small. Her calm demeanor was essential while planning a significant day! Positively, The Aviator does all the wedding set-up and the cleaning after the reception, which was one of our top priorities when looking for a venue. They also allowed us time the day before for the bridal party to practice their entrances. The food was absolutely delicious. All guests, including those with meal accommodation changes, were served dinner quickly, and we got a lot of compliments on the food. The drinks were incredible, and the bar service was remarkable. We had an open bar. I can’t repeat enough that the service was exceptional! Everyone at the Aviator was professional, accommodating, easy to work with, and excellent at their jobs. We had so many children at our wedding; all the staff members were patient, mindfull, and helpful. After our wedding, we had guests contact us to communicate how impressed they were with the overall service of the Aviator staff, especially the servers and bartenders! Finally, our wedding wouldn’t have come together without the hard work of the Event Management Team, especially Roula Elias, Aviator Event Manager, whom we worked closely with the day before and the day of the wedding. My husband and I initially wanted to elope. That is, until, we found this space. If you want your wedding day to feel like an absolute dream, while still being intimate and beautiful, you need to book CoLab. We had our ceremony there, and it was perfection from start to finish. Maureen is truly everything—she was with us every step of the way, making sure everything was just right and exactly what we wanted and hoped for. She handled every curveball and question with total grace. The space itself is gorgeous. It's airy while still being moody. There are so many beautiful details around the space that make for a perfect backdrop. The decor adds so much to the space without taking away from your event. CoLab is gorgeous but I truly believe that it’s Maureen that makes it special. She genuinely cares about her clients, and it shows. I felt like I had a close friend there for me as we were waiting for the ceremony to begin, which is exactly what you want and need. Someone in your corner, hyping you up, and bringing the kindest presence to the day. Even if you opt out of her being there for you day-of, know that everything she does behind the scenes before the event is worth the cost and then some. If you want a ceremony spot that feels like a cozy, beautiful home for your big day, this is it. And if you’re on the fence—just do it. You’ll thank me later! (If you're doing ceremony-only at CoLab, I'd recommend that you book the extra lounge space, trust me! We booked both spaces and it made for such a seamless day and gave folks a place to mignle and chat before and after the ceremony!)

Five fun facts about the Lake Erie Building: 1. We were originally built to be Templar Motors back in 1917. There were less than 3,000 of these cars ever manufactured and if you look carefully, you may even be able to spot one while in the event space! 2. Omni Lakewood purchased the building in 2005 and now manages the building, which has been divided into individual suites that are home to over 100 businesses. 3. The west parking lot where our dock is located used to be a test track for Templar Motors. 4. We host only one event per weekend and give our clients access beginning on Wednesday so they can bring in all their personal touches! We also only require cards and gifts go with them that night and everything else can stay giving you more time to spend with your new spouse! 5. We include a private parking lot and have a huge municipal lot across the street that's available to guests. (If you know of Lakewood, you know parking is a hot commodity)

Lake Erie Building is the perfect venue if you want to decorate your space exactly as you want it! Having early access to the space days before the wedding was worth its weight in gold. And the “bones” of the space are stunning. The venue coordinator, Hannah, was great to work with too. She gave us great recommendations for vendors and insight into the planning process. The reason for the 4 stars for the clarity of communication is because the contract had some inaccurate information, which I found annoying because I’m a “rules” person. But I can’t recommend this venue enough!!

The staff at Galaxy did a great job working with us to customize our booking for our small wedding. We booked the Wine Cellar which was the perfect size for a small, intimate reception and we still had plenty of room to add bar service. Our bartender was fantastic and really added to the fun of our event, and the other staff were super attentive and great to work with as well. The food was fantastic and our guests really enjoyed the whole evening.

We had our wedding at the Lantern Room hosted by Penthouse Events Cle at the end of August and the entire experience was amazing. The space itself is beautiful, but working with Ursula and her business partner Julio was just as much of a “feature” of this venue. We had so many compliments about our big day, and we both had a blast. I wish I could have bottled up the experience of the whole night to relive again and again. First, about the space: The Lantern Room, on the sixth floor of the Church State apartment building in Hingetown, is a unique, really cool space. We were immediately drawn to the large deck providing a gorgeous view of downtown and the lake. At night, it was magical! Our wedding fell over Labor Day weekend which of course includes the Cleveland air show. We were able to welcome our guests to a “pre” cocktail hour where they could watch the jet show from the deck before being seated for the ceremony. We got really lucky with gorgeous weather, a vivid sunset, and even fireworks from Progressive Field. The inside space is also quite striking, with lots of lovely natural light and options to customize. Between the deck and indoor event space, there were a lot of different options for guests to mingle and dance. There was even a fire pit out on the deck, and we rented a glow-in-the-dark corn hole board from our DJ, so there were options for guests who didn’t want to dance the whole time. The bar was outside on the deck and they were a blast as well! The drinks and the food from the caterer was all delicious - there were a lot of compliments about the signature cocktails and the dinners! We loved that the space was dog friendly as we wanted to include our dog in the special day! You can also rent a fully furnished private apartment on the floor right below the Lantern Room, which we utilized for getting ready. The apartment is spacious, elegantly modern, and so convenient. And between the event space and the apartment, there are so many great, distinctive backgrounds for photos. One small thing to note about the Lantern Room is that since it is in a residential building, the music/partying has to stop by 10pm. The vibes were so good, we felt like we could have stayed later, but it's good to end on a high note and we also arranged for a nice after-party at one of the great bars literally around the corner, so that was super convenient and a hit for our guests. Ursula was so communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. We were always impressed by how promptly she replied to emails. She helped form our vision and bring it to life based on just a few conversations and a Pinterest board that we put together. We truly felt supported in the lead-up and, most importantly, on the wedding day. It even came down to the little touches: for example, she helped come up with specialty cocktails that reflected our tastes well (including a bonus mocktail named for our dog!), put together menus that exactly matched the design of the other graphics I had made.
