“McKenzie was everything I could have asked for in a photographer. I spent a lot of time looking through photographers in the area, as having nice photos to look back on was super important to me. We don't live near where our venue was, so I was a bit nervous about not being able to meet the vendors ahead of time, but this was not a problem at all. McKenzie was very communicative and video called me for our meetings, was up front about the costs and payments, and honestly just so so sweet. I genuinely felt like she was just as excited about my wedding as I was. Her positive attitude was so reassuring and I knew right away that we made the right choice. On our wedding day, she gave great direction for posing, which was super helpful as our bridal party (bride & groom included) were not very experienced working with a professional photographer. I have a pretty big blended family, and McKenzie was so helpful organizing everybody and making sure everyone looked their best for photos (even making it work when some family members made things complicated). We had a videographer as well that McKenzie had never worked with before, but you couldn't tell that they had just met that day, as the worked so well together. When people were at risk of interrupting our photos, she kindly asked them to move, and snuck me out for sunset photos during the ceremony with ease. We had our "sneak peek" photos sent to us only a few days after the wedding which were so sweet to look at during our honeymoon. She even included a sweet card in our card box. Not only is she talented, but she is kind, helpful, understanding, and it felt like I was working with a friend (despite basically being strangers). These are photos I will have to look back on to remember these moments forever and I am so grateful I chose the right photographer. I would highly recommend McKenzie to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, or a photographer for any service she offers.”

“I am going to try and get off my soapbox for this review but I make no promises. Hiring Jessie Harris and Wildcrest Studios for my wedding was the single best decision I have ever made, except for marrying my husband. We had a small wedding, with a small budget, a very specific vision, no planner or coordinator, and no freaking clue what we were doing. From my first phone call with Jessie I knew that she was something special. She is experienced, organized, diligent, detail oriented, creative, kind, patient, and funny as heck. She truly listens to what you are hoping for and - somehow, despite all odds - she makes it happen. She LITERALLY threw off her shoes and climbed into Lake Michigan to get a shot of my husband and I on a dock at sunset. She kicked the groomsmen out of the area during our first touch because it was ruining the moment and I was too emotional and nervous to say anything. She drove across the state to shoot a pre-wedding reception for us. Alex, the second shooter, tied my husband’s bow tie for him before he walked down the aisle… and my brother’s… and my dad’s… and I’m pretty sure half the groomsmen’s bow ties too. She helped us create the timeline for our wedding day. She even gave us advice on what to pick for our first dance. And, to top it all off, she has provided us with the most unbelievable and stunning engagement, reception, and wedding day photos I could have imagined. Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how I feel when thinking about finding Jessie and Wildcrest Studios. Do yourself a favor and at least send an inquiry. Or don’t, and I’ll keep her all to myself :)”

Due to COVID, we had to change our Wedding Day plans quite a bit and Stephanie helped us every step of the way to figure it out. She was super responsive and FaceTimed with me anytime I was stressing or had questions. After we had our final meeting a couple of weeks before my Wedding, I felt so good and so confident. Stephanie helped me figure out the perfect time for my Ceremony based on the best lighting and made sure I had time for all the photos I wanted. Come Wedding day, I could not have been happier. She arrived early to scope out my venue and the best spot for our First Look and Portraits (which were the most important to me). She remained so calm and collective, a true professional yet it feels like she was one of my best friends throughout my entire Wedding day. Hi! It's nice to meet you. I would shake your hand, but I'm more of a fist-bump type of gal. 😃 I have worked full-time as a math and special education teacher for over 20 years, and nearing my 40's, decided to pursue photography since it has been a life-long interest of mine. In 2019, I completed a digital photography degree and while it originally started as a hobby, my work gained a following so I decided to make things official in 2020. Over the past couple of years, my focus has been on photographing families in addition to couples in love. Getting a couple who's madly in love in front of your camera is pure magic!
