You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

I’m an experienced DJ and have been spinning at events for over 25 yrs. In addition, I’ve participated as talent, as well as tech and presentation, in music related events all around the Washington DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland region for three decades. I branched out into doing weddings in the 00’s, and it has been great! I love playing weddings and sharing in the joy of the happy couple and their families!

SRO, the Scott Ragsdale Orchestra is a unique society dance orchestra based in Washington, DC, specializing in classic dance music from the 1920s-30s-40s to the new millennium. Extremely versatile, made up of current and former members of the premier US military bands of Washington, DC, SRO performs as a core 5-pc. to a small orchestra with fabulous vocals, horns and strings. I am a christian, that much should be obvious. I am a product of the hip hop culture, but I’ve always loved music even before I gave my life to CHRIST. When I first entered into relationship with GOD thru CHRIST there weren’t a lot godly examples in hip hop music. This has changed over the last 10 – 15 years. This shift has drawn me back to my culture and has awaken my interest in DJing. I have been spinning for 7+ years, and I never stop learning. I love playing in front of people, and there is nothing like that energy.

When fate, family and music become one, you find the Low Low Chariot. Singer-songwriter JD Sutphin toured for years with his rock outfit, Madrone, gaining thousands of fans and even radio support. But even with their success, his maternal grandmother told him repeatedly “Country music is gonna find you.” And one fateful Christmas it did, in a decades old stack of songs unearthed by his family, written by his own grandfather who died on July 4th, 1974, before he could record them.JD’s grandfather, Jim Freeman, an incredibly accomplished musician in his own right, toured with bluegrass greats Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe.

After studying music composition and performance at Salisbury University, David migrated from the small-town atmosphere of his youth on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, where he has since been playing music for a living. He now performs regularly along the mid-Atlantic region of the US, occasionally touring in other parts of the country as well. In the process, he has developed a strong fan base and attracted attention from many well-known names in the music industry and beyond, from Performing Songwriter magazine to Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket to Ben Stein.

Tiffany Rose Shanta began playing violin and piano at a very young age. She comes from a musical family, having first been taught by her mother, an accomplished harpist, before being under the tutelage of world renowned violinist and conductor, Luis Haza. She toured in France and Germany, and performed at Carnegie Hall. For many years now, Tiffany has performed for weddings and special events in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas. Some of her past clients and venues include: The King of Saudi Arabia, the Library of Congress, The National Press Club, The Kennedy Center, The Smithsonian.

As a young child, Ricardo (Richard) was introduced to the guitar by his father, the eminent classical guitarist John E. Marlow. He went on to receive a degree from the James Madison School of Music (James Madison University) in 1997. Mr. Marlow subsequently took up the flamenco guitar and studied with master, Gerardo Núñez, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain, and continues to do so yearly since 1999. In 1997 Mr. Marlow began playing professionally as a guitarist for the Arte Flamenco Dance Company and in venues such as The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage and the Baltimore Museum of Art, among others.

His music career thus far has brought him to 60 different countries on 4 continents. Currently, Dom adheres to a busy gig schedule in the Washington DC area, performing regularly at some of the area’s most recognized venues with a variety of different artists and projects.

Aaron is a high end DJ who has worked all over the DC and Northern Virginia area. He began to DJ in 1995, performing at countless clubs and bars in Atlanta to help support his music career as a bass player. Aaron’s love of music began in high school playing bass in jazz band.

He has served as Vice President of the Dayton Classical Guitar Society as well as Vice President of the Washington Guitar Society.

I have been a singer/musician for more than 25 years playing Latin and International music in clubs, hotels, etc. I have theatre experience at the Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre, Arena Stage and Gala Theatre.

Formed in the Washington area, Veronneau quickly gained widespread recognition for their live shows – the recognition became international with the release of their debut album Joie de Vivre – Joy of Living, released in 2011. The album went to #9 in the Jazzweek World Music chart and had extensive radio play throughout the US and Europe, leading to shows in the UK, where the band performed live on BBC Radio, and in Canada. La Mer,the 1930’s French song from the album, has become a major hit on internet radio and Youtube where it has garnered over 30,000 views.

Washington DC-based vocalist Kevin Rose has been praised as “a performer with skill and confidence, not to mention a gorgeous, clear voice.” A versatile singer, Kevin can shift styles with ease from pop and jazz to musical theater and classical music. This is evidenced by his varied resume; in 2017 Kevin performed in the US tour of Dido and Aeneas with the Mark Morris Dance Group, and was also invited to bring his cabaret series “If Not Now, When?” to the historic Metropolitan Room in NYC. Nickoli Andrews is I&I Riddim’s dynamic lead vocalist. This spirited singer’s love for music is rooted in Kingston Jamaica where he was born, and in Westmoreland where he was raised. Nickoli is known for his passionate high energy performances. He is a true entertainer and composer who excites and electrifies his audiences with tunes from a variety of music genres, but his true love is rockin’ the reggae.

The Archives began when Thievery Corporation’s Eric Hilton began a quest to explore the roots of reggae music. Led by producer/ keyboard ace Darryl “D-Trane” Burke, all members have recorded and toured internationally with acts like Eek-A-Mouse, Black Uhuru, Culture, Don Carlos and more,” Burke explains. “We weave together the best of foundation reggae roots, rock steady, early dub and dancehall influences.

With a father who loves Miles Davis and a mother who adores Smokey Robinson, Cecily grew up surrounded by the music in her parents vast record collection, and was captivated by the works of Minnie Riperton, Gil Scott-Heron, Anita Baker, and Phyllis Hyman. After college, Cecily looked to these rich, soulful sounds from her childhood, and channeled them into her own music. Known for her sweet soprano, honest lyrics and pure vocals, Cecily brings her own vulnerability to each song, telling her story, and hopes that, at the end, the audience feels vulnerable enough to tell their own stories.

Now based in Washington DC, Eli has been traveling the globe for two decades and weaving his experiences into fresh folk anthems of personal empowerment, natural awareness, and finding one’s place in the world.Rooted in the Americana tradition, Eli’s influences range from the flamenco progressions of Andalusia, Spain, enchanting minor chords from Israel and the Middle East, and powerful melodies from the southwestern United States.
