DJ Mark Maskell is an experienced wedding DJ in the Washington DC area with a background in DC nightclubs and expertise extending far beyond simply rocking the dancefloor after dinner. In addition to DJing hundreds of weddings over 15+ years, Mark has worked extensively as a wedding coordinator and works closely with clients to ensure that the day flows smoothly.

I love to travel! Weddings beyond the usual 12-hour driving radius from the Washington DC area are priced primarily on the cost of expenses (flight, hotel, local equipment rental, vehicle rental, hiring local stage crew, etc) and are given custom quotes. Below are some recent quotes and bookings, all included full ceremony, cocktail, dinner coverage plus uplighting.

    We booked Mark to DJ on our wedding day, but he did so much more than that. We didn’t have a coordinator, as it was a smaller wedding, so Mark stepped up and essentially acted as the coordinator. We had several zoom calls leading up to the wedding to touch base and run through everything. He offered a ton of good advice and details we wouldn’t have thought of. He came a day early to set up all of his stuff, so that the wedding day would be smoother and less stressful. He is energetic and upbeat, which was much needed during all the emotional tears throughout the day. The lighting/light show was beyond incredible for the dance party, photos couldn’t do it justice. He played all of our must-play songs, and definitely got the vibe of what music we like for other moments. He is very self-sufficient with travel and set up, which is a huge relief when having to manage everything else. He has a wealth of knowledge in the wedding space, extremely attentive to detail, and can do it all. He really cares about your wedding day being the best it can be. Highly recommend using Mark!

    Mark was hands down THE best part of our wedding! He was so helpful during the whole planning process. Any questions we had he gave us the best advice. He doubles down as a “Day of Coordinator” as well, making sure the timeline is down to a tee. The lights he set up in our reception was like nothing I’ve seen at any other wedding. He even had us throw down on the turntable and it was such a fun and unique moment that everyone loved!! It really was electric during party time! Mark is also so friendly and personable. He was our favorite vendor to work with. My advice is to stop scrolling now and BOOK THIS MAN for your wedding!!! You will not regret it. THANK YOU MARK FOR THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!

    Mark Maskell was one of the best vendors I hired for my wedding. He delivered an unforgettable night for my wedding guests. Everyone loved him. He was lots of fun, very professional, very timely, and super helpful. He communication was great. He honestly set the standard for the rest of my wedding vendors. I couldn't imagine picking anyone else.

    It’s always so refreshing meeting a wedding vendor that truly just loves his job and genuinely wants the best for his clients. That was my first impression upon meeting Mark who will literally do whatever he can to turn your dance floor dreams to life. Mark really goes above and beyond for his clients and even offers to help plan your day outside of your music and lighting needs. He is willing to travel and will come as early as he can to setup and stay as late as he can to ensure that all of your lighting, speaker and music needs are met. Mark even came to our final walkthrough and helped advocate for us with our coordinator to make sure the caterer and venue were accommodating our requests. I can’t tell you how many people told my husband and I how much they loved our DJ after the wedding between his energy, playlist, all of the amazing uplifting he added in for the speeches, the dance party lights, and we received compliments about how friendly he was in the buffet line chatting with all of our guests. Mark is really the best out there and we hope we get to attend another wedding or event where Mark is the DJ as we really miss working with him already. Thank you for everything Mark- we appreciate you and your amazing work so so much!!
