Hyperion Field Club is a beautiful wedding venue located in Johnston, Iowa. Originally opened in 1910 and renovated in 1972, this elegant and traditional building offers picturesque views for couples and their guests to marvel at. Clients can work with the venue's event director, Corrina Iler, in order to design and implement their envisioned wedding event. The breathtaking setting of this estate offers an ideal location to host rehearsal dinners, receptions, anniversary parties, and more. The clubhouse on the property boasts five event spaces that couples can utilize to celebrate their love. Each room features an abundance of large windows that combine to grant guests panoramic views of the city. This versatile venue is ideal for intimate affairs and grand celebrations alike, as the building can host anywhere from 50 to 300 individuals. In order to accommodate every couple's loved ones, the country club features ample parking and wheelchair-accessible entrances.

All catering is done on site, and has a variety of options to choose from. A team of skilled bartenders will provide you and your guests with delicious wine and cocktails, whether you want an open, limited, or cash bar. Since our origin on October 12, 1894, the Waterloo Elks Lodge 290 has established itself as a charitable organization throughout our long and prestigious history. By incorporating the four stations of fidelity, brotherly love, charity and justice, the Waterloo Elks have played and will continue to play an active role in the community and Elkdom. As a nonprofit, all money we raise supports veterans, youth and community. The Elks purchased this property in 1917 from the Julian Richards estate. The building was one of the finest oil residences in the city, being well-constructed and large enough to accommodate the lodge temporarily. The building was remodeled to accommodate a ballroom; members bar and card room and billiard room. In the basement there were four bowling alleys, a gymnasium, grill, kitchen and serving pantry, along with showers, lockers and the boiler rooms. The building was dedicated with a cornerstone in 1924, the year the Elks started using it as their Lodge.
