The Narrative by Jarrod Rigby (Photo + Video)

5.0

Venice, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves New Plymouth, ID

Hey future newlyweds! I'm Jarrod, a wedding photographer that specializes in story telling. Tired of all the bright, overposed, cookie cutter sh*t you keep seeing? Let's create wedding images with real emotion, story, and intention to them. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward. That's why I choose not to pose couples, but instead prompt you to do something like "take off your shoes and run across the field" or " get inside the car and kiss everywhere except the lips". These prompts will help you feel comfortable and also help create candid images. Check out my website for more info :)

Jarrod and his wife, Taylor, are truly a dream to work with! My husband and I really wanted some simple engagement photos taken, but were reluctant because we’re not totally comfortable in front of the camera and didn’t want the poses/photos to look cheesy. Taylor gave us plenty of suggestions to pose us naturally and kept us laughing which put us at ease immediately. Jarrod was such a professional and really worked every angle and background to make it look like we spent an entire day shooting. The editing was super crisp and clean and the photos came back incredibly quickly. They far exceeded our expectations and we can’t thank them enough for giving us beautiful, lasting memories from such an important time in our lives. This couple is seriously amazing - genuine, fun, and experts at what they do!! Book them!

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Leah photographed our wedding at my family's property in Napa Valley, June 2024. Leah took lots of time to scope out the location and seemed to be absolutely *everywhere* during the wedding, at all the right moments. I didn't have to call her over once, because she was already there. She captured the emotions of the day, the little moments, the big moments, and made our day look like the fairytale wedding that it felt like. Once we got the photo gallery back (so quickly!) we relived the day all over again. We were tearing up and laughing at all the photos. I felt like I was looking at photos from a Brides magazine, but it was me! Another thing I'll mention is that Leah gives direction in a kind, calm and encouraging way. My husband is not too confident in photos and he felt SO comfortable posing with her there, and loves his photos too! I felt like she could guide me into more flattering poses when I felt uncertain about my angles. I love Leah and her work and would recommend her to anyone!

Lindsey Paradiso Photography

Seattle, WA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

Like most children in the late 90's and early 00's, I grew up with a camera in my hand. I went through polaroids, video cameras, disposable cameras, waterproof cameras, and film cameras; all the cameras! I was so fascinated by photography and the ability to preserve moments. I'm an ENFP, 7w6, and extroverted-introvert who is not only thrilled but humbled to be a witness and historian to the significant moments in your life we are able to share together!

Lindsey is the best decision we made for our wedding. We knew choosing our photographer was important, and while we initially picked her based off her photography style and the art she created for weddings, what we ended up with was so much more. She wrangled our scatter brained families, she kept everyone on track, and she always looked out for US. She was exactly as direct and forceful as our families required, without ruffling any feathers. She was professional, kind, and an over all rockstar. During the ceremony I caught a glimpse of her literally sprinting around with her camera in unforgiving heat. Lindsey gave it her all, for 10 hours straight, just to make sure we had memories of our special day. The day after our wedding Lindsey's name came up multiple time amongst our family and friends, always followed by the words "awesome" "amazing" "incredible". I never want to plan a wedding again, but if I did my first call would be to Lindsey.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Justina as our wedding photographer, and she exceeded all of our expectations! Just looking at her work, we knew she was the one. From our first meeting, it was clear that Justina possesses incredible talent and a true passion for her craft. Her ability to capture the essence of every moment is unmatched. Throughout the planning process, Justina was exceptional in her communication. She took the time to understand our vision, preferences, and any specific shots we wanted. Her responsiveness and professionalism made us feel confident and relaxed, knowing we were in great hands. On our wedding day, Justina went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and creative approach were evident in every shot. She managed to capture not just the big moments but also the candid, heartfelt interactions that made our day so special (and were a huge priority to us). Her warm and friendly demeanor made it easy for us and our guests to feel comfortable in front of the camera. When we received the final photos, we were blown away by the quality and artistry. Each image was a masterpiece, reflecting the joy, love, and excitement of our celebration - my husband and I both got emotional going through them together. I truly never expected to see such joy captured in every moment of our day, and I am so grateful. Justina has a remarkable ability to tell a story through her lens, and we will cherish these memories forever. How lucky are we to have found her! If you're looking for a photographer who is not only incredibly talented but also genuinely cares about making your day unforgettable, Justina is the one. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

We're Natasha and Brian! A husband and wife, PNW elopement photographer duo. When we're not getting slimed by our own slobbery dog Fern, or helping you plan your dream wedding day, you can probably find us alpine lake lounging, making a weird new kimchi flavor, or deep on the forestry roads in our (always dirty) Tacoma blasting some indie alt or rap (there's rarely an in between lol). We're your photographers, die-hard dog petters, and donut-eaters that are all about playful banter, real conversations, and no icky small talk.

For me and my now-husband Ryan, the importance of finding an excellent wedding photographer was unparalleled. We discovered Natasha and immediately were drawn to the nostalgic, film quality to her work. We love the way she captures moments that feel both so real and so dreamy at the same time. It’s an art! Additionally, correspondence with Natasha was always a pleasure. She was speedy in her responses, always answered any questions, and just extremely down-to-earth and easy going. Our introduction to working with Natasha came from our winter engagement session. We chose to do the shoot at home and around our neighborhood in Seattle. Though we were still nervous in front of the camera, Natasha chatted with us and helped us open up. The photos from this December day were cozy, comfortable, and felt completely like us! And finally the Big Day arrived! Natasha and Brian photographed our July 2023 wedding and the results were just perfect - more lovely than we could have dreamed. On top of that, we loved getting to hang out with them! They made our wedding day feel calmer, more relaxed, and allowed us to just be us. We highly recommend Natasha and Brian for all your engagement and wedding photography needs. They’re the best!

Hi, I'm Alexx! I grew up in San Diego and went to school in Malibu to study media production & math (I know, weird combo). Since then, I've lived in both Point Loma in SD and in West LA, so I'm always popping around all of SoCal! I absolutely adore weddings for the love, celebration, joy, and romance, so I want to make sure those are your main feelings throughout the day! What that means is I will always remain a calm presence in the chaos to help keep you grounded, but also blend into the background to give you space to just experience your day!

I don't even know where to begin. Alexx was hands down the best photographer we could have asked for. From the start she was supper communicative and within a day of inquiry, we had set up a time to chat and get acquainted. She is incredibly professional, but still super personable! We had so much fun with her at our engagement shoot, and the photos were INCREDIBLE. Her style is so organic and she makes you feel very comfortable from the start. She gave us so many tips leading up to the wedding about what to have ready for her and at what time, while still being super flexible with us if we needed to adapt. Day of with her was a breeze, too! She lead us through all of our photos and we wrapped up family photos quickly enough thanks to her that we were able to spend more time with our guests/family before the reception which was amazing! She had our previews to us within a few days and we are OBSESSED with every photo!! We cannot wait to see the full gallery :) Thank you so much for everything, Alexx!!!

AYOOOOO!!! i’m madeline-- a 20 something old, introverted until you can’t get me to shut up, dog lovin, taco eatin, thrift shop fiendin, adventure seekin, hot mess of a human who fell in love with a camera many years ago. i love hard and deeply, never been too big a fan of stress, and really just believe we were all put on this little floating globe to have one hell of a good time. i'm happiest when surrounded by nature, snuggled up at home with my love and our pups, or creating art out of real life love stories. i find inspiration in all of life's little in-between moments, the way the golden light filters through trees, and big belly laughs

Madeline is amazing! We LOVED Working with Madeline! When looking for a wedding photographer, we were impressed with Madeline's portfolio because her photos are all absolutely stunning and show that she can adapt to different couples' styles. However, what sealed the deal was her amazing personality. We wanted to hire a photographer we felt comfortable with, and Madeline is so sweet and hilariously funny. She made us feel so at ease! On our wedding day, Madeline and her husband, her second shooter, Brian, were SO on top of everything. They acted as our north stars, guiding us through the night. They knew where we needed to go, what we needed to be doing, who we needed to take pics with, everything! They knew how to handle weird family dynamics without missing a beat and even brought us water! Plus, they did all of this while making us laugh. Our wedding was amazing, and I don't know how we could have done it without them! And the photos turned out beautifully! We definitely made the right decision in hiring Madeline.
