Imagine your ceremony overlooking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills, a sunset cocktail reception on the lakefront lawn, and a gorgeous ballroom with arched windows allowing natural light and stunning views of the shimmering lake. Crystal chandeliers adorn the ballroom and cast a warm glow over the festivities. Our event team has more than 20 years of experience on property and will design a beautiful celebration for you and your partner. Led by our Executive Chef and in-house culinary team, the reception package offers a five-hour event with a premium open bar, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour stations, plated dinner or dinner stations, tiered cake and coffee. Situated on 310 picturesque acres on Quaker Hill in the center of the Hudson Valley, Akindale offers a backdrop of rolling hills, herds of stunning racehorses, incredible vistas, and a wealth of different locations on the property to suit your special event. Akindale is not a typical wedding venue; but it is an exceptional place for your wedding. Our core mission is to rescue and care for retired Thoroughbred racehorses and we have over 120 on site. We are working farm, not a manufactured showplace. Therein lies our natural beauty. We welcome all types of ceremonies, and respect individual creativity. As a nonprofit, we are able to fund our work with the horses through offering our spaces and as such, your location fee will be completely tax-deductible.
