CARSTEN & LEIGH ARE AWESOME!!!!! HIRE THEM!!!!! 1 - they're amazing people & they really care about their weddings 2 - they are EXPERTS. they choreographed our entire wedding day, they wrangled our loveable, but unruly bridal party, and our photos are INCREDIBLE. 3 - they go above and beyond. Leigh RESCUED the Best Man's speech when he had forgotten his phone at his Airbnb 40 minutes away from the venue. If you are in the throes of the cost-benefit analysis of deciding which vendors are worth it and which are not, Visual Arts Wedding Photography is WORTH EVERY PENNY. We will treasure the photos they captured forever

I present fun, elegant, and exciting Wedding Photography for my clients. My style is photojournalistic; I feel it's the most effective way to tell a story. After all, there is so much happening on a wedding day. Between the ceremony, dancing, and endless extravaganzas, the most memorable moments will naturally occur.  My goal is to capture the emotions and memories of your day through my lens. These recollections are your forever keepsakes, a chapter of your life's story. Every image accounts for those who were by your side, delighted for you, and the next step in your journey. I appreciate you for giving me a few moments of your time.t

My partner and I hired Sean for our engagement photos and we were extremely impressed! He was super helpful in helping us pose and very skilled in the ways he used lighting to capture our best features. He captured really genuine moments with such skill. He also made sure the job was well done and he got all the photos that we could have wanted. We had a blast working with him! The photos are stunning and I genuinely can’t stop looking at them! My partner and I tend to feel awkward getting our picture taken but Sean created such a comfortable space for us. We would highly recommend booking Sean.

Sokol & Co Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style

Here's what you should know: First, it's pronounced Sokol like 'vocal'. We're Polish... like kraut-and-pierogi-at-every-family-gathering-Polish. Second, we're a husband and wife wedding photography duo that believes it's the little things that make the story come to life. From the knowing glances across a crowded room to the hand squeezes when you're about to walk down the aisle, you can trust us to capture your most romantic, candid moments.

Savanah and Andrew are two of the sweetest souls with an eye for every picture you could possibly need. From our first discover call until the big day, everything was handled with ease. Pictures can be awkward but they make it comfortable! They also think of all the small details you’d want but don’t think of. If our big day didn’t fit in their schedule, we would’ve moved it to fit on theirs. My pictures turned out better than I could’ve expected and I got sneaks right away. Everything was 10/10 and I couldn’t be more grateful they were a part of my special day.

Not only does she take the most gorgeous photos, but she is so kind, fun, easy to work with, and made us feel so comfortable during our Engagement session and on our Wedding day. Our friends and family have also commented on how beautiful her photos are, and our large bridal party have had so many kind things to say about their experience with Amberly after our wedding. We loved our experience working with Amberly and absolutely plan on using her for any other photos we need in the future!!

You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

Awarded Best of Zola
Abby wasn’t able to travel to my wedding but she sent her assistants and she edited the photos. It went absolutely perfect. The photos were beautiful and I got so many meaningful photos with my family and his family that I wouldn’t have thought to get. I sent her draft of a timeline and the photographers printed it out and had it to make sure the photos I wanted got done. They were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much to Abby and her team.

Empowering You Photography

I'm Emily - a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer set on capturing intimate, joyful, authentic, & emotional photos. I want you to look back on your wedding photos not just love the way they look, but I want you to remember what the moment felt like. My hope is for you to feel the way your loved one hugged you as they gave you away, to laugh as you look back at the best man giving his speech...every captured moment has a feeling. I will do my best to stop those moments in time for you to experience forever. I am witty, goofy, sarcastic, open-minded, & honest. I will be your ultimate third wheel.

Awarded Best of Zola
If I could go up to everyone to suggest Emily til my lungs gave out, I would. We used her for our engagement photos and wedding photos, and I want to use her for all my life events. Her photos are obviously what drew me in at first, but once I met her, it was her personality. She is so bright, she makes you feel like you're her new best friend. She is fun, energetic, and efficient (which we love, since my husband hates photos). Emily not only acted as my photographer the day of my wedding, but was also my hype woman, and support person. She made me feel calm in the chaos. She made me feel beautiful. I think when you are a beautiful person inside and out like her, it's an easy thing to do. You know you have a gem when everyone is coming up to you to tell you how "your photographer is so awesome". She captured some of the most beautiful, vulnerable, moments during that day and turned them into a story and I love that she could be apart of such a special day.

Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is not enough good things we can say about Sarah! From day 1, she had great communication before the proposal while deciding the perfect location and how we would meet up with her. She executed flawlessly and I never saw her until the ring was on my finger even though she followed us for a bit before the big moment. She made us feel so comfortable for the photoshoot after and was willing to go to a few different spots with us all while carrying all of our stuff so it wouldn’t be in our pockets for the pictures. We received the sneak peeks the next day and were blown away with how well they turned out, she nailed it!! She got the big “I do” moment which was most important and then captured so many other sweet moments right before and after that I will forever be so grateful we can relive because of her photos. The best thing about her is that you can feel the joy coming out of the screen when you look through her galleries. So many people have raved over how well our engagement photos turned out. Everyone should book Sarah, she is so great at what she does!!

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
We discovered Leah on Zola, and right from our first conversation, we knew she was the one. Her experience and artistic eye were exactly what we wanted to capture our dream wedding. Leah made the whole process stress-free with her clear communication and warm personality. On the big day, Leah walked into a whirlwind of activity, but she calmly focused and started capturing the magic. She helped me stay relaxed and assured me everything would be perfect – I'll never forget that. Leah's photos are simply breathtaking. She's a true artist who captured every detail just as I imagined. She made sure we had time for portraits, but also caught those spontaneous, joyful moments that made our day so special. We are beyond thrilled with the photos Leah delivered. The cherry on top was seeing how excited Leah was at the wedding – she even quickly edited a photo on the spot! It showed she was genuinely invested in our happiness. Can't wait to work with Leah again for our future big life-moments!

Salty Broad Studios

Since 2018, Christine has been documenting weddings as Salty Broad Studios. She is an award-winning photographer who stands out from the rest with her moment-driven approach, top shelf organization skills and thoughtful communication. Christine has worked as a photographer for her entire career–that’s 20 years of professional picture taking! She is known for her fun personality and unflappable demeanor. With Salty Broad Studios, you can rest assured that your moments are in capable hands so you can relax and enjoy your wedding day to the absolute fullest.

Awarded Best of Zola
Salty Broad (Christine) was an amazing vendor to work with. She was easy to contact, responsive, and warm. Always professional. She handled my family his family **amazing** on the day of (a feat!), organized multiple second shooters after one dropped out, helped us get coverage of our rehearsal dinner, provided TONS of great recommendations for other vendors - as we were planning our wedding from out of state this was irreplaceable and generous (she recommended our welcome drinks food truck, menu items at our venue, hotels (literally helped us secure our waterfront room), DJ etc.). I really can't say enough good things. Christine's photography style captured the mood of our wedding day. When I look back at the photos, I remember what it ** felt like ** on the day of the wedding, and she captures the laughs/ tears/ joy and emotions of the day better than any other wedding photographer we've seen (and we've been to loads of weddings/ seen tons of photos). If you want to capture the *feel* of the day - more so than have particularly staged photos or heavy edits- this is definitely the choice. No regrets on not having videographer for this exact reason - when I look at her photos I can really feel the day. She was on time for everything, thought of everything, was good-humored, and *IMPORTANT* calming & easy to be around (day of that ended up mattering a LOT). afterwards she got us our sneak peaks in a timely manner, photos in a timely manner (despite us getting married at the literal peak of wedding season) and we recently received an absolutely stunning wedding album that we will CHERISH forever. I really can't emphasize enough how important it ended up being for me that the photos remind me of what it felt like to be there on the day, more so than that everyone is posed in a certain way or edited into oblivion. Our whole family has commented on how special that aspect is and it means so much. 100/10 recommend Christine.

Swoyer Photography

5.0

  • Serves Mountain Home, NC for additional fees

I love what I do. I found my way to professional photography in a roundabout way, having started my working career as a marine scientist and environmental educator in CA and then on Maui. After years immersed in the ocean and hundreds of hours spent underwater, I realized that I was happiest on days when I could adventure freely with a camera in hand. The drive to learn more and become a better photographer lead me back to school on the east coast, where I ended up finding a new dream career and a home and community that I love.

We reached out to several photographers in 2019 after we got engaged. Ultimately we chose to work with Laura because she was incredibly kind and flexible right off the bat; after looking at previews of her work, it was strikingly clear that she was experienced and knew exactly what she was doing. It was an easy decision for us to make. She immediately offered to do an engagement photo shoot with us and brought us to some beautiful spots in the Fall of 2019. We met at an apple orchard first and then went on a hike together. This gave us a chance to get to know each other better and we quickly realized we made the right choice working with her. She turned around the photos very fast. Laura also gave us a lot of help and perspective about wedding planning based on her experience which we greatly appreciated, she was very consultative and helpful in that way. Then in 2020 the pandemic arrived and she was extremely flexible and consistently professional in her communication with us. We really respected that especially considering how stressful it must be as a professional photographer during these uncertain & strange times. In July 2021 we were finally able to pull off our wedding and Laura was again extremely helpful in advising us in the timeline of our day and made sure that we got every single photo we wanted. She showed up well in advance and her husband Mike was helping out as her assistant. They stuck by our sides and were incredibly supportive but also took initiative in getting creative with their suggestions and managed to capture the most powerful moments. Finally, their execution and delivery was outstanding. We were truly blown away by the beauty of their work and could not have been more satisfied. If you are looking for a skilled, professional, helpful, kind, fun photography team you should book Swoyer photography. We will always think of Laura and Mike as we reflect on our wedding day for the rest of our lives!

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

Awarded Best of Zola
Diana was absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend her to anyone with no hesitation. From initial contact on, Diana was understanding of our concerns, given that we had had an issue with a previous photographer, and truly worked to reassure us and gain our trust. She was flexible, so positive and personable and of course, the photos we’ve seen so far are absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to see the rest. Our friends and family raved about Diana and her assistant Sarah, and told us how wonderful and friendly they were, that they felt like they were really on top of it, addressed any concerns that they had and just overall were an absolute pleasure to be around and had such a positive impact on our day. If you’re reading this and are on the fence about hiring Diana, which I don’t understand how you could be, let this be your sign to work with her. You will have no regrets and you will absolutely love your photos!
