My family has always told me that I have a special knack for bringing out the beauty in everything. I put my talents to work and in 2015, I established Alissa Jean Photography! I love blending light and vibrance to create a glowing atmosphere around my client’s most memorable moments. My most favorite moments to capture are golden hour photos! In the glow and flow of a bright sunset, I can really highlight the passion present in any couples eyes and every client’s smile. Living in East Tennessee provides the perfect backdrop for my work. I love creating timeless portraits that capture the true feeling and charm to any moment!

I provide a unique experience from the first interactions with my clients. I have a posing method I teach you at the engagement session to ensure we get the most out of our time during bride + groom portraits on your wedding day! I provide a good mix of posing & prompting to help ensure we get natural & genuine laughter and smiles. I also have a very secure way of protecting your memories. I shoot on dual card-slot cameras, meaning I have a second copy of every photograph I take. Then when I get back to my office, I put the images in four different places, physically and digitally, to make sure your memories are safe. It's my top priority!

Alissa was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding photography. No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 6+ years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my contracted associate photographer. I'll still be your main point of contact, and I'll be editing everything. This is a rare occasion but I am prepared in the event it is necessary.

All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. However, I "cull" out the duplicates, the ones with closed eyes, the ones that aren't sharp, etc. You won't want those anyways, but you do get all of the good ones! I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Sometimes! My third wedding package comes with a second photographer, and you can add it onto any package. Sometimes I bring an assistant if I feel I need one, at no cost to you!

My turnaround time varies by season. Once your wedding is finished, I will provide a hefty sneak peek to hold you over. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-10 weeks after your wedding, depending on what time of year it is. After your gallery is delivered, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

You can expect around 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. For example, if you book me for 7 hours, you can expect around 700 images. I will let you in on a little secret though, I tend to over-shoot & over-deliver! But I like to provide a starting "basis" on what you can expect.
