Haverlee Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

I’m Haverlee, (hay-verlee), solo parent of three wild things. My photography career was birthed from many years of pain. My life derailed and everything felt unstable and uncertain. The more difficult things became, the more I clung to small moments of beauty. When things felt dark, I clung to the light. And I could always find light in people and in nature. Focusing on others instead of my own dark days brought me joy every time without fail. I always knew I was creative but it took me a while to find my niche! As I ventured into photography, everything fell into place. It was as if I already knew the language, I just had to find the words.

Awarded Best of Zola
Haverlee was the best decision we made for our wedding. She has such a calm and kind presence and truly wants to capture the emotions of the day. Looking at the pictures she took, I am put right back into the moment. She has an eye for the most beautiful, non-forced, shots. She was also so helpful with creating a timeline and making sure we got all the pictures we wanted. We loved our engagement and wedding pictures and cannot wait to see more!! I recommend her to everyone and hope to get to work with her again in the future!

  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

Hi, I’m Rivkah, I three beautiful boys–Laef, Atlas and Oslo. I have a background in art, music, and wedding fashion and apparel, and I’ve been a wedding photographer for over a decade. More than anything, I’m a mom and I love it. In fact, I only commit to around twelve weddings per year to ensure I give my family, and my clients, the attention they deserve.

Awarded Best of Zola
From day one our experience with Rivkah was exceptional! I have admired her work for years and always dreamed that she would photograph my wedding one day. When it was time for engagement photos, my fiancé knew how much I loved her work so we booked a session with her. We went to Virginia and not only did we have the best time hanging with her, our photos turned out stunning! There was no question when it came time to book our wedding photographer who it would be. She met with us before the wedding to go over things & just encourage us. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly, her and her assistant not only gave us beautiful photos but they were so helpful too! Every one of our guests commented how kind they were & how it seemed like they got shots of every moment that day. Rivkah is the sweetest, most calming soul which is what you want on such a big day. She brings so much warmth, peace & light to your day while being a friend you can turn to in those big moments. When we received our photos, I didn’t think I could love one more until I saw the next! The photos tell the story of your day/session and are truly magazine worthy. Her work is beautiful and truly could make you cry with how stunning each photo is. She has such a gift & if you get the chance to experience it, do it. You won’t regret it. She made our dreams come true.

Shutter & Sound

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,600
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

Hi! Courtney here (that's me on the left!). Shutter and Sound is the brainchild of renowned wedding videographer Ryan Geldermann. Ryan began his wedding videography career in 2010 in Los Angeles and quickly became recognized as one of the top videographers in the U.S.. After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. Shutter and Sound is a very small group of filmmakers dedicated to turning your big day into a work of art.

I recently used Shutter & Sound for my wedding and they were fantastic! The team was super friendly and really skilled at capturing all the important moments without being intrusive. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors which made everything go smoothly. When we got our photos and videos back, we were blown away by the quality and how they managed to capture the feel of our special day perfectly. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch wedding photography and videography!

Nick Levine Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

I’m an Asheville-based photographer and lover of the great outdoors, home cooked meals, hot summer days, and going on adventures. I’m weird (aren’t we all?), but I’m unapologetically myself, and I am obsessed with my job and this life I am so blessed to live. I've worked with some awesome couples, and maybe you're the next!

Awarded Best of Zola
Nick is a gem!! We are so thankful that he photographed our wedding. My partner and I had a lot of requests, and Nick accommodated them all while never making us feel difficult. He listened carefully to what was important to us - for my husband it was not stopping the party to take pictures and for me it was LOTS of candids of our loved ones. Somehow Nick made it happen!! We got gorgeous photos of the two of us just being ourselves with each other and amazing dance floor shots of our guests having the best time! With no posing!! The colors in the photos are fantastic -- even though Nick does AMAZING work outdoors he makes indoor photography feel just as special. Nick made a special effort to take a lot of photos of my grandparents and our parents specifically which we will treasure in years to come. Our friends said that the photos "look like how the day felt" which felt so right. We were amazed by how many micro moments between guests Nick captured!! Reliving the day via the photos is now my favorite past time. To top it all off, Nick was incredibly kind and calm throughout the day. Everyone in our families raved about how nice our photographer was. He worked with our coordinator for our timeline to run on schedule without ever making us feel rushed. We got to be fully present all day long. It was the exact energy you want by your side throughout your wedding. If we could change one thing it would have been having Nick for more time!!

Adrian Etheridge Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,900
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. My mom gave me an old film camera sometime around 5th grade thinking offhand that I might be interested in yet another art form and boy was she ever right. From then on, I've always had a camera in my hand, documenting anything and everything. Photography has been not only my chosen form of expression for over half my lifetime, but my way of learning about the world, of getting to know people, and even of getting to know myself.

Awarded Best of Zola
Adrian is amazing! I cannot recommend her enough, especially if you're a couple that is awkward in front of a camera! We hired her for our wedding in Asheville, and she came to us in Raleigh for our engagement session. She made us feel really comfortable and didn't try to make us do any "unnatural" poses; over the engagement session, she found what worked for us, and brought out more of that! She was also very patient with our dog who did not want to cooperate at all, and still managed to get some great action shots of him! The day of our wedding, it poured! She was such a trooper about quickly moving outside when the sun poked out, and back in when the skies opened up. And when everyone hit the dance floor, she got the best personality pics of our loved ones. She was so patient with us, and everything we needed as two individuals who originally did not feel comfortable in front of the camera!

I believe your photos should have a timeless feel, full of your real emotions. I’m here to guide you every step of the way for a stress free experience. All the way from timeline planning to guiding you behind the camera, I’m here for you. 🌿

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the most wonderful experiences with Laren! We wanted our wedding photos to look timeless and classic. She gave us just what we were hoping for and captured our day exactly as we remembered it. She went above and beyond shooting our bride and groom portraits to follow! We had originally planned to take pictures the day following our wedding on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but when we arrived at our destination, it was 39 degrees and windy. After taking a few photos, Laren offered that we come back during a warmer time to take the pictures at no additional charge. The photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY!! There were so many good ones that we had a difficult time deciding which photos to print for our home. Laren has such a warm and encouraging personality that made my husband and me feel very comfortable from the get go. You will love your photos by her guaranteed!

Daniela Guerrero Photography

I'm a visual artist, when I have my camera I'm in my happy place, I'm dedicated in studying the elements that have come together for each moment to happen, finding ways to play with composition is my passion, and delivering images that will take your breath away, is my goal. I believe it is important for my clients to know me and have a glimpse into my world, my interests and passions. It creates a stronger bond between photographer and client. After all, I'm not just a photographer. I"m a mother, a friend, a wife and another human walking this path alongside you.

My wife and I first learned of Daniela while thumbing through promotional materials for a wedding venue in which various local photographers helped to capture its essence. Each photo was beautiful, but there was something particularly captivating and exquisite about a number of them. They were vibrant, rich, layered, and told a story. We had to know who was behind the lens. It was Daniela. When we first met her, we knew we had our photographer! Daniela's stunning photography, thoughtful organization, candid approach, and undeniable artistic vision is matched by her easy-going, fun, and trustworthy demeanor. Daniela photographed both our engagement session and our wedding, and it felt like being with a friend each time. And, of course, the photographs were extraordinarily STUNNING. She has an indescribable gift for capturing "the moment" and in times when you wouldn't even expect there to be a moment. We could not recommend her enough!!!

Hi! We're Julie and Rad. We met in Vietnam in 2016, and have lived in eight countries together since then. During our time abroad we've had plenty of adventures, seen incredible wildlife, eaten a lot of wonderful food, and honed our photography skills. We also got married in 2020! Planning a wedding during a pandemic involved an unusual set of challenges. Although our guest count was a little smaller than we originally anticipated-- the day could not have been more perfect. This was made possible only because we hired and trusted the right people. We try to instill the same trust so you can enjoy your day!

Simply Amazing! We had our engagement shoot at the Biltmore estate and it was nothing short of magical. Julie was able to capture exactly what I wanted the pictures to look like. She is a joy to work with and helped us feel relaxed and at ease. I can’t stop looking at my pictures and everyone that lays eyes on them is OBSESSED! They take your pictures and capture who you are but also make it look like a beautiful piece of art. I simply cannot say enough good things!

Lacey Renae Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

Lacey is a world-travelled photographer originally from the midwest. This is a woman and Vet owned business. Her strength is primarily about seeing- the composition, the light, the dynamics between the people she is photographing. Portraits have a lean toward that as well, with a push toward the bonds between people. By working to get clients to interact, the images made reflect the connection between individuals as well as the self.

We got married 2.5 years ago on the beach, which is where we had met 4 years before that. Lacey was truly one of the great choices of the day. Before she arrived she began helping us plan and think of details we could not anticipate. Her experience and professionalism really showed before, during and after, but one thing not anticipated and so blessed by was her friendly, easy-going enthusiasm. No matter the weather changes, the mic malfunction from our DJ/friend, or even things going late- she was supportive and helpful. We had a small house-warming reception afterward. Seeing her dance while taking photographs was fun and helped her blend right in with everyone. I still have friends asking me to give recommendations for photographers, and I'll tell them about Lacey every time. A great choice!

The Jungle Branch

  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

The Jungle Branch offers an authentic, refreshing approach to wedding photography and is paired best with folks who wish to remain present in the moments throughout one of the most important days in their lives. With an artistically stylized and candid approach, my goal is to not only tell your story in its truest form, but to encourage you to fully live your day, allowing yourself to experience the calamity of joy with your loved ones without photography feeling like a production.

Working with Mike was an absolute dream. My partner and I are not people who feel comfortable in front of a camera. Mike completely changed that - although we had never met in person before, Mike felt like an old friend. He had the utmost patience in dealing with our wild family members before we arrived and captured every moment completely perfectly. Mike was so intentional about every shot and was incredible about getting all of the nature-inspired, detail-oriented shots that I wanted. Every time I look back at my wedding album, I'm brought to joyful tears just seeing how perfectly captured every raw emotion was. At our reception, guests couldn't stop raving about how personable and easy to work with Mike was. We had a very "free-flowing" party and Mike was able to round-up everyone and get all of our needed family and friend shots - an impossible task! My partner and I just don't have enough good things to say about the entire experience, Mike as a person, and the beautiful pictures that we ended up with. I look back on our photos and know that I will forever have memories of the moody, "Pinterest-board-inspired" wedding of my dreams!

"Passionate" doesn't really begin to describe how I feel about being a photographer. It's more like, who I am as a person. Photographs are able to speak a million words in a moment when words may fail. After photographing 200+ couples of all shapes, sizes, & colors -- I can still say it is my favourite thing to do in the universe. People are my JAM! I love people & their wonderful uniqueness. When two people get together in a thing called "love"? Well, I just can't help but want to be a part of it! Capturing those obvious or subtle displays of affection between two people in true, heartfelt love is as necessary as oxygen in my lungs.

As a local wedding planner it is so important to have a professional, experienced, and charismatic photographer on the team! Planners and photographers work together to make sure your day goes smoothly and all those special moments are captured. Regina is a great team mate and a huge asset to any wedding day! She knows exactly what she is doing and her work is unbelievable. I highly recommend her for your wedding day. We have a passion for telling your love story via imagery. Our style is classic, romantic and joyful. We are based in Asheville, North Carolina but travel to many wonderful locations. We specialize in working with joyful couples in love!

We could not recommend Natasha more. From the moment we found her, we knew we were in the right hands. She met with us via Zoom regularly leading up to the wedding. Anytime we reached out with a question, she was ready to set up a time to chat and make sure we felt confident and prepared. She had great recommendations, was knowledgable about the area, and sent incredibly helpful bride and groom guides (these even helped us to make some really important decisions that changed the way we planned our wedding day!). Natasha connected with our videographer in advance to make sure they would be on the same page and work well together, which they most definitely did! Her and her husband, Al, showed up early the day of the wedding and worked together seamlessly. In their company, I felt immediately comfortable to be myself, to make jokes, to go with the flow. Before reading the bride guide provided by Natasha, we were planning to have a first touch but not a first look. After reading Natasha’s thoughts and experience of first looks, we were convinced. Our first look was the perfect moment for us to connect, release our anxieties, and remember the real purpose of the day. We were able to have plenty of space between ourselves and the camera and truly felt like we were alone enjoying the moment. This was one of the major highlights of our day, and the photos show it. As the day pressed on, Natasha was the perfect photographer and director that we needed. I had asked that she feel comfortable to be as bossy as necessary to capture the perfect pictures. I had experiences before where I ended up hating my positioning, posture, or the distance between people in wedding photos. She handled this job with grace and the perfect amount of discipline. Everyone listened to her, and the fun, joking energy continued. During our ceremony, I was able to release any stiffness and be myself. We had the least stiff ceremony I’ve ever attended, and it was a true representation of who we are and the love we share. I believe this was due to our comfort level provided by the photography team of Natasha and Al, as well as the relationship she established from the start with our videography team. It didn’t feel like we were being watched by extra “staff”, they felt like they were meant to be there. And honestly, I could barely tell they were there half the time! During the ceremony, I had no idea they were getting the shots and angles they captured! While I awaited the photo album, I honestly thought we were going to be missing some of the angles I had dreamt of because I never saw them taking them. As soon as I saw the album I was SHOCKED to see that they had been there all along, capturing my husband's face as he cried for my entry, capturing the guest’s reactions, capturing it all. If you are considering hiring Natasha, please stop hesitating and book her. You will NOT regret it. In fact, as soon as you reach out to chat with her, you will feel at ease, in the best hands you could be in, and like considering anyone else would be a mistake. From speaking to her on our consult call, chatting leading up to the day to create a perfect day of schedule, working with her the day of our wedding, and spending a stunning sunrise capturing our love once again, we were in awe at her professionalism, ability to feel like a friend, and STUNNING end product.
