Second to saying yes, hiring the Duchess of Denver was the best wedding decision we made! From spending hours truly getting to know us, to having all the right connections, to gracefully navigating a weather pivot on our wedding day, Alex surpassed every expectation. My husband and I knew we wanted to create a unique, beautiful wedding experience that we, our family and friends would cherish and remember. We’d wanted elements of a traditional wedding weekend but one that felt fun and not like every other wedding we’d been to. We also knew that, as a busy engineer and lawyer, we had very little knowledge about what goes into a great wedding and very little time or desire to learn the intricacies of “the perfect wedding.” Alex spent hours asking probing and fun questions. He really got to know our visions, desires and quirks. There were so many times when we said things like “we want a dinner the night before, but not a typical rehearsal reception with people standing around at hightop in a bland conference room.” He absorbed all of it and turned it into a fabulous weekend. Alex’s encyclopedic knowledge about James and Rebecca was invaluable when my work got super crazy a few months before the wedding. When I told Alex that I could do big decisions, but the little ones, like choosing ribbon color or envelopes for invitations, were hurting my brain, Alex stepped in and planned everything based on what he knew about us. Alex found us a breathtaking space in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, he coordinated flowers to match my colorful dress, helped pick perfect delicious meal stations that suited a variety of dietary needs, organized the music and stayed on top of the hotel until their 3,000 square foot Parker suite opened up. Alex interviewed and found the best make-up artist, designed hand calligraphed journals for our guests, and created guest bags that with fun and useful things. I could go on and on! Alex’s management of every detail meant the weekend ran smoothly and everyone was happy! He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. So many of our friends and family have said that ours was one of the best weddings they’d ever attended. Ok, ok, maybe they have to say that, but in this case, I think it’s probably true! We would recommend Alex to any couple, especially successful professionals who want to create a first class, memorable experience (but might now have the first clue of how do to it).

I was truly in awe of how my event turned out. Donna of DBC Eventz INC. did an amazing job bringing the vision to life. Donna went above and beyond finding intricate items that went with the theme and thought outside the box with the decorations. The entire space was decorated beautifully from top to bottom. Donna understood the assignment and took it to the next level. Donna included me and kept me up to date on where she was with the status of my party. Donna even assisted me with finding the right person to make a cake, DJ the event and take pictures and videos at the event. I was able to have an entrance area, seat all my guest comfortably, have a dance floor, a bar and a separate food area. I will definitely be using DBC Eventz Inc. for my future events.

Kaity did a great job, especially considering all the uncertainty of bad weather (my ceremony was outdoors) we had to all deal with. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude the whole time, which I know can be very difficult to do around my family. She definitely would just roll with all the punches to keep us on track. I was anxious the entire day, but Kaity reassured me that she had everything under control and I knew I could trust her. She even went out of her way to get me and my husband little care packages on the day of, with inspiring notes. The only hiccups I actually noticed was with announcements and speeches, because the volume and echo was not great, so people didn't know when things were actually happening, so I wish we could've told the DJ sooner to fix the issue. We had also wanted to have our dinners boxed up, because my husband and I were both too anxious and excited to really eat, so our food ended up being thrown away, plus we didn't receive the top tier of our wedding cake to save for the tradition thing (but my guess is because they served it all to the guests). Unfortunately, at the end of the night, we were super rushed to get everything out of the building, because of the time and the pouring rain- I was running around barefoot in my dress while my husband was passed out in the car, and I was one of the few trying to get everything packed and cleaned up. However, Kaity and her husband really helped us out by collecting all the left items and holding onto them for us until the next day. She kept in contact, since at least a month beforehand, to make sure we had everything in order and sent her all the vendor contacts , so she could be included with all the day-of plans. She really did go above and beyond to make sure I had the best day possible, and I really appreciated that from her. I would definitely hire her again.

Planning a small destination wedding in Key West from Tennessee felt overwhelming, especially with a short timeline and tight budget. But from the moment I found Lynn, everything changed. Within two days, she had secured all our vendors and stayed in constant communication to keep things running smoothly. Then, just when things got stressful—a hurricane hit Florida the day before we were supposed to fly out! Our flight was canceled, and I was panicked. Lynn called me and remained so optimistic! We fell in love with The Gaston the minute we walked through the front door. We knew immediately that would be the venue we went with. The house is so beautifully decorated and there's so much detail every section you look. We loved the idea that it was basically turn-key so that all we needed to worry about were the dinner details and flowers. Adrienne was also very helpful along the way letting us know when it was time to start booking which vendors and making excellent recommendations. The weekend of the wedding, all of the staff was so attentive and helpful to us.

I cannot say thank you enough to Steph! She was absolutely amazing. She was so committed to learning what aspects of the wedding were most important to us and making sure they happened on the day of. For example, we were getting caught up in the dancing and were going to skip the cake cutting. She didn’t push, she just asked, “Are you sure? You told me that this was something that was important to you, so I just want to check”. And I’m so thankful she did that, because it’s one of my favorite wedding moments! She went absolutely above and beyond for us. I am currently in medical school and was so stressed leading up to the wedding, but Steph made me feel like it was possible. She was so organized and wrote out every detail we discussed. She went out of her way to suggest some vendors we were struggling to book last minute, and the list goes on. I cannot recommend Steph enough. She is wonderful and sweet and kind and I cannot believe I found her! We could not have done it without her.

Jeanette from Grand Teton Events is seriously the "wedding whisperer". She really knows what she is doing, and she made our wedding so magical. She was completely and overwhelmingly amazing. Prior to my wedding day she was extremely helpful with finding other vendors who she knew and trusted. Additionally, she helped keep me organized and on task as my husband and I undertook the daunting task of planning a mountain destination wedding. When we arrived at our venue prior to our wedding rehearsal, Jeanette came early and helped me organize all the decor we had lugged from Houston, TX to Victor, ID. She walked us through venue and showed us the best spots for various parts of the wedding (as we were planning from a distance it was hard to do before hand). During the rehearsal she even volunteered to officiate for us when our officiant didn't arrive on time (luckily, he was ok, and it was just an issue with the cell service and extremely/unforeseen roadwork wait times). But her willingness to take any problem and to wipe that problem away is just one of the many reasons my now husband and I absolutely adored her. On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond. I gave her my decor ideas and handed off all the decor to her and she was able to use my stuff and made everything look more incredible than I could have ever imagined. If there were any issues on the day of the wedding, I still haven't heard about them. I literally just relaxed with my bridesmaids, got my hair and makeup done, when I looked out of the window, and everything was done. Which is what every bride DREAMS of for her wedding day.
