Flashback to last year, my fiance and I got engaged on 11/25/22 and scrambled to find a Hudson Valley venue for 2023. We must've looked at 15 venues - some big, some small, some mansions, some farms - we saw it all! Although we met with some amazing venues, we struggled to find one where we didn't feel like just another number. Frustrated, I went back home and decided to look at some photographers photos vs the general 'best hudson valley' venue searches. It was there, in one of the photographers albums, where I found the Bird & Bottle Inn. The beauty of the Inn was captivating, quirky and beautiful. I immediately reached out, connected with Stefania, and my fiance and I saw AND secured the 10/28/23 date just days later on a snowy winter day. The tent wasn't setup, it was a blizzard, but for some reason, the warmth of the staff, beauty of the inside of the inn and our gut feeling led us to make the best decision we could've made for our venue. Working with Evelyn and Stefania at the Bird & Bottle Inn didn't feel like we were planning a wedding with a venue - it felt like we were working with family. Family that cared about our happiness and wanted to make sure every detail was perfect. My fiance and I were not easy - we changed a lot of details, we added a bunch of rentals last minute, we asked probably 100 questions throughout the process and every time we reached out, we were met with ease, sometimes a phone call and even an invite to see our vision in person over the summer vs wait until fall to do the final walkthrough. The day of wedding team met us with the same detail and love as Stefania and Evelyn did throughout the entire process. The food was incredible, the coordination was on point all night and the bartending and signature drinks are still being raved about among our friends and family. Frankly, the entire wedding is still being raved about with many saying this is the best wedding they've ever attended. If you're looking for a wedding venue that feels magical and in a weird way, almost like you're at your own home, then this is your place. We cannot recommend the team, venue and coordinators enough, and we're beyond grateful we chose this special place for our wedding. Thank you to everyone at the Bird & Bottle Inn! Red Maple Vineyard is a dream come true. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew this place was unlike anything else. The details provided upfront gave the most comprehensive understanding of everything this venue would include for the wedding day. We booked our wedding date 2 years in advance. We quickly found our photographer, Sam June who has shot numerous weddings at RMV as a preferred vendor. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Amy VanDetta was incredible at answering countless answers and emails. She was a joy to correspond with. Her kindness, thoroughness and professionalism was always noticed. In our final walk through with Gary, we were put at ease knowing we were in such good hands. Gary always made us feel special as the bride and groom. The entire RMV staff was so warm and inviting, our matrid’ Liz and bridal attendant Angela were both incredible, top star service all around. Our guests RAVED about the food, especially impressed by the cocktail hour passed hors d'oeuvres. Although our wedding day had torrential rain, we were blown away by how special Plan B worked for the ceremony. The entire venue has so many beautiful areas and we felt very lucky there was plenty of indoor space for all our guests to enjoy during all the rain. We look forward to enjoying RMV and RMV Cellars into the future during public events! It feels really special to be part of the RMV family as we began our next chapter as husband and wife.

Hi! We're Jeremiah & Cody. We met working in a music store in 2009 and instantly became like brothers ("Did we just become best friends?" "YUP!"). In 2011, Jeremiah's wife volunteered him to shoot her sister's wedding and he genuinely enjoyed it. So, he began shooting weddings. In 2016, Cody graduated RIT with a Visual Arts degree and was looking for his next move. Luckily for all of us, Jeremiah talked Cody into relocating to the Hudson Valley to help him with his weddings. And here we are! The two of us get really excited to take really cool pictures.

We met Jeremiah based off of a recommendation from someone who had not used him and was upset she didn’t. She had told us that her brother had used him and when she compared her photos to his she was sad she had not found him before her wedding. We met him with a lineup of photographers to meet after and we were not even out of the parking lot after meeting him before we decided to cancel all other appointments and book him right then and there. Jeremiah is the kindest soul we have ever encountered— he is genuinely funny, warm and he listens to everything you say.. and remembers it nearly a year later when you meet with him again before the big day! His personality alone makes him a 10/10 to work with and then you see your photos. He airdropped us five photos before the end of the reception and .. wow.. there is no other word but WOW. He sees the wedding in a way you do not.. he catches the REALNESS of the wedding. The love, the way you look at one another- it all just flows with him and Cody. It brings tears to my eyes writing this because he truly makes sure you get to see yourself the way everyone else does. Cody will go above and beyond (literally SCALING hills and climbing through bushes) to ensure you get shots from different perspectives. They both are awesome and I truly wish we could hang out with them on the regular.. that’s how down to earth and fun they are. Please if you’re reading this and deciding to reach out to him just DO IT! You will not be disappointed and his talent is endless. Corinne (owner and founder of Flora Good Times) took on the flowers for our wedding just as her business was getting off the ground, but you would never know it. Her professionalism, sophistication, and creativity is unmatched. The vision board she created after our first phone call captured the spirit of our style better than my partner and I had articulated, and influenced other design decisions made. When we visited the venue together, she took my abstract thoughts (e.g. I'm thinking purple tablecloths) and brought them to life (e.g. the purple tablecloths work paired with turquoise ones and the right flowers... it sounds crazy, but it was GORGEOUS). The arrangements she created brought the whole event to the next level. We've never seen anything like them at a wedding or any event, and people are still talking about them two years later. Because of our experience with Flora Good Times, our advice to couples getting married is not to cut corners on the flower budget. We can't recommend this amazing team highly enough.

The Ruins at Sassafrass Choosing The Ruins at Sassafrass as our wedding venue was a decision that exceeded our wildest dreams. I could write pages about all the amazing things that this venue boasts, but I will highlight the points that future brides should understand when they go to book The Ruins. Being a DIY bride, the Ruins at Sassafrass provided the enchanting backdrop to bring my Pinterest board dreams to life. The rustic charm and natural beauty of the venue complemented my vision perfectly, creating a magical setting for our special day. The flexibility of the space allowed me to add personal touches, turning it into a unique and unforgettable experience. Even in late October the landscape of the mountains in the distance were breathtaking; our guests are still talking about how mesmerizing the views were. What makes our wedding story even more special is that we chose The Ruins before it was even finished. It was a leap of faith based on the vision and promises from Carol, the owner. When we did our initial tour, the venue was still in its beginning stages of completion; even then we were captivated by the potential and the unique charm it promised. What sealed the deal for us, however, was Carol's infectious enthusiasm, passion, and stylistic eye. Her vision and commitment assured us that the venue would be the perfect location for our special day, and it absolutely was! Being part of the journey from the early stages allowed us to witness the Ruins’ transformation, and it added an extra layer of excitement to our wedding planning. Despite the venue's newness and the inevitable growing pains, Carol, Lara (the on site coordinator), Jerome (Carol’s partner in life and business), and the rest of the team made sure our decision to trust them from the beginning was more than worthwhile. Being a newer venue, Carol and the team were still in the process of ironing out a few kinks. Despite some last minute hiccups, what truly stood out was Carol, Jerome, and Lara’s commitment to addressing these challenges in real-time. Their proactive approach and dedication to ensuring our day was perfect more than made up for any set backs in the planning process. This was a HUGE relief when planning such a momentous event. On our actual wedding day, when challenges arose with our day-of coordinator (that we hired separately and was not affiliated with The Ruins), Lara stepped in as our saving grace. Her quick thinking, attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and unforgettable celebration. Her ability to coordinate with our vendors and recalibrate the timeline on the spot showcased her experience and dedication. Without Lara's intervention, the day could have taken a different turn, and we are immensely grateful for her expertise and her willingness to step up and save the day. Her creative touch also helped transform the venue into a dreamlike setting, exceeding our expectations. The best part is that there are zero time restrictions on the space. Which for us, meant an after-party until 3am :)

DJ Randy from Randoz Events is the best 100%, this is my second time booking with him for my annual family BBQ, and when I tell you, he showed up and showed out, He delivered the best tunes from old school to new school from all genres of music, he had everyone jamming from the beginning till end! We had our wedding at Kindred Creeks at the beginning of May 2022. I have so many great things to say about this place! First off, Jill was extraordinary, caring, attentive and so helpful from start to finish. She was able to work within our budget while keeping our dream wedding a reality. She had rain plans, sunny day plans, plans for more or less people and was thorough throughout. Her father, Gerry, who lives in the farm came out the day before and day of the wedding to make sure we were taken care of and that anything we needed would be done. And the tent staff was kind, courteous and officiant! The grounds itself were gorgeous! We were the first to use the airstream bridal suite which got so many compliments and great photos. They also redid the bridge across the creek for the wedding party to walk over during the ceremony. I fell in love with the green barn and even though it needs to come down soon, they held off construction so we could take pictures in front of it. We got married right where the two creeks meet which was so beautiful. All our guest had nothing be great things to say and we are beyond happy with the experience. If you are thinking of taking a tour of the farm, don’t hesitate! You will fall in love just like we did!

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding. The Arnold House encompasses everything we wanted for our wedding weekend - the charm and warmth of the Catskills, a low maintenance energy with high quality offerings, and a versatile venue where each space felt uniquely different (even if we had to use the same room twice...cue cold weather and rain!) to make each night feel like its own unique experience and special moment. Working with the Arnold House: From the start, they were so flexible on making sure that what was important to us worked. For example, we had preferences on specific food and wines and the AH team made it so easy to swap (and even source!) what we wanted. This team has an incredible ability to transform each space into a beautiful one, from the spreads they put out, the greenery they pick as decor, the furniture they arrange, and all the small touches in between that matter...we are so impressed. Additionally, they were helpful to make our guest experience the best possible - accommodating special requests and just generally being warm and inviting people. Lastly, the Arnold House itself is always continuing to add and improve their offerings. So we were met with nice surprises throughout our wedding planning process. For example we got to benefit from new chairs and dinner tables, something we no longer had to think about renting. The Space and Food: Wow! Our band and dance party in the greenhouse was pure magic. And our sit down dinner in the barn was beautiful and romantic. At first we were a bit concerned about having the dance party in a separate room from dinner - but it worked out really well and actually was nice to let those who wanted to dance, dance, and those who wanted to sit and chat be able to easily do that too. We didn’t get to eat much (even though we swore we wouldn’t be those people) but our guests all said the food was great and we can say for certain that we loved the burrata, oysters, trout drip, flank steak, and pumpkin pie!! Friday was intimate and inviting in Shandelee Hall/the Sun Room with the fire burning and the wine flowing. Wood fired pizzas were perfect. The Tavern: It’s own unique experience and space - unique from everywhere else on the property. Pool table and “divey-ish” vibes - a perfect setting for junk food and afterparty. Sunday brunch was simply gorgeous in the greenhouse. Food was simple, but good, and displayed beautifully. Overall: As you can tell from this being the first review, this place feels like a really well kept secret. Having now had our wedding here, we want to shout how great the Arnold House is from the rooftop. If you’re reading this right now, trust us… make the call and visit the Arnold House! Emily and the whole team were fantastic and made our weekend feel really special. The Arnold House will always have a special place in our hearts. My name is Lauren McCarthy. My parents, photographers Wendy & Charlie McCarthy began Weefan Photography in 2001. At 11, I started watching them photograph events and weddings, and the first wedding I photographed, just as I remember my first day of school. For the past fourteen years, I have mastered each and every job related to the wedding photography business. After graduating from Siena college in 2019, I was invited by my parents to manage our family's business of professional photography, and assume the duties of managing our New York Office. ​

She's very responsive and knowledgeable about the industry and it's different trends. The day of the wedding, Lauren and her team came in and took control. There wasn't one moment I was worried things weren't going to come out how I wanted them. They even stayed a little later to take a few extra family photos for us. When we got our sneak peeks back, I was absolutely in love! They were amazing and I cannot wait to receive the rest of our photos! If you're thinking of booking Weefan Photography, definitely do it. You will not be disappointed!

We had a Fall wedding at Seminary Hill and I couldn't recommend this venue more! The view is STUNNING. The house is perfect. The guest house is an absolute bonus (we invited close friends to stay next door). And the folks at Seminary Hill are a pleasure to work with, especially the property manager Bill. He was beyond helpful and extremely friendly. He helped us wrangle vendors before the wedding, he helped with setup and when any issues arose the day before, and he was just all-around a pleasure to work with. He made our experience so enjoyable and he was also instrumental to ensuring the weekend ran smoothly. We really couldn't recommend this venue more.

Our vision for our wedding was for all our favorite people having a night out at a bar and the 76 house more than delivered! We loved the historical aspect of the restaurant and they even had little pamphlets our guests could take that shared the history of the venue. This is a bit of an untraditional wedding venue (as it is a restaurant) but that didn’t stop anyone from dancing and having a great time. From the moment we started working with Elisa (our “wedding planner” aka the woman who runs the show) she was detail oriented while willing to work with us throughout the whole process. Whether it was from payment, table arrangements, food, getting the vendors set up, etc. anything we needed, she helped. The food tasting she set up for us was amazing allowing us to try various options for the dinner. We are both laid back people so we let the chef go with any appetizers he wanted. You are able to request anything you want and they will likely be able to do it for you. The chef did not disappoint, ALL of the apps were incredible. We had one guest mention he ate 20 meatballs they were so good. There was chicken, steak skewers, lamb chops, meatballs, hummus/veggie spread (that wasn’t even all that was served). We had eaten at the restaurant a few times so we knew the food was good. However, having to serve 120 people and still make it delicious is tough but they did it well (we went with the chateaubriand, amish chicken, mahi mahi, and vegetable risotto). We requested no pork or nuts for the whole wedding. We had a wedding cake through a bakery they recommended and they also put plates of small desserts out on the tables. Aside from the food, the service was amazing. All the waiters and waitresses were attentive and extremely professional. For us, we constantly had our champagne filled and asked whether we needed something. They were on top of water refills, drink requests, clean up, etc. We really appreciated the service given to us and our guests. We heard so many times during cocktail hour that every time someone turned around they had a food option. While we did not have to go up to the bar, our guests said the bartenders were awesome, quick, and generous! Elisa worked great with our other vendors as well, making sure they had everything they needed and that things were kept on schedule (food, dances, cake, etc). We had a completely stress free evening which allowed us to have the time of our lives. She ensured that our tables were set with the centerpieces, the florals were set up, and she created a menu for us (which is great to have something taken off our plate). Elisa also, set up our various signs and ensured everything was where we had discussed. We were able to drop everything off ahead of time and not have anything to worry about the day of. Our biggest concern going to this venue was the fact that the front room was partially separated from the rest of the restaurant. We decided to sit people there who we knew would be a bit rowdier and on the dance floor so it wasn’t an issue for us at all. It did get pretty toasty in there but we were dancing the whole time and it’s an older building. The air tried its best and while sitting for dinner it was more than comfortable! We are a crazy group so I’m not surprised we were sweating lol. This was the best day and a HUGE part of that is thanks to Elisa and her whole team at the 76 house. Food, service, people are TOP NOTCH. We could go on and on but ran out of space :)

The quality and value were fantastic, especially considering they helped with set up and clean up and made sure our guests were comfortable and had everything they needed during the reception. I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. We had our wedding here on 4.13.24 and it was a dream. All of our guests were blown away by the cocktail hour spread and dinner courses (the food really was so delicious).The venue itself is naturally beautiful, and the location is excellent, with beautiful views of the Hudson even on a cloudy day. We had several guests say this was the best wedding they have every been to! I thank Victor for being so amazing throughout the entire planning process. Despite having to plan our wedding from Dallas, he was flexible with our schedules, and always had open communication. He gives you the confidence that he and his staff will take care of making your wedding celebration excellent and that is what they did. We were lucky to have Victor there the night of our wedding taking care of the details and coordinating all of the transitions of the night and made sure everything ran smoothly. He was a joy to work with. The staff was wonderful as well, all nice and professional. I recommend this venue to anyone for any event, but especially your wedding.

We started the wedding planning process by starting to look at venues. Falkirk was the first venue we had toured and immediately fell in love with it. From seeing the golf course, the waterfall, the gazebo, and incredible views, it was breathtaking and we imagined ourselves getting married there immediately. We met with Andrea during our tour, and had the pleasure of getting to work with her throughout our planning process, and was absolutely incredible on the day of our wedding! She made herself available to answer our (many) questions, going over timelines, and ensuring that our vision and dreams for the day came true. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to incredible food, not to mention the stunning views. We could not have asked for better! They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout the entire wedding weekend. Andrea was an absolute gem to work with, and made sure everything we dreamed of came true. And when we got the opportunity to have fireworks during our reception?! To this day, we have friends and family still talking about the firework show. Andrea worked seamlessly with other vendors and the firework staff to make sure it was a surprise show that no one would forget. Our wedding day was a dream, and we are so glad we had it at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club. The hotel is close to many outdoor activities: hiking, fishing, tubing and skiing as well as local wineries, breweries, antiques, shopping and art galleries, The Graham & Co. is a perfect destination for any time of the year!

We could not recommend The Graham & Co enough for couples who want a laid back, weekend away with friends and family vibe for their wedding. If you have a strong vision of what you want, are willing to coordinate the vendors yourself, and are looking for a hip and beautiful place in the Catskills, this is the spot for you. The owner Martin and the manager Nathalie were super helpful with any questions we had throughout the months leading up to our event, and the weekend of they were a phenomenal help with everything from setup to making sure every person had anything they needed. We've had so many friends and family members speak incredibly highly of both the location and the staff. We love The Graham, highly recommend, and look forward to going back for years to come!
