You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

Awarded Best of Zola
Abby wasn’t able to travel to my wedding but she sent her assistants and she edited the photos. It went absolutely perfect. The photos were beautiful and I got so many meaningful photos with my family and his family that I wouldn’t have thought to get. I sent her draft of a timeline and the photographers printed it out and had it to make sure the photos I wanted got done. They were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much to Abby and her team.

My name is Abby, a Midwest based wedding + boudoir photographer who's really obsessed with her job. I've gotten to see how directly photos can impact people. As we grow up, we realize how priceless photos are and how quality pictures become prized possessions. It's a moment in time you can forever look back on. It's easy to take pictures, but it's hard to capture moments. I'll love making magic with you, because everyone has some magic in them that deserves to be celebrated.

Abby has been the best photographer for every special moment leading up to, & on the day of, our wedding! She is extremely professional, organized, and talented! She received multiple compliments even from our guests in regards to how great she was! We can't recommend her enough! We love you Abby!

Maia Wachter-Harpist

5.0

  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Monroe, IN

Hi everyone! My name is Maia (she/her) Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out a harp lesson, and ever since that day, I haven’t looked back! In my 13 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today! Outside of my musical background , my degree is in Early Childhood Education. I am luck to work in both the childcare and music fields!

Maia is a fabulous player and a joy to work with. She’s professional, timely, and fun. She communicates well and she does so much to make sure the music she’s playing is just perfect for the event. I’ve worked with her on several events and each one, she was well prepared, enthusiastic, and just a joy to work with. I’ve since moved away, otherwise I would plan to continue to work with her for a long time to come. That said, if you’re looking for a harpist for ANY event you might need, Maia is a wonderful choice for any Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio weddings or events!

Day 1 Wedding Coordinating was a game changer for our wedding day. Not only were they there to support me in the days leading up to the wedding, but they tackled EVERYTHING that goes into the day running perfectly by contacting vendors, talking to the DJ for announcement updates, helping herd family for family photos, and every other moving piece of the puzzle that goes into a wedding. With Day 1, you have the classiest, kindest, and most reliable women on your side for your special day, and it couldn't have been an easier decision to have Lori and her team a part of it all. If you are considering a coordinator, Day 1 are your girls!

To sum myself up in this “about you” section is nearly impossible so here are a few things you must know. I like to have a good time with fun, real people, who love to laugh. You can expect to see me always smiling and have no shame in dancing with you on the dance floor to get some of the best photos. I just celebrated my one year anniversary with my husband, Nick and I am obsessed with my pup, Rylee. We love to travel, try new things, and are almost always outside, but I'll always come in for my fave snack of a charcuterie board and glass of wine.

We found Paige through an Instagram search of Indiana wedding photographers and fell in love with her style. I asked my brother who has a photographer eye for his opinion and he said, “she takes genuinely good pictures and doesn’t rely on a filter or editing to make them good.” So we booked her. And it was honestly the best decision my husband and I made. We booked her before any other vendor or even our venue so our wedding date revolved around having her as a photographer. She listened to every vision, thought, question we had and she made it feel like we knew her forever. When she did our engagement photos I was a little nervous at first because my husband is not a photo person, but she lead posing, positioning, and facial expressions so well. We were OBSESSED with our engagement photos and had them all over our reception and our house. On wedding day, the girls started to get behind with hair and make up and Paige had it all figured out. She added buffer time in the schedule and rearranged the schedule so that we were still on time for our ceremony. Before our first look, I felt like my hair piece was falling out and she fixed it so well that it held up for our grand entrance to the reception. Paige did so well with family portrait time and I have a huge family that she was able to wrangle and photograph the quickest and best I have ever seen. She helped pin up my bustle that was loose, carried our food so it wouldn’t spill on us, and took my hairpiece out for the reception repinning the loose hairs that stayed until our last dance. Now these are not in her job description but I feel are important to mention because she is the biggest reason our day ran so smoothly. She really thinks of everything and is prepared for everything. Paige made it feel like a friend was taking our pictures and we are SO grateful. We just have our sneak peeks right now but we are so excited to see the full gallery because the sneak peeks are stunning. My family and friends love the pictures so much. My husband’s grandma told me she looks through the sneak peeks before bed to relive the day because our photographer captured it so well she can remember every moment she looks at. Hiring Paige as your photographer is the best decision you could make for your day and when we start a family we will be using her again for maternity pictures.

Hi, I'm Julie. Photographer & outdoor enthusiast. You want your genuine, joyful love captured on your wedding day. But right now you just feel, stressed, nervous, maybe even clueless….! As a wedding photographer, I don’t just show up on your wedding day. I come alongside you so that your wedding photography journey is easy as possible. Putting people at ease and using locations wisely (aka: creating beautiful photos from not-so-beautiful places) is my jam!

Julie is great. I first met her when she did my high school senior pictures and was impressed by how they turned out. My then-fiance and I asked if she would come shoot our wedding near Cinci (quite a drive for her) and she happily agreed. She was super sweet throughout the entire process. She did a complementary engagement shoot a few months before the wedding and used the opportunity to get to know both of us. I've never known a photographer to put actual effort into knowing their clients, until I met her. She definitely makes her clients feel uniquely cared for. Our wedding pictures turned out wonderfully. They are very colorful and bright, but not in a way that feels heavily edited or artificial. The pictures feel true to how my wife and I remember that day. The prints and books we ordered through her also turned out great. Overall, we cannot recommend Julie enough. Would rate six stars if we could.

I was introduced to The Red Stiletto this past year at a Bridal Expo. I had not originally chosen them for my Wedding as it ended up some distance away. I kept their information and followed up after COVID restrictions lessened and our Wedding was performed in our back yard. The owner is very responsive, polite, sincere, and accommodating. I went to the salon several times before my Wedding and felt comfortable with my decision to chose them for my Wedding hair and makeup. The artists showed up early to set up, were very professional, had positive and upbeat attitudes, and did an amazing job with everyone, and finished perfectly on time. I would highly suggest The Red Stiletto to those who want a great job done with staff that puts them first. I continue to be a client at this salon as I had just moved here and was unfamiliar with my options. After dealing with two other salons here, I feel happy with my choice.

Wandering Spirits was a fantastic choice for the bar services and beverages at our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was timely and they demonstrated a strong understanding of web-based platforms, making the planning process seamless. The team was hardworking, personable, and incredibly creative - they worked closely with us to design a custom bar setup that perfectly fit the theme of our wedding. Their efforts were a huge hit with all of our guests, who raved about the delicious cocktails and overall vibe they brought to the celebration. We couldn't have asked for a better bar vendor, and highly recommend Wandering Spirits to any couple planning their big day.

Purdue Fort Wayne International Ballroom

5.0

Fort Wayne, IN
  • Venue
  • Up to 350 guests

  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,200

Purdue Fort Wayne offers a variety of spaces for any number of events, large or small. Our ballrooms are the perfect location for weddings, conferences, etc. We have ample parking near our venues as well as being right next door to a large hotel.

PFW is one of our favorite venues to provide services for. The loading area is level and goes right into the kitchen. They have 2 refridgerators and 2 ice machines available at no cost to vendors which provides a lower quote cost to the clients. Accessability is usually noon the day of the event in most cases. Parking is close and plentiful. They have plenty of Audio Visual options for your event. The only cons are some alcohol restrictions (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and if you have to adjust any event times last minute.

Growing up at FWCC, I had always dreamed of my wedding being held there. Jacqueline was able to help make all my wedding wishes come true for our big day! The venue was picture perfect (as always), and the amenities for all of our guests to use day-of were spotless! The food was also fantastic - We had multiple guests comment on how fantastic their dinners were, especially since wedding dinners are usually cold and generic. Our vendors were all so excited to be able to come together in one of their favorite venues in town, and it made for a perfect day. I couldn't recommend FWCC more highly for any couple looking to host their wedding in a timeless setting!

I highly recommend this company to take photos at your wedding! We loved our photographer Percy. He was incredible, and so helpful. He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.8

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Monroe, IN

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
This was by far one of the best decisions and money savers I could’ve done for myself. The flowers were top quality, beautiful, and we had a blast putting them together with our family. Flower Mocie is simple and they have videos that will help you prepare in advance for your vision and piecing your bouquets together. I was quoted 5000 for florals by other vendors, but with flower moxie and a little creativity, we only spent 500 to cover 12 bouquets and 16 boutonnières. HIGGLY RECOMMEND
