Joshua Fernandez Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,500
  • Serves Miranda, CA for additional fees

Hi. I’m Josh. Our work is based in Washington, DC, often in San Francisco and we’re happy to travel. The best photographs are simple, unobtrusive, and spontaneous. Memory fills in the gaps - this is how authentic photography captivates us. We've always sought to remember things exactly how they happened - how we felt. The goal is to unobtrusively document your day through artful frames. I'm a firm believer there is no single best photographer anywhere in the world - but there are artist the align with your vision. Please look us up on Google (Joshua Fernandez Photography) and see how past clients describe their experience with us. :)

I would highly recommend Joshua Fernandez Photography. He was amazing! Joshua was very easy to communicate with. He always responded in a timely manner and was willing to help with anything. Joshua made the process feel very easy and stress free. He captured so many great moments from our wedding. He captured all of the pictures that I could have hoped for and more! I will definitely be using him again in the future.

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,790
  • Serves Miranda, CA for additional fees

Hi, I'm Candace and I have a thing for weddings! I didn't start as a wedding photographer, I actually started as a BIRTH photographer surprisingly! I was addicted to capturing real and raw moments for families to have and relive over and over. I actually was nervous for weddings, which is why I didn't start doing them. One thing led to another and as people started asking me if I WOULD shoot their wedding, I decided to give it a try. Fast-forward to dozens and dozens of weddings later and I am obsessed!! I am a full fledged wedding photographer and I LOVE capturing every single moment of your day. The addiction is real!!

Candace is so great! She makes you look the best, is so nice, and keeps everything natural. We got our pictures back so quickly. Highly recommend.

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Miranda, CA for additional fees

Hey there!! My name is Marilyn and I'm so glad you're here ♡ I am a couples + wedding photographer based in New York City, and happy to travel to wherever your day is at! I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

Awarded Best of Zola
I couldn’t say better things about Marilyn if I tried. She was the first photographer who’s portfolio we fell for in our search, and while trying to budget and explore other options, we made our way back to Marilyn and questioned why we ever even bothered looking anywhere else. We did a round of engagement photos with her first, after an initial zoom to meet and get to know her. From the zoom alone we could tell right away what kind of sweet, wonderful, magical person she was. I felt like I was talking to an old friend immediately. During our engagement shoot, which myself and my now husband were SO nervous for (we are both awkward and camera shy, and I don’t know how to stop running my mouth during photos because of it) she made us laugh SO many times and immediately melted our anxieties away. We knew we made the perfect choice in a person to take care of us on our wedding day in that moment. We have so far received our previews, and we are simply in love. Marilyn captured intimate moments, fun moments, and beautiful, emotional moments that helped us feel like we were reliving our day all over again. She guided us through the day, took us to the best spots, got the photos we asked for, all without either of us having to think about a single thing or logistic at any point. She was on it. She is and was such a treat and added the kindest most comforting attitude and energy to our day, and all of our family and bridal party agree along with us (we got quite a few “where and how did you find her??”s). We also added a second shooter via Marilyn (who was also sincerely lovely) for just one hour, during our pre-ceremony and ceremony, for a little extra coverage and timeline speed, and a roll of film which was so much fun too. If you love artistic and stylized photos, and are seeking someone with both a great eye and wonderful, calming presence, I mean it, look no further. We are so happy we found Marilyn.

Gabriella Marie Photography

Hey y’all! My name's Gabriella, I love sunshine and I'm a documentary-style wedding & engagement photographer based in Philadelphia. I'm a hopeless romantic and I adore documenting love stories with my camera in a beautiful & compelling way. Basically, I’m a down-to-earth gal from Pennsylvania who got hooked on the travel bug at college in Georgia (go dawgs!!), has a passion for storytelling and absolutely loves love. Running, biking and chasing sunsets are my favorite pastimes. I’m team coffee AND team tea. I dream real big and I’m full of ambition. Oh, and I'm not just you wedding photographer ... I'm your new friend :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Gabriella was everything and more we could have possibly hoped for. She traveled all the way to Carbondale, CO from Philadelphia for our shoot and was extremely flexible and accommodating in terms of the types of shots/events we were looking for her to shoot. She was at the rehearsal dinner, getting ready morning, first-look, ceremony and reception and from what we've seen of the photos so far absolutely knocked it out of the park. She was extremely professional in how she was able to work with and coordinate our wedding planner, was very good about planning out the shots ahead of time (shot lists, made sure we had sunset photos, etc.), and was also extremely fun and spontaneous during our shoots and made it feel so so natural. I could not recommend her more highly, and would suggest anyone look into booking her NOW!

Sokol & Co Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Miranda, CA for additional fees

Here's what you should know: First, it's pronounced Sokol like 'vocal'. We're Polish... like kraut-and-pierogi-at-every-family-gathering-Polish. Second, we're a husband and wife wedding photography duo that believes it's the little things that make the story come to life. From the knowing glances across a crowded room to the hand squeezes when you're about to walk down the aisle, you can trust us to capture your most romantic, candid moments.

I first “met” Savannah through Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work. After about two years of following her I was lucky enough to win a session with her! Those pictures were probably some of the best pictures ever taken of us. She even was able to work with my request of making me “not look pregnant” when I was 5 months along and she killed it!! Quickly after I knew I needed her as our wedding photographer. We booked our date around her schedule and it is something that I would do again and again if I had to. She truly tells a story with her photos and not to mention is a breeze to work with (as well as being one of the sweetest people you will meet)!

We had Arie our our engagement shoot photography and will be using her again for our wedding in June 2024! She was amazing and helped us both feel so comfortable during our shoot. Despite rain in the second half of our session she was still able to capture magic! We are looking forward to having her capture all the special moments at our wedding. With photography, I don't say "I have to go to work" I say "I get to!" I've been behind the camera for over 8 years now and have enjoyed every moment of it. My goal is not to gain a portfolio but new friends, and I do everything I can for my friends. I like to make sure with every couple that I'm finding the best way to serve them. I want every step of the way to feel fun and free and to take away the stress of wedding planning. Getting you beautiful photos and helping you relive your day is what I'm here for!

Awarded Best of Zola
Caden was fantastic to work with! He went out and scouted several areas, but was also flexible when we requested a specific venue location for our elopement. Caden captured so many precious moments and truly took into consideration our vision and what was most important to us. I wasn’t even aware as he was all over the place capturing gorgeous candid shots. We’re obsessed with the end results. The pictures perfectly capture the mood/vibe of eloping in the mountains and the pure joy that follows. Also great at posing suggestions and making you comfortable in front of the camera!

She was very responsive and thorough in her communication with us leading up to the big day, answering all of our questions in detail. On the wedding day itself, Madison was fast and efficient at taking photos, while still making sure to capture all the special moments. She gave clear directions for posing and navigating the family dynamics and crowds with ease. Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is not enough good things we can say about Sarah! From day 1, she had great communication before the proposal while deciding the perfect location and how we would meet up with her. She executed flawlessly and I never saw her until the ring was on my finger even though she followed us for a bit before the big moment. She made us feel so comfortable for the photoshoot after and was willing to go to a few different spots with us all while carrying all of our stuff so it wouldn’t be in our pockets for the pictures. We received the sneak peeks the next day and were blown away with how well they turned out, she nailed it!! She got the big “I do” moment which was most important and then captured so many other sweet moments right before and after that I will forever be so grateful we can relive because of her photos. The best thing about her is that you can feel the joy coming out of the screen when you look through her galleries. So many people have raved over how well our engagement photos turned out. Everyone should book Sarah, she is so great at what she does!!

Christine is a joy to work with! I had met her previously when she was hired by my Aunt and Uncle for their vow renewal, so when we got engaged I reached out to her immediately! We did both our engagement photos and wedding with Christine and it was such a wonderful experience. She makes getting your photo taken over and over again easy and not a awkward. Her communication style is very clear throughout the booking and scheduling processes, she worked seamlessly with our coordinator when it came to creating our wedding day timeline, and she shared wonderful recommendations for shooting locations. Swoyer Photography

I love what I do. I found my way to professional photography in a roundabout way, having started my working career as a marine scientist and environmental educator in CA and then on Maui. After years immersed in the ocean and hundreds of hours spent underwater, I realized that I was happiest on days when I could adventure freely with a camera in hand. The drive to learn more and become a better photographer lead me back to school on the east coast, where I ended up finding a new dream career and a home and community that I love.

We reached out to several photographers in 2019 after we got engaged. Ultimately we chose to work with Laura because she was incredibly kind and flexible right off the bat; after looking at previews of her work, it was strikingly clear that she was experienced and knew exactly what she was doing. It was an easy decision for us to make. She immediately offered to do an engagement photo shoot with us and brought us to some beautiful spots in the Fall of 2019. We met at an apple orchard first and then went on a hike together. This gave us a chance to get to know each other better and we quickly realized we made the right choice working with her. She turned around the photos very fast. Laura also gave us a lot of help and perspective about wedding planning based on her experience which we greatly appreciated, she was very consultative and helpful in that way. Then in 2020 the pandemic arrived and she was extremely flexible and consistently professional in her communication with us. We really respected that especially considering how stressful it must be as a professional photographer during these uncertain & strange times. In July 2021 we were finally able to pull off our wedding and Laura was again extremely helpful in advising us in the timeline of our day and made sure that we got every single photo we wanted. She showed up well in advance and her husband Mike was helping out as her assistant. They stuck by our sides and were incredibly supportive but also took initiative in getting creative with their suggestions and managed to capture the most powerful moments. Finally, their execution and delivery was outstanding. We were truly blown away by the beauty of their work and could not have been more satisfied. If you are looking for a skilled, professional, helpful, kind, fun photography team you should book Swoyer photography. We will always think of Laura and Mike as we reflect on our wedding day for the rest of our lives!
